Isekaied Into An Eroge, Time To Have Fun!-Chapter 234: A Bit Daring
It was in the middle of my Combat Class when yet another event happened that shook things up; it was merely a message of what had happened about an hour ago, yet it was more than enough to get most of us... on edge.
Bo’Katari was pulled to the side by the other Professor who rushed into the training grounds, making her way straight to the shouting Orc and trying desperately to not make too much of a scene... which was impossible since we were all staring at them...
Just her posture alone made it clear she was delivering some not so good news, but when she kept waving her arms at us and said things that made the Orc furrow her brow, we all stopped what we were doing and just... waited. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
When she was finished she rushed out of our class and towards another, leaving our Professor to stand by the wall for a few moments as she mulled over the information given to her on her own before she walked back up to us.
"There has been... a development. The good news is your peer was rescued. She’s... safe now. Relatively unharmed physically. The reason she was able to be rescued is thanks to a group of Cultists attempting to attack the city.
They tried to breach the barriers only to set up a ’trap’ when they realized they couldn’t. The Guard and the Sinner went on pursuit immediately, found one of their bases and managed to rescue your peer. That’s the gist of it, apparently... All of which happened a little over an hour ago..."
Taking a breath and staring at the ground for a few moments, Bo’Katari thought on it before clapping her hands together and shouting at us to get back to it, though when we only began to do basic drills she just growled softly as she started roaming around.
She didn’t force us into the spars we were meant to be doing, nor did she seem to be nitpicking everything as much as she normally did, but that didn’t mean we were free to talk as we pleased and just waste this class away.
Both Lu’Shaki and Kha’Miero were beside me, going through the normal routine they had developed and speaking quietly as we kept to ourselves, and only a few times did our Professor come around to check in on us.
I knew things were ’bad’ since the older Orc didn’t try and grope me or make any lewd comments during the middle of class, so I looked to my two friends and murmured "She only said unharmed physically..."
Lu’Shaki nodded while Kha’Miero quietly replied "Depending on the Cult, she could have been... y’know... but also there’s a good chance they were trying to indoctrinate her. Using drugs and illusory magic to mess with her mind, get her to either spill secrets or switch over to their ’side’."
The idea of what she might have gone through made me shiver, and it certainly added more fuel to the fire inside of me to get stronger; the closest I had ever been to someone forcing themselves onto me was Taji, and yet somehow I had ’lucked’ out that the Hyenakin was so twisted that she somehow looped back around to yearning for consent.
Our classmate might not have been as lucky as I had been, and that left a bitter taste in my mouth that I never wanted to personally taste; for a few moments we were all silent, before Lu’Shaki said "I hope they have her sealed away, at least for a few days. That or the Sinner cleanses her first. Anyone touched by a Demon... that’s not a risk I would want to take."
That made me raise a brow at them since not even a few days ago I had been ’touched’ by something worse, though all that did was cause the Orc to repeat "The Sinner cleansing her would absolve her of any ’ill will’ she might carry with her. If she hasn’t been cleansed, they need to seal her away for her own safety as well as our own."
"These Cults can be rather insidious, can’t they..? It makes you wonder if this was fully planned out, if it has simply become a happy coincidence for them, or..? Having us more worried about this classmate instead of being concerned about them attempting a frontal assault on Mythia..."
I nodded in agreement and took up the practice sword, getting into the opening stance so that I could begin the techniques that Bo’Katari had ordered us to memorize and perfect as soon as possible.
"That is certainly bold, but it also further raises questions about them. Was it done because they are plotting something, or was it zeal guiding them into something idiotic? I also just can’t help but be concerned about the fact that they seemed to let us find her and their base... and if it is only one of many, that begs the question of just how many there are?"
My two friends shrugged at that and grabbed their own blades a moment later, joining me in practice as we continued to train even after learning this new information; everyone else in the class seemed as ’preoccupied’ as we were, so nothing really got done when compared to our prior classes, but that was alright.
The halls were abuzz with all sorts of theories, speculation and sometimes a little bit of hysteria as the more ’untested’ and frightened population of the Academy got further riled up by the news; technically I fell into that category as well, though having some knowledge of the world thanks to gaming in it was a bit... ’soothing’ for me.
Knowing that the Sinner had an absurdly high critical hit ratio with weapons that were perfectly forged to have stupidly high critical hit multipliers definitely helped keep me calm, since she was made to just be an absurd one shot killing machine... that looked utterly gorgeous the entire time she decimated her enemies...
So I was just a little calmer than my peers, but that wasn’t to say I was unbothered by this either; I was certainly wigged out and nervous, but it was hard to remain nervous when you were being railed in an alcove by two hung studs, so... y’know...
