Two days had passed since the accident. Petal was doing well. Lana was cleaning her wound personally two times a day and bandaging it, Although she was busy she always made time for her.

Today was the first day of the Petal entry exams. If she passed these exams with high grades she would be able to enroll in this school.

Sitting inside the classroom, Petal focused on the questions sheet in front of her. It is a long set of questions, She noticed as she flipped through the pages, Picking up her pin, She started to answer the questions one by one.

In this place, There is a lot of students with disabilities. Some like her condition and some with different kinds of disabilities. Here Petal feels more comfortable. There are people like her who understand and feel the way she feels. It makes it easier and more comfortable.

She hoped that she would pass these exams with high grades. She wanted to learn how to play the violin and she wanted to make her newly found dream come true.

After two hours, Petal and the rest of the students handed their exams papers and left the classroom.

Once she was out, Petal noticed something, Most of the students drive their own cars, Unlike her who has to be picked up every time, Come to think about it, She can’t let Noah drop her here every day, She is twenty-one years old, She is old enough to drive a car and get a driving license and she has the money to buy one, So what is stopping here, She thought to herself.

Petal smiled to herself at the idea of her owning a car. Lately, she has been making a lot of decisions regarding her personal life and she likes the feeling of it.

One the way back, Petal told Ethan about her wish to buy a car, The latter didn’t object but when she told him this, He was sad, He was planning to use the little time that he spends with her in the car to let her get to know him better and he gets to know her to better too, But his plan failed when she asked him to help her learn how to drive and by a car.

Lately, he has been busy with the company work and he barely could see her. Only on weekends, he can spend some time with her and to him, it wasn’t enough. He needs to reschedule his work schedule so he could be with her more.

Petal wasn’t a fool, She saw how Noah was bothered by the fact that she asked him to help her learn driving, But this was for her, She needs to learn how to count only on herself and be an independent person, She can’t live there for the rest of her life, Soon she has to buy her own house, These things are important for her, Before she didn’t have a life but now she needs to build one for herself.

The exam days had passed quickly and now Petal was waiting for the results. Looking outside the window, She noticed that the snow had started to fill. It wasn’t heavy, But it was enough to be noticed. Winter has started to enter and it’s not her favorite session.

"You hate winter." Alice who was standing beside her said as she handed her a warm teacup.

"I hate it." Petal replied signaling before she took the teacup from Alice.

Taking a sip from her tea, Alice said.

"Me too, It reminds me of the day I lost my father. It was the hardest day in my life."

Petal turned to look at Alice, Seeing the tears in her eyes, She rubbed her arm gently, trying to comfort her. It was the first time she saw the emotional side Alice. She always smiles and has a happy vibe, But it seems that her bright smile is hiding the pain she feels.

"Why do you hate it?" Alice asked and Petal smiled, A smile full of bitterness.

"For many reasons." Petal replied, signaling.

"Let’s talk about something else." Alice said." What about you and now, Any progress, Maybe a kiss?" She asked, earning a glare from Petal.

"You don’t like him, I noticed that," Alice stated and heard Petal sighed.

She was right, What a disappointment her cousin will receive.

"You know he is head over heels for you, You took a long time to think about refusing him." Alice pointed.

Alice’s words were like salt being rubbed on a wound to Petal. She was right, She took a long time to refuse.

"You are right, But it wasn’t intentional." Petal replied, signaling.

"I know, But this is a serious matter, Petal. Give him time, Maybe he can change your mind and who knows, You might fall in love with him." Alice said, trying to convince her.

Petal didn’t reply to her words and siped on her tea silently.

"Do you perhaps like someone else? Maybe before you come here?" Alice asked.

"No." She replied and didn’t know why she felt as if she was lying to her.

Did she?.

But she truly doesn’t have any feelings for any? Or does she?.

"Then, Think about what I said. Give him a chance, Noah is a good person." Alice said, smiling at her.

Outside the room, Noha who had come to visit Petal overheard the conversation. For a moment he was shocked. All this time, He thought that Petal had started to like him.

Noah took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. He should go for now. He needs to think this over with himself.

Is she using him to get revenge on his family, His cousin Ethan? He wondered.

No, Petal is too pure and good to do that, She would never do something like this, Noah thought to himself.

He quietly left without anyone noticing and he was glad that no one saw him.

Issac, who was sitting in the dark living room, saw his cousin walk upstairs only to come down after a few minutes.

"Did he want to kiss and she slapped him and kicked him out of the room?" Issac thought out loud and laughed to himself.

Taking out his phone, He taxed Ethan and told him what happened and Ethan replied.

[ Go to sleep instead of watching other people.]

"Hmmm, Playing hard huh, Let’s see how long you will keep pretending," Issac said as he walked upstairs towards his room.

In the guest house, Ethan placed his phone on the nightstand and turned off the lights to sleep, But he couldn’t.

Why would Noah leave that fast when he just arrived? Did something happen between them?

He was curious to know but he won’t show it to anyone, even his brother.

He smiled to himself like a fool and closed his eyes to sleep, He didn’t know

The next morning.

Petal woke up startled by Alice who entered the room and jumped on her bed shaking her body to wake up.

Opening her eyes she looked at Alice who was smiling at her, Petal sat up and picked her hearing aids, and put them on.

"What’s going on?" Petal asked, confused.

Alice moved closer to her and said.

"Today is my birthday, I didn’t tell you yesterday because I know you will refuse. The preparations have already started, Your dress is ready, You can’t say no, You don’t have school today." Alice said everything fast.

Petal blinked a few times, This was too much information for a person who just woke to take.

Nodding her head, Petal watched as Alice smiled widely and winked at her.

"My mother brought a very sexy dress, She has a good taste in clothes." Alice said, winking at Petal before she left the room.

Shaking her head hopelessly, Petal went back to sleep.

It was only six in the morning.

"She said yes." Alice said to her mother who was preparing herself for the hospital.

"That’s good, I thought that she would refuse." Lana said, picking up her coat.

Alice giggled and said.

"I made sure that she can’t refuse."

"0I know I can’t count on my baby girl." Lana said, kissing her daughter’s cheeks.

"Now since I did what you asked, I hope my gift is a good one." Alice said, staring at her mother.

"It will be a good one, I promise not to let me go to the hospital so I can go back early." Her mother said before she picked up her bag and left.

Alice was about to leave her mother’s room and she received a message.

[I missed you.]

It was a message from her boyfriend. Her current boyfriend, Amila, was not the kind of girl who would settle for one man. She believed that she still hadn’t met her true love and until that time, She liked to have fun.
