Chapter 20: I Know This Feeling!

The Don was very pleased... Okay, he was fuming from all the chaos.

"You think you’re hot stuff, huh?!" he yelled, then brought out a cube from his pocket.

It began to expand and transform into something bigger and lengthy, with stands.

Okay, it turned into a bazooka thingy, with pulsing blue lines around the metallic surface.

Mhm... I can’t access all my memories, but I think I recognize those blue lines:

They’re from a type of mineral meant to disrupt Kami particles.

A hit from that would overwhelm a godman.

"For Mio..." Mr. Don growled. "For Minase... Die, you death god phony?!"

PEEEEEWWW!!

The bazooka burst out a large blue beam of light at Ken’s location.

Ken raised his hand, and the light stopped moving, a few feet from him—almost like he’d frozen the reality around that space.

Then some engraved scribbles of ancient symbols and characters materialized, circling around Ken’s hand.

Those same characters materialized in different corners, surrounding the Don and his family, wider than the one in his hand.

"T-Toki..." Black Widow had begun to tremble. "Toki, what’s happening here...?"

The bazooka was still going, before Don increased something at the side, and the intensity increased.

The beam struggled visibly to penetrate its frozen state, but it couldn’t move far.

"Be gone."

Ken voiced, and golden lights emerged from the encircling symbols surrounding them.

Then... silence.

There was a 200-meter-deep crater where they all stood, but vehicles, people, weapons—they were all swallowed by the scorching light of the Shinigami Ō.

Just a shushing sound from the light, and everything disappeared.

Ken’s eyes still looked like a dragon’s.

My guess was, he was currently unconscious.

I guess we should snap him back to earth.

I’m convinced without a doubt now.

Kurosawa Ken... is Ljósari, the Salvation. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

As I emerged from the shadows, my fur turned back to its fluctuating state between white and black.

Before Ken, a gathering of individuals were kneeling.

"We... have done as you instructed, Ō," Yamada spoke for the group.

Ken brought his eyes down at them. "So... I can... meet the last... train?"

And he fell.

I immediately appeared behind him to catch him.

"Are you back to normal?" I asked him, absorbing the excess energy he was emitting.

"Ferry?" He blinked slowly. "What happened? I think I saw Yamada... and his sister?"

I laughed aloud. "Of course! You have [Valhalla] now; the legendary realm of the fallen... They’re under your command. Whenever you wish for their services, they’ll appear."

Ken then wore a speculative expression. I could just guess he was looking for ways to use them efficiently.

Normally, his peers would go, "Really?! I have something as cool as that?!"

He was pretty beat up now and needed sleep.

I’m amazed he still retains his senses after all those stunts he pulle—

Wait...

I know this feeling!!

I turned my neck to the west immediately, as I felt something so familiar, it was basically trauma at this point!

There the bitch was: her medium-length hair fluttering in the wind, that black attire that’d forever haunt me...

She was about a mile away, on a tall mast, her dark eyes on me... No, Ken?!

"Okay, okay!" I waved at the fallen warriors. "It’s time to go back!"

"Hm? What about him?" Mio asked. "He doesn’t look well."

Ah, so now you’re in love with him?!

Go home!

And what’s with that frown, Minase?!

"No, no! It’s fine," I assured them. "But everything will go wrong in the next few minutes, I swear, if we don’t start packing!"

They began to get into the cracks in space, returning to Valhalla.

"Ferry, is there something wrong?"

"Yes, there’s everything wrong!!" I began to freak out. "We have to get you out of here, and conceal those enormous energies leaking off you, as soon as possible!"

I put him on my back, then enlarged my form to be half that of a horse.

"But I sense no threat," he was still in a daze.

"Hold on to my fur tightly, okay," I instructed. "You know those Kamijutsu Killers, the ones I told you about?"

"...Yes, I remember."

"Good. The particular one who killed me is already on us. So we’ll be fleeing with everything I have now — a train would be too slow!"

At that, I turned pure white, then vanished like the wind. This was Divine Wolf form, which gives me considerable authority over the wind and water.

I was currently moving as fast as a bullet train now.

And I still have the foreboding feeling that I’m not fast enough to escape HER!
