Chapter 12: Reverse

Sho finally entered his inner world. Unlike the real world, he found himself standing in the sky, surrounded by an endless expanse of clouds and shimmering light. The atmosphere was serene yet carried an undeniable sense of power. As he took a step forward, a young girl appeared before him. She had long silver hair, piercing golden eyes, and a presence that felt both ethereal and commanding.

Sho narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?"

She smiled faintly and replied, "My name is Reverse, and I am your power."

Sho was taken aback. "You are my power? What do you mean?"

"If you want this power," she continued, "you need to pass three tests."

Sho clenched his fists. "I'm ready for anything."

Reverse nodded. "Very well. Your first test is Truth."

Sho tilted his head. "Truth? I don't get it."

She raised a hand, and suddenly, the sky around them darkened. "If you were surrounded by enemies, what would you do? You have two options: Option 1 – You run. Option 2 – You attack them."

Sho thought for a moment. "It's Option 1."

Reverse's expression remained unreadable. "Interesting. Let's move to the next test: Faith."

Sho blinked. "Wait, did I pass the first test?"

Reverse rolled her eyes. "Shut up. I'm the only one asking questions here."

Sho sighed. "Fine, fine. What's the question?"

Reverse's eyes gleamed. "If you are facing an opponent who has twice your power level, will you still stay confident?"

Sho didn't hesitate. "Yes, I am."

Reverse smirked. "And why is that?"

Sho crossed his arms. "Why should I lose my confidence just because his power level is higher than mine? Strategy wins wars, not power."

For the first time, Reverse smiled genuinely. "Well said. Then we move to your last test – Protection."

A chain suddenly materialized in Sho's hand. He looked at it curiously. "What is this?"

Reverse took a step forward. "If I pull this chain, I win. If you keep it safe, you win."

Sho's lips curled into a smirk. "How much time do I have to protect it?"

"No time limit. I will try to take it until I succeed."

Sho's smirk widened. "I get it."

Before Reverse could react, Sho yanked the chain on his own.

Reverse's eyes widened in shock. "Impossible! How did you think of that?"

Sho chuckled. "I just wanted to try it. Turns out, it worked."

Reverse let out a small laugh, shaking her head. "You truly are unpredictable. Reverse is a deadly weapon. Use it wisely, Sho." With that, she slowly faded and merged into his body.

Back in the real world, an immense aura erupted around Sho, causing the very air to tremble. Everyone nearby felt an overwhelming pressure, their bodies frozen in place. Kyoko gasped, taking a step back. "This... this is unreal!"

Daigo shielded his eyes from the bright glow. "Sho... what is this power?!"

Even Fuyutake, a master warrior, felt a chill down his spine. "I knew you had hidden potential, but this... this surpasses all expectations."

The entire Azure Mountain quaked under Sho's presence. Fuyutake suddenly summoned his dragon and sent it soaring toward Sho at full speed. The massive beast roared, flames spewing from its mouth, as it lunged at Sho.

Sho remained still. He calmly raised his hand and whispered, "Reverse Ring."

A glowing ring appeared around him, pulsating with energy. As soon as the dragon made contact with the ring, its form shimmered and, in an instant, it reversed—transforming back into Fuyutake himself.

Fuyutake's eyes widened in disbelief as he struggled to regain control. "This... this isn't possible! My own technique turned against me?!"

Daigo suddenly appeared in front of Fuyutake, reaching out with his hand. "Let me try something."

With a single touch, the dragon essence that had returned to Fuyutake instantly dissolved. Fuyutake stumbled back, his breathing heavy.

Daigo smirked. "I can evolve and devolve any creature, remember?"

Sho's aura remained powerful, his presence making even the strongest warriors feel insignificant. Kyoko and Daigo exchanged glances, their expressions a mix of awe and fear.

Fuyutake took a deep breath, regaining his composure. He studied Sho intently before speaking. "Sho... your power level... it's at 20,000."

Kyoko gasped. "20,000?! That's impossible!"

Daigo clenched his fists. "He surpassed all of us in an instant. This is insane."

Sho remained silent, his eyes glowing with newfound strength. A storm was coming, and he was ready for it.
