In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]-Chapter 187: First Meeting Again (3)
Although Rise said those words fearlessly in his mind, in reality, he was still so anxious at this moment. He did not know where to go, not knowing where Kamille would be by this time.
Perhaps, the other was in his room?
Several thoughts flashed in his mind, but none of them could be proven. The only thing he could do was to sweep the whole building if that was the last option he had.
It helped that almost no one was wandering around, making it easier for Rise to search without anyone bothering or annoying him. For a moment, he had this urge to use the official channels to search, but thinking of that as the only resort for now.
A while later, his walking speed significantly slowed down, trailing the hallway to one of the open spaces in the building. Rise’s gaze automatically shifted to the direction where a familiar figure stood with his back facing him.
Kamille...
His breath almost stopped for a second, and his mouth parted. His eyes glimmered with recognition, and the suppressed longing almost overwhelmed him.
However, he still managed to stop himself from running and hugging that figure, even kissing him. Rise cast a glance at the person he was with, the one he was talking to.
Right, Kamille was not alone. He was talking with a woman who also had her back turned from Rise.
It was also a very familiar person, someone close to his heart.
Thalia. His number one fan, a title only she deserved to claim.
Come to think of it, Rise also realized that Thalia was not inside the venue since his mind was preoccupied by his meeting with Kamille.
This was not the first time that Rise saw Thalia after he returned again. She was also one of the main priorities to visit in the past weeks.
Rise went to the zone where the Evergreen Guild was located and observed her for about three days. Seeing she seemed not to have the memory of the past or the past lives she had, he decided to leave her be.
Truthfully, if Rise were only to be asked, he wanted Thalia to stay out of this. He did not want her to suffer the same fate as the past, as this reset was probably going to be even harsher.
So, he did not want to disturb her. But, it seemed interacting with her was inevitable, after all.
Rise’s gaze deepened watching the two talk to each other. He was a bit curious, what they were talking about. He bit his lips and shut his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. He had to do this and act perfectly!
He had to make an impactful impression; it did not need to be good, but he had to make Kamille take note of him...
When he opened his eyes again, the nervousness was nowhere to be found on his expression and was replaced by a menacing smirk, signature Rise smile whenever he was about to make a mess.
At this moment, he was Rise of the Union and not Rise of Dark Crimson Guild, the famous villain Rise.
He strode recklessly through where the two were standing, not hiding his arrogant presence in the slightest. The wind also seemed to be welcoming him and assisting him as it blew and made his silver hair and suit coat, which was only draped at his shoulder to sway, giving him a more dramatic appearance.
Rise’s smirk widened, and the mischief in his eyes grew upon seeing the two simultaneously look back. Their expressions changed but with different intensity.
Thalia looked stunned, probably screaming inside his head at Rise’s appearance, while Kamille only frowned slightly, his expression unreadable, which was to be expected.
Even though his heart was beating fast, it did not show on Rise’s face at all. He maintained his smile and narrowed his eyes.
"Wow," He stopped just a few more steps from the two and shifted his gaze back and forth at the two with a tone of amusement. "Is this big news? Two Guild Leaders are meeting alone in a secluded place." Rise’s brows shot up, and he acted like he was whispering.
"Are you two dating here?" Of course, he did not forget to appear excited about gossip. This was also not new, as Rise was truly someone who loved drama!
As soon as he finished, the expression of the two, though mostly Thalia, changed to one of astonishment. And Kamille only stared deeply at Rise’s face, expression dark, which made him more nervous.
Rise did not want to focus too much on Kamille, or he might not act well and be distracted, so he only swept his eyes on him before returning to Thalia.
"Ah, no!" Thalia immediately shook her head, flustered. "We... We’re only talking. Really, just talking..."
"Oh?" Unconvinced, Rise stepped closer, then stopped just in front of Kamille, and then bravely arched his neck and met Kamille’s gaze, which almost made his knees tremble.
Hell, he almost hugged him. But, Rise was still Rise. His acting was top-notch. All of this did not register in his outward appearance, and he only smirked further.
"How about you, handsome?" Rise’s eyes glistened and even dared to reach out and touch Kamille’s chin despite cursing himself inside. Seriously, he was getting into it. "Do you also think the same?"
A few seconds later and Kamille had yet to answer; he was only staring deeply at Rise as if observing his whole being, including his soul kind of stare.
A dangerous air started to increase around them. Rise’s heart skipped a beat, and he almost had goosebumps.
Oh shit. He seemed to annoy Kamille too much; he was speechless and wanted to engrave his image for revenge later. It was like when they first met before.
Rise cleared his throat and averted his gaze, withdrawing his hand, but before he could, Kamille already reached out and grabbed it. Startled, Rise frowned but quickly put on an amused expression.
He looked at his wrist that was being held and then to Thalia, who was watching dumbfounded at the side, and then finally at Kamille, raising a brow.
"I touched you, and now you did the same. We’re even. So," Rise straightened his posture. "Now, let go." His expression suddenly became indifferent; gone was the amused expression as if he had become a different person.
A heavy pressure then descended. How to make a long-lasting impression? Of course, the villain way, they had to fight, right?
