Chapter 759: Chapter 759: Next Time We Pass Through The Human Realm_1

However, a closer inspection revealed that although the injuries on the bodyโ€™s surface hadnโ€™t healed, the broken meridians within had mostly reconnected. ๐š๐•ฃ๐ž๐—ฒ๐ฐ๐•–๐›๐ง๐• ๐•ง๐šŽ๐š•.๐œ๐š˜๐—บ

"Is it really working?" Xu Laiโ€™s pupils constricted.

Baize was also surprised but didnโ€™t show excessive joy, instead pouring cold water on the situation. "Physical injuries are not difficult to heal," she said, "but the Primordial Spirit is the real challenge."

"Thatโ€™s right." Xu Lai nodded. If the Primordial Spirit couldnโ€™t be restored, then even a perfectly healed body would be nothing more than an empty shell. It would be just like the Emperorโ€™s Corpses submerged in the Samsara Sea, nothing but unconscious puppets.

It was deeply ironic that the Great Emperors who once dominated the Universe and suppressed the Immortal Domain had now become โ€™Magical Treasuresโ€™ in the hands of a younger generation. Thankfully, with a single, clean strike of his sword, Xu Lai had severed the connection the Celestial Clan girl had created between the three Emperorโ€™s Corpses with her Bell. Otherwise, those three Emperorโ€™s Corpses, now halted in Heaven Beyond Heaven, might not have even met a dignified end.

The Celestial Clan girl had not only found the remains of the Blood Demon Emperor but had also managed to bring two other Emperorโ€™s Corpses out from the Samsara Sea. It was truly astonishing. One had to remember that when Great Emperors approached the end of their lives, they entered forbidden places like the Samsara Sea or the Nine Kingsโ€™ Palace with the desperate obsession of attaining a second life. Furthermore, due to the mysterious laws within the Samsara Sea, their corpses would become its guardians, attacking any who dared intrude. To โ€™bringโ€™ two Emperorโ€™s Corpses out of such a forbidden land was considered an absolute fantasy by any great power in the Immortal Domain. And yet, the Celestial Clan had done it.

Thinking of the Celestial Clan girl, still comatose and left behind in the Heavenly Court, Xu Lai fell into deep thought.

"The Supreme Emperor?" Baize called out softly.

"Itโ€™s nothing." Xu Lai returned to his senses. "Continue."

Baize nodded, fewer than four White Crane Elixirs left in her hand. She pondered for a moment before feeding all the remaining elixirs to the female giant. The reason she didnโ€™t awaken the male giant, Gu Yan, first was for the sake of โ€™trial and errorโ€™. Baize had learned from The Supreme Emperor that the Demon Sword Wuzheng was one of the keys to entering the Nine Kingsโ€™ Palace, and Wuzheng was Gu Yanโ€™s sword. Therefore, the giant Gu Yan was far more important than the female giant. If it was possible to awaken both of them, that would be ideal. But if only one could be awakened... then it would undoubtedly have to be Gu Yan.

Under the current circumstances, reviving Gu Yan would yield the greatest benefit.

As all the White Crane Elixirs melted in the female giantโ€™s mouth, a terrifying poisonous gas instantly spread for a million miles. Xu Lai snorted coldly. A safety zone of one hundred zhang formed around him, but it was continuously being compressed. Ninety zhang, eighty, seventy... In less than a single breath, the barrier had shrunk considerably.

Baize glanced at Xu Lai. "The Supreme Emperor, including the previous ones, she has now consumed six White Crane Elixirs in total."

The Second Divine Generalโ€™s implication was clear: there was no need for The Supreme Emperor to contend with the poisonous pill. Or rather, to contend across the ages with the White Crane Great Emperor who had first concocted it.

Xu Lai felt a wave of listlessness and left the small barrier with Baize, planning to re-enter only after the poisonous fog had completely dissipated.

"The White Crane Elixirs concocted by the Tenth Divine General might not contain the Essence Blood of the White Crane Great Emperor, but they do have the leaves of the Snowflower mixed in..." Baizeโ€™s eyes, which seemed to hold the sun, moon, and stars, shimmered with a captivating light. "The toxicity is even stronger. Iโ€™m afraid weโ€™ll have to wait at least a month before we can go back in."

As they flew through the Heavenly Courtโ€™s treasury, Divine General Baize, always half a step behind Xu Lai, continuously deduced the various possibilities.

"One month," Xu Lai murmured, his gaze flickering. In the past, a monthโ€”or even a year, a decade, a centuryโ€”was but the blink of an eye. Now, however, his mind was constantly preoccupied with his wife, his daughter, and their second child who was soon to be born.

"Please return, The Supreme Emperor," Baize said. "I will stand guard here. If there is any progress, I will inform you at once."

Xu Lai glanced back. The small barrier, shrouded in poisonous mist, completely blocked all Divine Sense. Inside, chaos churned and the natural laws had shattered, making it impossible to see anything. Staying here any longer would be a complete waste of time.

Xu Lai nodded. "Thank you for your hard work, Divine General Bai."

With that, Xu Lai transformed into a streak of light and departed. He didnโ€™t return to Earth but instead headed for the Sect Gate of the Old Heavenly Court.

Yearโ€™s Day was fast approaching. In Hua Country back on Earth, this festival was as important as the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The mountains were still covered in plum trees. The fruit was ripe, and at the foot of the mountain, a middle-aged man named Wang Bainian and his wife, Wang He, were picking plums. Smiles graced both their faces. Their daughter had joined an Immortal Gate, and this yearโ€™s harvest was bountiful; life was getting better and better.

Xu Lai stopped flying and landed at the foot of the mountain. The Sect Gate had clearly been repaired by his Senior Sister. Although it was covered in thick moss and bore the marks of time, it was no longer the dilapidated ruin it once was; it had been made whole again. The same was true of the other buildings.

As Xu Lai walked on, his mind gradually emptied. He felt as if he had returned to a hundred thousand years ago, a time when his Master and two Senior Brothers were still alive, when he and his Senior Sister were still young, when everything was so wonderfully simple.

A memory surfaced. "You three are taking the fall for me this time, and I wonโ€™t forget it. Quick, have some water before my father notices."

"Senior Sister..." Xu Lai couldnโ€™t help but murmur.

Suddenly, a teasing voice reached his ears. "Little Junior Brother, itโ€™s one thing to daydream, but to be dreaming of me?"

The vision before his eyes shattered. The joyful laughter from the back of the mountain faded, leaving only the endless plum trees. Before he knew it, his Senior Sister, Yu Guiwan, clad in a purple dress, was standing ten zhang away, smiling at him.

"Senior Sister." Xu Lai greeted her with a bow.

Yu Guiwan asked, "Shouldnโ€™t you be on Earth with Ruan Tang and Yiyi? What brings you to the Heavenly Court?"

"Yearโ€™s Day is coming, and I found myself missing you, Master, and my two Senior Brothers."

"What a coincidence. I dreamed of Father just last night." Yu Guiwan gave a self-deprecating smile. "He scolded me for meeting with you, saying it would needlessly add to your karma."

"Senior Sister." Xu Lai changed the subject with a light chuckle. "Would you like some grapes?"

"I would." Yu Guiwan sat on a swing, her legs dangling and swaying gently beneath her skirt.

Xu Lai sat on the ground with a plate before him. He began peeling grapes, and each time he had peeled ten, he would get up and bring them to his Senior Sister.

Yu Guiwan declared triumphantly, "What does the Emperor Realm matter? Youโ€™re still my Little Junior Brother, peeling grapes for the grand Senior Sister of the Heavenly Court!"

"Senior Sisterโ€™s immortal arts are matchless, her power unrivaled in the Immortal Domain! Qingfeng is in awe!"

"Ahem, now youโ€™re laying it on a bit thick." The two of them met each otherโ€™s gaze and laughed softly.

As their laughter subsided, Yu Guiwanโ€™s expression turned serious. "Those elixirs you had Shan Baiwan give me... Iโ€™ve taken them all. They should extend my life by another three to five thousand years."

"Good."

"Donโ€™t waste any more on me next time."

Xu Lai remained silent.

"Little Junior Brother, Iโ€™m talking to you. Donโ€™t waste any more elixirs on me. Itโ€™s not worth it."

"Because of you, Senior Sister, the Heavenly Court is worth it. The mortal world is worth it."

Xu Lai finished peeling the last grape. Instead of placing it on the plate, he popped it into his own mouth. "Qingfeng wouldnโ€™t want another lifetime in the mortal world," he said softly, "if it were a world without Yu Guiwan."

His Senior Sisterโ€™s eyebrows shot up in mock anger, and her playful reprimand echoed across the back of the mountain. "You stole my grape!"
