"It will be a good one, I promise not to let me go to the hospital so I can go back early." Her mother said before she picked up her bag and left.

Alice was about to leave her mother’s room and she received a message.

[I missed you.]

It was a message from her boyfriend. Her current boyfriend, Amila, was not the kind of girl who would settle for one man. She believed that she still hadn’t met her true love and until that time, She liked to have fun.

[Let’s meet at your company, An hour from now.] Alice replied.

Walking towards her room, Alice took a quick shower and prepared herself.

"Good morning, Amila." Nanny was preparing the table for breakfast.

"Good morning." Alice said as she picked up an apple to eat.

"I will be back in two hours, Send me a message." Alice said before she left the mansion.

Walking towards her car and got inside it driving towards her boyfriend’s company.

Parking the car away from the company, Alice wore her sunglasses and walked towards the company. Her boyfriend’s assistant was already waiting downstairs.

"Mr. Liam, Is waiting for you in his office." The assistant said.

Once they entered the elevator, Alice took off her glasses. When she got out of the elevator she walked towards Liam’s office.

Opening the door, Alice entered the office and was surprised by what she saw. The office was decorated and big happy birthday words were written on the wall.

Alice was shocked but she was touched.

"Happy birthday, Alice, I know it’s not much, But it will do." Liam said as he approached her.

"It’s perfect." Alice said as she turned to look at him."So what my gift will be?" She asked, walking towards him.

Liam laughed as he placed his hands on her waist and she circled her arms around his neck.

"I have two gifts, One is sexual." Liam said as he spanked her bottom, earning a gasp from her."And the other will arrive at the party." He added as his hand cupped her bottom.

Biting her lower lips, Amila pecked his lips.

"I have less than two hours." Amila whispered against his lips.

Once the word left her lips she was picked and placed on the desk table.

An hour later, The couple finally decided to let go of each other after two rounds of passionate lovemaking.

"Are you leaving?" Liam asked, kissing her bareback.

"Hmm, I need to go and check on the preparations." Alice said as she turned around in his arms, They were both laying down on the couch.

"Hmm, I will miss it." Liam said with sadness in his tone.

Alice ran her fingers through his hair and said.

"I will come and see you tomorrow, Plus we had a good time together today, Didn’t we?" She said, placing her hand on his bare chest, rubbing it gently up and down.

"Are you trying to make me hard again?" Liam whispered in her ear with a hoarse voice.

"Well, You have to wait until tomorrow." Alice

said and started giggling.

After Alice left, Liam went to take a shower with his thoughts full of her. He knew that Alice wasn’t the type to fall in love and he was too, But something about this girl made him feel different. It started as a casual relationship but now he is finding it hard to let go.

By the time Alice was back to the mansion, it was still early, No one noticed her absence, She went straight to her bathroom and took a quick shower before she came downstairs to check on the preparations.

"My lady, We are almost finished, Just another hour." The maid informed her.

"Good, If you need anything I’m in the Petal room." Alice said before she made her way upstairs again.

Knocking on the Petal room, Alice entered, She found her sitting on the bed combing her hair.

"Did you like the dress?" Alice asked to see the dress that her mom bought Petal as a gift placed on the bed already.

"Yes, It’s beautiful." Petal replied signaling."Where have you been? I went to your room but I couldn’t find you?" She asked.

Alice’s face turned red remembering the events that happened in the morning inside Liam’s office.

"I went out to bring my dress, It wasn’t ready until today morning." She replied lying.

Nodding her head, Petal continued to comb her hair.

In the evening.

After helping Alice to prepare herself, Petal got dressed. Looking at herself in the mirror she was thinking about whether she should let her hair down or tie it up but she decided to let it down. Putting on her shoes, She left her room.

Petal didn’t go downstairs immediately. She looked at the people down from where she was standing. She saw Alice greeting her guests with a big smile on her face.

"Aren’t you coming downstairs?" Petal heard Lana’s voice and she turned around to look at her.

"I will." Petal replied signaling.

"You look beautiful, The dress color is good on you, Now I’m afraid that the big wolves will try to take advantage of you tonight." Lana joked and noticed how the girl blushed.

"Stay close to me and Alice tonight." Lana advised her as they made their way downstairs.

"Ah, She finally came, This is my friend that I was telling you about." Alice said as she walked towards Petal dragging her towards her friend.

Petal wanted to stop her, But it was too late. She was standing right in front of them.

"This is Jackson and Benjamin, This is Petal." Alice introduces them. "Both of them are studying the ASL language. They wanted to meet you." She added.

Petal smiled weekly at the two boys not knowing what she should do.

"If I may say, Miss Patel, You look so beautiful." Jackson said, scratching his hand.

"Thank you." Petal replied, signaling.

"She is a cute one, I guess this one is an innocent soul, Unlike you Alice." It was Benjamin who spoke this time.

Alice laughed out loud hearing his words.

"Well, She is, So be easy on her boys." Alice said.

Petal somehow felt uncomfortable and she turned to look at the other said, She noticed that Noah was still not there.

"Would you like some drinks?" She heard one of the two boys say and she turned to look at him, It was Jackson.

"No." Petal replied, looking at him.

She wasn’t a fool, It was clear that these two are player boys and they’re looking at her as their new toy.

Issac and Ethan arrived at the party and immediately, Alice’s girlfriends circled them to get their chance to say hi.

Petal watched as Ethan pulled himself away from the crowd and walked towards Alice who was greeting some of her friends that just arrived. She watched as he hugged and placed a kiss on her forehead and handed her her gift.

The sight made Petal smile. Despite his cold nature towards everyone, He seemed to be close to his family.

Her eyes shifted back to look at Issac who was surrounded by girls. Unlike Ethan, Issac welcomed all the attention that he got from the females.

Petal who was sipping on her drink, heard Jackson and Benjamin say something about her.

"We can put a light drug in her drink and we will take her with us and spend the night with her." He said.

Petal’s eyes widened but she didn’t say anything and continued to listen to them. Did they think that she could hear them? They were even talking out loud, not even bothered to keep their voices down.

"Yes, It will be a good night, I mean look at her, She was made for s**." Benjamin agreed with him.

Hearing this, Petal had her enough, She walked from there leaving them standing.

Placing her drink on the table, She left the mansion walking towards the ground to have some fresh air.

Tonight she learned a new lesson in life, People like her can’t survive in this world without taking extra care of themselves, If she hadn’t done the surgery, She wouldn’t be able to hear what they said and she might have a drink that cup of joe and only God knows what could have happened to her.

She came to realize that she doesn’t know anything about this world and she still has a long way to learn. It is scary but this is the real-life that she was newly experiencing.

Inside the mansion, Issac was about to get another drink for him and Ethan when he saw Petal standing outside alone.

"You can go." He heard Ethan say.

Issac turned to look at his brother before he walked towards her.
