Of that, Chi Lian had absolutely no doubt in her mind. The culprit was not one of theirs. If it was, she would know. They were not shy about bragging in the family chat about taking down morons that messed with their family.
The question was: how did her do it?
Those horses had apparently vanished early in the morning. No cameras had caught anything, which was not surprising because Jingzhe was a great hacker.
The gates of the Xu farm where not tampered with. The guards and workers recalled nothing peculiar, except for cold air and some mist.
One reported hearing vibrations, heat from the sky and a thud.
The more Chi Lian thought about it, the more she wondered if Jingzhe had used a Blue Galactic space ship with invisibility settings. The heat could have come from the engines.
The thud could have been the ship landing on the farm. And the cold and mist....maybe it was a distraction. She could only make guesses but she had a feeling that her finger was right on the money.
It was the only explanation which made sense! The horses had been gassed, put on the space ship and flown away. As for the workers and guards not missing, maybe that mist or cold air carried something that distorted their memories.
"Maybe it was him, or maybe not. I cannot begin to guess." She said.
Their phones chimed at the same time alerting them to the newest post made by the peep star.

Nobody was more surprised more than me when it reached my ears that Lady Chi had actually encouraged her prodigal daughter to pick up horse racing from where she left off.
And this was with only three weeks left to the Vermillion Derby!!
I thought they were insane so I decided to watch and see how it would play out. Imagine my surprise when I witnessed scheming, slapping, name calling and the relentless spirit of a former champion to return to glory.
Not only did she suffer grueling training, she also ate and slept in the same stable as her horse, Thunder Muyang!! Talk about dedication!
So, it did not surprise me when she came out as the eventual winner. She was not racing for pleasure, she was racing to prove a point.
Will this shut the doubters up or will she have to win a few more races to prove that she is still the woman she once was?
Other things that I saw but some of you missed.
1. Xu Ren broke apart and she was put on a plane by her parents and sent abroad for a vacation.
2. Wu Tangning and Jun Mingzhe held a two minute conversation and swapped books. Will Lady Chi finally have that daughter-in-law she has been hoping for?
3. Princess Long Shuang was very well behaved!! It looks like she truly turned a new leaf. How long this will last is unknown.
4. One too many hopeful single ladies curtsied before the emperor more than necessary. Then again, he is the most wanted widower in the world right now.
5. Li Li Li the comedian showed up to the race in disguise. Is he seeking help to revive his dying career?
6. Princess Ruoxi finalized talks with her aunt Princess Rize. Ruoxi will inherit tea with a princess, becoming its next host in five years time. I would say nepotism but the show is called tea with a princess. You need to be a real princess to host it.
7. Rong Meihua kept whispering to her husband-to-be that he should call her hubby! All the while feeding him Huaqi’s new truffle blackcurrant cheesecake which is not on the market. They devoured a whole cake!! Talk about greed!
As for everything else that occurred, enjoy it in pictures as you wait for Chapter 6 of that tell all book. Hint: It is about the Prince Long.....take a guess!]
Rose covered her mouth and giggled. "I cannot believe that Meihua is really insisting on making her little husband call her hubby."
Chi Lian sniggered. "I saw them, his face was red. He looked so cute and shy."
Rose was surprised that her mother had noticed such a thing during Mei Mei’s return race. Hadn’t all of her attention been focused on Mei Mei?
Her thoughts did not dwell much on it and she looked at the pictures of Tangning and Mingzhe. "Mingzhe actually smiled when he was taking a book from her. Maybe there is hope for a relationship here."
Chi Lian frowned. "Or maybe there is hope for friendship. I think everyone should stop being excited. Mingzhe is like a storm on the sea. He is unpredictable. If he figures out that she is doing all these things deliberately, he will either find her gutsy and intriguing or scheming and bothersome. And the peep star is wrong. I am not in a rush to get a daughter-in-law."
Rose was surprised. "Really?"
Chi Lian nodded. "Human life was extended to between 150 to 200. Mingzhe is twenty nine years old. Why should I rush him into marriage?
Even if he marries at fifty or sixty, I will not mind. Anyway, you and Mei Mei have already given me grandchildren and you will both give me more in future."
Rose raised two hands. "Just two more. I will not go beyond four and I will wait until Jang Lian is ten before having another."
Chi Lian shrugged. "The choice is yours. Even if you stop at Lian, I will not say anything. No matter what choice you make, I will support you.
As for your brother, I would love to see him dating but marriage is something else. Of course, if he ever decides to marry Tangning and she is not problematic, he will have my full support.
It will take some convincing to make his grandfather accept her however. He hopes that Mingzhe will marry from the royal family or from the top noble houses. Anything outside of that..."
She left it hanging but Rose understood what her mother did not say. Anything outside of that would be unacceptable to her grandfather.
This was because Mingzhe would be the patriarch of the Jun family someday. His wife needed to come from a family that could support him, if he ever needed it.
Tangning was from a small family in D city. There were two children in the family, her and her brother Wu Jiufang. Her parents favored Wu Jiufang and sucked Tangning as if she was the tap, overflowing with money which they were entitled to.

With that kind of background, was there hope for the two?
