Isekaied Into An Eroge, Time To Have Fun!-Chapter 121: ’Research’

The light within the Grading Sphere slowly faded away as I removed my hands, returning it to its mirroresque luster that honestly was quite beautiful on its own; if I owned something like this I wouldn’t mind displaying it somewhere in my room as a centerpiece.

That aside, the functionality of it was awesome too, and watching the Dogkin place her hands on either side before pushing some of her own mana into it to light it up, causing it to instantly turn bright red.

Then it was orange, and slowly it lightened up even more until it was yellow, though the center of the Grading Sphere was still orange, meaning she wasn’t completely yellow grade just yet but was close enough.

Keeping her hands there and continuing to push some more mana inside, she tried to get rid of that orange center as best she could but it wasn’t budging, so after a few moments she let out a low sigh and pulled herself away, allowing the light to fade away again.

"Almost a complete yellow grade! That’s impressive Jacklyn! Really impressive! I think that would put you well and above most people here at the Academy for their first year!"

My praised made the Dogkin blush and squirm a little, and when Professor Hollishire chimed in to say "She is right, dear. A yellow grade is quite impressive, especially for a first year." her blush only deepened.

Helping her out of something that was making her uncomfortable - albeit in a ’good’ way - I reminded her of what we were trying to do here, so after a few moments of consideration and a look at the notebook, she closed her eyes and tried to focus.

Meditation was a simple yet refreshing thing to do, so after making sure she had entered that state I joined her and began to focus myself inwards, observing and guiding my mana around my body and into each hub.

It was a process that didn’t require a large amount of thinking or even action since mana flowed naturally, meaning this was more about relaxation than anything else, at least to me; letting it flow and feeding my hubs, I just enjoyed the moments of peace before finally opening my eyes and coming back to the land of the conscious.

Whether it was only a few moments or actually a few minutes was unknown, but when I tested myself on the Grading Sphere again I noticed... not much; there was certainly a hint of a change to the color, but that could have also been my eyes readjusting to being open again or even me misremembering just how the Grading Sphere looked before...

Either way I was hopeful it might change again, so after watching Jacklyn do it for a second time we went back into meditation, this time for a little longer in hopes of seeing a more noticeable change...

I don’t think we would see one but it was worth a shot, and at the very least we were getting some ’work’ done for ourselves, which I was likely not going to have done tonight so it was actually quite nice.

Too much on the mind and too little time for me to consider something like this regularly, even though I knew it to be extremely beneficial; even in the game I rarely meditated since it ate away at the precious few ’turns’ in the day you had, and I never thought the benefit was larger than whatever you could get from something else.

But for right now the meditation was nice, and it was a way to get over what had just happened to us... and after another three rounds of meditation we finally had enough data to support the hypothesis of small, gradual improvements via meditation.

It was enough for us to call it a night, and with the encounter with those three Wolves still on the mind I was happy to leave it at this, though when we prepared to exit the classroom Jacklyn turned towards me and grabbed my sleeve, stopping me from opening the door.

"N-Natalie, could you... w-walk me to my dorm..? Please..?"

Having the cute Dogkin clinging to my arm like this was enough to get me jolted awake, and although it made me feel a little guilty and disgusting I felt a stirring in my loins as I stared into her eyes, the watery sheen turning me on more than it should have.

"Yeah, of course... Lead the way and I’ll be right beside you."

The relief had her relax immediately, and after bidding farewell to our beautiful Professor we returned to the populated hallways and started cautiously making our way towards the dorms; sometimes I needed to grab ahold of Jacklyn’s wrist to keep us together, and sometimes I had to walk right behind her because of the space.

Whenever I touched her she stiffened a little, and whenever I was behind her I couldn’t help but take in how fluffy her tail was or how it swished side to side randomly, adding a bit of emphasis to her shapely hips.

She wasn’t insanely curvy like some of the women in the hallway were, but the fluffy tail plus her lithe frame was insanely seductive to me right now... even though I knew she was currently a nervous wreck and thought of me as safe.

That was why I felt disgusted, yet it was a guilty pleasure to stare at her ass whenever I was behind her or enjoy the warmth of her skin against mine, and considering she never attempted to get away from me...

That didn’t make it okay though, so I never escalated it past that and definitely wasn’t even planning on it, yet the moment we reached her dorm the Dogkin turned towards me with a blush as she leaned against it.

"T-Thank you, Natalie, and... um, since it is so late, and since we had to... y’know... d-do you want to come inside and have tea..? I made muffins this morning as well, so..!"

The odd burst of enthusiasm as she asked that made me tingly, both with how adorable she was and with the hope that she might want to thank me in another way... so of course I accepted her invitation and entered her dorm.
