Mission royal boot was still unfinished and the hours had dragged on. It was coming to 7 P.M. and the details had not been finalized. The explosion had to look natural, something that would not raise doubts or leave for questions.
One more participant had joined the meeting. Jun Mingzhe. While others had been discussing, he had been hatching a plot in his mind and he was ready to share it.
He started by clearing his throat and projecting on a hologram an image he had been drawing on his phone with a smart pen.
"Is that a jelly fish?" The Empress Mother asked.
Mingzhe nodded. "Step one, the Empress should be released from confinement and urged to go around speaking out against smart mirrors and dangers of all other forms of technology.
Step two, the Trojan jelly fish. All the Space M space ships have jelly fish, it is their signature pet or part of their attraction or whatever..." He raised his eyes and attempted and eye roll. "All we have to do is replace the real jelly fish with fake jelly fish that are rigged to blow or act as catalysts to push the ship into exploding.
Step three, find a reason to put only the Empress and other traitors of our empire on that space ship. We pass them off as collateral damage.
Step four, plant more explosive devices in the ship’s music system. They always play music before and during take off.
Step five, just before detonation, we hack into the ship’s comms to send a message: "You should’ve never messed with technology.
The final step, as the space ship rises to the sky is a trigger of the jelly fish which connects to the music system and then boom! We light them up like disco balls in the sky."
Jingzhe was a genius, but he had forgotten that there was another genius in the group. Mingzhe’s plan was smart, they could create many misleading assumptions about the explosion. People would assume one or all the high tech companies were involved.
Others would naturally blame Cosmosis and their technology and others would blame terrorism. The Emperor would become a victim, the Empress would be a martyr, enemy spies within their empire would die and everyone would come out smiling.
The Emperor would mourn for half a year and openly start going on cute dates with Kang Zhenzhen. Press would capture them and share some kind of story like how they connected through grief or something.
When they married, everyone would cheer. Junjie would hopefully have a son and they would all live happily ever after.
The Empress Mother was impressed and she clapped. "I knew that I made the right call when I invited you in Mingzhe."
Mingzhe nodded once, grabbed his badge and gun and he excused himself.
"So do we all agree with this plan?" Chi Lian asked them.
Everyone in the room nodded or verbally shared their approval. They distributed tasks and the meeting was called to an end.
"I will start working on the jelly fish." Jingzhe excused himself and he left.

Back at home, Mei Mei was still reading the notes of doctor Zhou Jingmeihua.
[The eggs have been here for half a year and there has been no change. On the up side, my legs are stronger and more flexible than ever.
We have made some progress in DNA Synthesis, Doctor Wu Kun made a breakthrough in developing what we are calling genetically scrambled eggs [GSE]. They are creatures born from eggs of normal creatures and fragmented DNA of extinct beasts.
Three creatures have been hatched and they have been named subject one, two and three.
Subject one is an eight legged lizard named Cao. He is the combination of Monitor lizard+Tyrannosaurus rex + draco lizard. He is six meters long, armored hide and vestigial wings.
The eight legs have made me wonder if Doctor Wu secretly added spider DNA and kept the secret to himself. It would not surprise me because we all have our own secrets in this lab.
Cao is the smartest lizard that I have ever seen and his nano-muscular leaps make me want to sign him up for the olympics.
We often play hide and seek and he always wins because his echo-location capabilities are more excellent than those of any creature of the night.
Doctor Wu is not too happy about the fact that I have turned his super lizard into a simple pet. I think he was hoping to grow Cao into some kind of Godzilla.
Cao does have some traits that are questionable. He is territorial and strives to dominate any habitat he inhabits. He kills all the creatures in his vicinity and considers himself sovereign. I fear for what he will do if he is unleashed on the world. Perhaps he will want to own an entire city and the humans living in it must vacate or die. The other option could be accepting his reign and becoming his servants!
He is also obsessed with mirrors so his habitat must have at least sixty mirrors at all times. If it is less than that, he can tell and he roars furiously to let us know of his displeasure. I am noting it down as narcissism because I cannot tell any other reason as to why he wants to admire his reflection all the time.
Subject two is a snake named Yama. He is a mix of cobra + unknown snake DNA + Sanajeh.
I have no clue where Doctor Wu possibly found ancient Sanajeh DNA samples. Yama, is an eleven foot long serpent and still growing. I worry that he will be at least fifty feet long when his evolution ends.
His skin is dark but shiny as if he is dipped in oil 24/7. Along his spine are spikes. His slitted eyes are like eclipses and his venom glands emit vapor.
His gaze is quite hypnotic so we have to wear special glasses when we approach his enclosure. One worker dared to go close without glasses and he was turned into voluntary lunch. Yama slithers from one place to another in milliseconds
He loves the water and is very protective of his territory. He is a predator whose favorite prey are the eggs and hatchling of other creatures. If he captures them alive, he squeezes until their squeals attract the attention of the parents and then he devours the hatchling while looking at the parent or listening to their outraged cries.
I have seen a sadistic streak in Yama’s eyes. His predatory behavior is similar to that of some human serial killers whose desire is to cause pain to the parents of their victims.
I have advised Doctor Wu to kill him while he is still young. Such a creature should not be allowed to exist, no matter how much of a marvel it is!]
