As soon as her bark was stopped, General Big Yellow appeared in the doorway, looking puzzled. He was searching for the new small dog in the house which barked in auto tune.

"Did you have to bark?" Rose asked Mei Mei.

She shrugged. "It was the only thing I could think of to draw everyone’s attention. Now can we get back to subject of Meihua’s marriage. Who is this Duan Siping and why are you marrying him? Are you done with Mr. Bo and what about our good friend that you accidentally kissed twice?"

"The one she kissed is dating my aunt Jian Yu’s daughter." Tao Taiyuan shared.

Her aunt Jian Yu had been secretly dating her uncle Tao Shuming for two months and she got pregnant. The two tied the knot in a secret wedding and Jian Yu who was an actress retired and became Lady Jian Yu, a noble.

"For some reason, they have been keeping their relationship a secret like her parents did when they were dating." Taiyuan continued. "In order to make her feel more secure in the relationship, Mr. Si will not be spending any more social time with us and they are now telling people about their relationship."

As her friends and sisters avoided her eyes, Mei Mei continued on with a personal observation. "I do not think that the Duan’s are on anybody’s list if they are as poor as you all say they are."

After she left the living room Zhilan said to Mei Mei, "Your mother-in-law is very nice. Every time I....."

Rose handed Mei Mei a cracker which she snatched with a huff.

Madam Feng slipped and six cups of Creme Brulee she had brought for the guests went flying.

Meihua took one of the Creme Brulee’s from Madam Feng while responding to Mei Mei. "Of course, why else would I pay two hundred million in dowry for a man. He is not the first man to marry into another noble family in exchange for resources.

As for the children, they will still carry the Duan name. My great grandfather does not want any confusion about where they come from. The Rong family must remain in control of the Rong’s."

"Tell her the best part." Zhilan stared at Meihua with a challenge in her eyes.

Mei Mei’s eyes lit up. What more was there to this arranged marriage? She also wanted to know how the Rong family would benefit from Duan Siping marrying in.

"He is your little boyfriend’s age mate." Rose blurted out.

"Because I can’t go through the Meilin list again." Meihua groaned. "And when his sister’s research bears fruit, the Rong family will own seventy percent of it."
