Chapter 95: Father and Daughter.
Su diligently followed the so called father and daughter duo as they transversed the mansions halls.
Even she herself had been stunned back there, never expecting her own young master to do such a thing, after all, he’d only seen Emily’s mother once.
Regarding her being non-human, she didn’t feel it was surprising since he’d once shown her a level of affection she never thought she’d get from him, and she was a non-human as well, a creature born of the supernatural.
Eventually, they reached his chambers, Lucuis had Emily in his arms so Su stepped forward and opened the doors, allowing them all to step inside. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
" Woah..." A gasp escaped the little girl’s mouth after witnessing his room, she thought the dinning hall was far too grand but his luxurious living quarters were equally as grand.
" So what do you think of your father’s room." Lucuis asked with a light smile before playing her atop his soft comfortable luxurious bed.
The poor child sprawled atop it, as if trying to let this wonderful sensation sink in.
" It’s the best." Emily whispered in a trembling voice, she thought he might’ve been up to something when he told her that her mother had decided to marry him and asked that he took care of her, but after laying atop this heavenly bed, her suspicions all vanished for the time being.
Seeing her little friend enjoying herself so much, Su resisted the urge to chuckle, when she remembered that there was something on her mind, she was able to calm down right after.
Although their was some hints of skepticism on her face.
" Y-Young master, might I be presumptuous enough as to ask one–"
" Su, could you please be a dear and go get Emily some food." Lucuis cut her off mid sentence, his attention focused on the little angel attempting to make sheet angels[?] on the bed.
Emily’s voice faltered momentarily, cut of guard, but she nodded right after. " Of course, as you wish young master. I’ll be back shortly." She said before departing.

Su returns to the door with a tray of food in hand, placing the tray on one hand, she gently pushed open the door before stepping inside and closing it from the inside.
Once done, she carried the tray of food towards Emily who was still having lots of fun with the bed.
’ At this rate she’ll be glued to that thing all day.’ Su secretly thought to herself, chuckling softly.
" As you requested young master." She placed the tray of food, containing breakfast items such as Toast, bacon, eggs, waffles and a glass of milk as well as water, onto the bed.
Emily who was busy creating sheet angels, suddenly flinched, her cute little nose twitching.
Like a cute little mouse, she got up on all fours and crawled towards the wonderful offering, a cute little drool on her face while her big adorable eyes took in the sight of the spread before her.
’ She’s far more adorable than I’d hopped.’
Lucuis muffled a laugh at the sight.
Emily sat down before the tray, she then clasped her hands together and prayed.
’ Oh?’ to this Lucuis was intrigued because he remembered reading in a book that supernaturals sometimes didn’t pray at all since they detested humans and refused to worship the same god as them, sometimes even blaming those very gods for their current position in the world.
’ Come to think of it, I’ve never once seen Su praying before, have I?’ Lucuis wondered to himself.
" Emily dear, might I ask something." Lucuis gently sat down next to her after she’d finished praying.
Emily who was just about to grab a fresh piece of bacon paused, retracting her hand before turning to face the man next to her.
" Umm... Ok." She said in a soft curious voice.
" Just now, you were praying, were you not?" Lucuis revealed his curiosity.
" Yes?" The little one nodded her head lightly, a light trace of worry on her face, while her cute mouse ears dropped slightly like a sorry dog.
" There’s no need to be worried. I’m not angry with you." Lucuis lightly ruffled her hair with a smile on his face.
Seeing this, Emily’s worries quickly vanished, for a moment there, she thought she might’ve done something to displease this man. Even while he’d shown her nothing but kindness since they’d met, she still felt a tad cautious of him after all the tales she’d heard from Su.
Of course Lucuis was aware, but alas, what could he do if not try to gradually make amends? It was far harder to cover up ones past than to just ignore them.
" Might I ask to whom?" Lucuis asked, this was his main reason for intrigue. He believed that perhaps, if there was some god of supernaturals, he might be able to ask for their help when dealing with matters related to his grimore. If that really were the case, it would help him cover more ground than he already had.
" I-I don’t know..." The little one mumbled in a voice close to a whisper, her fingers intertwining together.
" Huh?" This reply of hers left him quite confused. " I don’t understand."
" ...mommy told me that if I prayed for something hard enough, it’ll eventually happen."
" But you don’t exactly know to whom?" He asked with a raised brow.
" Uhh huh" Emily nodded her head.
Lucuis turned silent, a part of him wanted to believe her while another part felt as if she was hiding something from him.
" Alright then, I’m glad you told me at least." Lucuis eventually said, seeing his soft smile, Emily suddenly looked quite relieved. For a moment there, she thought he wouldn’t have believed her.
’ A child who knows not of who she’s praying to... That isn’t troubling at all, right?’
" Now come here, let daddy feed you." Lucuis patted his lap.
Emily stared at him silently for awhile before shaking her head strongly.
" What?" Lucuis was caught of guard by her strong refusal.
