Chapter 1441: Sharing the job

"When two black holes collide and merge, their combined mass can lead to the formation of a larger black hole. However, during the merger process, a significant amount of energy is released in the form of gravitational waves. In certain cases, this energy can be enough to disrupt or alter the trajectory of the resulting black hole, potentially preventing it from growing further." Sakaki added. "In theory, it might be possible to disrupt or destabilize a black hole by injecting a significant amount of energy into its vicinity. This could potentially disrupt the black hole’s gravitational grip on surrounding matter or even cause it to lose mass through processes such as Hawking radiation, although such methods remain speculative and highly theoretical."

"Man... this is just plain insanity," Terra said. "I knew that the fights from now on wouldn’t be easy, but..."

"What is the plan, Rain?" Seara asked.

"We will attack as planned; a black hole that needs to be controlled should consume a lot of energy; that should be one of the demerits," Rain said. "I should be able to protect myself from its immense power and return once the machine god is defeated."

"Are you planning to fight alone again?" Esmeralda asked.

"We will fight together; the preparations that I did on the other planets will help you guys and, therefore, will help me as well; just wait and see," Rain said. "I also have the lords that I can summon to give me a hand so I won’t be alone. Besides, if you guys finish the enemies as soon as possible, you can just return to the pocket dimension, and then I will connect the portal to the other side of the black hole."

Although Rain couldn’t see that, everyone looked at each other in confusion and apprehension. They had done a lot of crazy things lately, but that was by far the most insane of them. There was no telling if Rain could survive crossing the black hole, but he was the one who had the best chance.

Regardless, Rain decided to take some time checking the planets hidden nearby that had the dark sentinels. So far, they haven’t found anything else that Hilo could use to fight, so keeping the dark sentinels busy will improve their chances drastically.

Finding all the planets that had them took three days... and considering their numbers... they would have to split their one hundred thousand warriors into two hundred groups. Keeping them busy will help Rain’s odds, but the warrior’s odds will be pretty low, considering that each one of them will have to kill at least one thousand of them.

Fortunately, everyone had plenty of time to come up with plans... they also had experience dealing with the dark sentinels, so they wouldn’t go in totally blind.

"Ugh... I don’t like this," Terra said after she groaned in annoyance. "Why do you have to go alone in these kinds of situations?"

"Remember the basics of war, split and conquer," Rain said. "The worst thing that can happen in this kind of situation is to head in and ignore everyone else and then end up surrounded by an army many times larger. As long as we endure and take the head of the targets or fry his circuits in this case, the victory will be ours. Anyway, make good use of my trick in order to come and help me as soon as possible."

"Don’t do anything insane until we get there," Seara said. "Or you can do that. You will have to choose between the enemy’s wrath and ours."

"That is easy to choose," Rain shrugged. "Anyway, it is time to start the operation. We have already wasted too much time."

"We will come to help fast, just hang in there," Roan said.

Everyone began to enter the pocket dimension, and then Rain eventually began to Teleport toward the place that was sucking the mana on the surroundings. Little by little, his instincts began to warn him of the danger that was ahead and soon enough, he began to feel a powerful pull.

The skill Void Detection leveled up.

The void path leveled up.

The skill Void Detection leveled up.

The void path leveled up.

...

When things started to get hard, Rain used Space Shielding, and soon, he felt the gravitational pull weakening. Still, his mana was decreasing quite fast. When he tried to absorb some of the energy, Energy Absorption failed since the level of the difference in the power of the skills was that high. Then, Rain was unable to fight the gravitational pull.

"I will open the holes to the locations. Soon, I will enter the black hole, and I won’t be able to help you guys for a while," Rain said.

"All right, be careful out there," Terra said.

In the blink of an eye, the pocket dimension was emptied, and only Rain’s underlings were there. They knew that they could be forced to fight one of the machine gods, so they were quite tense... it was the first time that they would have such a chance, after all.

All of a sudden, Rain felt a massive pressure around his body, and then his mana began to drop at insane speeds. Before the pressure could completely destroy his body, Rain used light speed and then moved ahead faster but while keeping himself under control. Rain suddenly saw all the light surrounding him disappearing, and then he began to cross the black hole.

While Rain was crossing the black hole, everyone else had arrived at their destination, and then the dark sentinels began to move all in unison... even before they could assume their fighting stances, they pointed their weapons at the group and then prepared themselves to fire.

The group raised their weapons to block those attacks... Terra furrowed her eyebrows when a barrage of dark bullets flew toward them. Those were the void bullets, and they could practically pass through anything as long as they had enough energy.
