With that she began to walk me further into the Dungeon, not caring that she had made me flustered nor caring that I was now more focused on how handsome she looked in armor, which was making me want her to do as she ’threatened’.
When we began to explore another, somewhat larger cavern my arousal had barely faded, though the moment a group of three Spirits drifted nearby I was forced out of my heated mind and instead had to focus on them, which was why I was here to begin with.
They weren’t rushing towards us immediately, so Kha’Miero quietly suggested that I open up with a barrage of quick arrows before preparing to finish off whatever remained, all while also reminding me to take a look around and get a feel for the environment and potential next set of enemies.
The cavern was larger and just as cluttered with those crystals as before, but now we were also seeing a large amount of other things like those stalagmites and some boulders, as well as a single shrub that looked very out of place.
Meanwhile there were easily a dozen Spirits floating around of all kinds of elements, with one immediately catching my eye; it had a purple aura that signified a Lightning affinity while also being a bit larger than the others.
Thankfully it was on the other side of the cavern so I had ample time to prepare for that more challenging fight; instead of worrying about it right now I was more focused on the three Spirits in front, specifically the Water Spirit.
Targeting that one in particular with a more potent Fire Arrow for my opener was something that gave me the ability to ’ignore’ the resistance it had against my magic since I was just going to overwhelm it before it could react.
Letting that loose after taking an additional moment to aim properly, I began to nock the next arrow and took aim at the Earth Spirit beside it, which had let out a shriek as it watched its peer get eviscerated.
Silencing that Spirit as well I was then summoning the Flame Lash to yank the final one over, chaining the attacks into one another and allowing me to overwhelm the group before the fight even started.
I plunged the dagger into the chest of the final Spirit, ignoring the crunch of its bones and the gargled cry it let out as I instead looked around for the next group, which wasn’t that far and sadly wasn’t unaware of my presence.
I had enough time to nock another Fire Arrow so that I could drop one of the two, but the second got far too close for me to even attempt to summon the Flame Lash, leaving me with just my dagger to deal with a rocky doll that was trying to punch holes in me with its sharpened fists.
