Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!-Chapter 40 - 37: Horror Hospital 5 (You Look So Pathetic Groveling)
Yuze frowned slightly. If it weren’t for this being the Little Tactician’s first time running a dungeon with them, and her being just a little girl, he would have thrown a punch already.
The road was packed with monsters, and Yuze barely had time to catch his breath, needing to change direction at tricky angles with every breath.
It really wasn’t a good route.
Now, changing direction was too late, as monsters from all directions were alerted and converging in this direction.
His livestream chat was already blowing up.
[What’s this cat doing?!]
[Is this the new Tactician? What nonsense?! It’s getting my Yu into trouble!]
[What an idiot, honestly speechless, just a burden, really?]
[If you can’t handle it, just stay in the ward, don’t drag my Yu into this insisting he bring you along.]
[What the heck is this cat anyway?! They call it a Tactician? I think it’s just useless!]
[Exactly, not only useless but doesn’t listen to advice.]
[Despicable! Just now, Yu didn’t follow its direction, so it jumped down on its own. Yu wouldn’t have been injured if he wasn’t trying to save it!]
[Yu is just too kind-hearted, should just let this Tactician die! What a piece of trash!]
[Exactly! Let it die! Stupid enough to want to go and get killed, taking my Yu along too.]
[Look at it now, the dumb route chosen, not only full of monsters, but it’s hard to escape now too, almost all the hospital monsters are gathering here.]
[Isn’t this basically a zombie siege?!]
[At least zombies aren’t agile, these monsters move almost as fast as Yu under suppression.]
[What kind of Tactician did the guild find, dumb as hell! With such a burden dragging my Yu down, better not to have any Tactician.]
[Exactly! I’m going to file a complaint on the guild’s official account!]
[Me too!]
[Failing the dungeon is fine, but this Tactician must go!]
Josh and Yuze were forced to the top floor by the monsters, with all the monsters swarming toward them, roaring as if furious.
Looking down from above, you could see other players out looking for clues.
But there were no monsters trailing them.
They strolled around the hospital looking for clues as leisurely as if they were in their backyard, in stark contrast to Yuze and Josh, who were struggling to escape.
Yuze caught his breath, leaning against a door, with a dark expression asked, "No way, every monster in the hospital is chasing just the two of us, right?"
"Meow~" Josh replied.
Yuze raised an eyebrow, "Really?"
Josh nodded again.
Yuze’s mouth twitched, "What route did you choose, such bad luck... No, wait!"
He turned to look at Josh, "All the monsters are here?"
Josh nodded again, looking at him as if he was an unbelievably rare dumb creature.
Finally, he realized.
Yuze’s eyes darkened, quickly scanning the surroundings.
Just now he was only focused on escaping, not thinking much.
If it was just a simple discovery, it couldn’t possibly alert all the hospital’s monsters, let alone have them all converging towards the two of them, ignoring the people below.
This massive reaction could only mean one thing.
Their escape direction had something significant that the monsters didn’t want them to touch, or was afraid they’d discover.
For all the hospital’s monsters to mobilize to encircle them, this crucial information had to be extremely significant.
Yuze looked at the little kitten strangely, "Did you know from the start that there’s something here?"
Josh nodded.
Didn’t she perform the leaf divination?
This guy wasn’t paying attention at all.
Josh jumped off him, patting the door beside them.
Yuze raised an eyebrow, seeing a human-like gaze in a little kitten’s eyes.
He uncertainly looked at the little kitten, "You mean... the clue is in here?"
The little kitten nodded.
Yuze glanced at the fast-approaching monsters not far away, seemingly the kitten’s actions made them very wary.
He didn’t hesitate much, picked up the little kitten, and kicked open the door, quickly shutting it behind them.
The little kitten landed on the floor.
Yuze quickly locked the door.
Outside, the monsters could only snarl and scratch at the walls, seeming extremely angry.
Yuze patted the little kitty’s head approvingly, "You got pretty good luck, seeing how intense it is outside, we might hit it big tonight."
"Meow~" Dummy.
She looked up, gazing around the room.
Yuze also quickened his pace, heading to the bookshelf in the room.
The room looked like an office, quite spacious, containing a desk, a bookshelf, and a sofa.
There was a computer on the desk.
The room was very clean, as if it was frequently used.
Yuze quickly moved to the desk drawers, searching for materials.
Josh climbed up his pant leg, jumping onto the desk; her little paw landed on the keyboard, and the computer suddenly lit up.
Yuze raised an eyebrow, moving the little kitty aside and picking up the mouse to operate.
A top-secret file was on the desktop.
His eyes lit up, and he double-clicked to open it.
However, a window popped up on the screen, requiring a password.
Josh looked at the screen, her gut telling her the main quest was directly related to this file.
Yuze lower his gaze in thought for a moment, then entered "123456" in the password box.
Josh: "..."
[Password error, you have two more attempts, after three the computer will activate defense mechanisms and automatically destroy files.]
Yuze frowned slightly, looking at the little kitty, "Looks like we’ll have to leave empty-handed tonight, need to find the password first."
[Ding! Congratulations on triggering the main quest, "The Dean’s Bloody Past," current task progress is 0.]
A message popped up simultaneously in Josh and Yuze’s systems.
To find the password, they first needed to complete this main quest.
Tonight wasn’t exactly a loss after all.
Yuze’s livestream chat quickly shifted direction.
[Sorry little kitty, I was too loud earlier.]
[Sniff sniff, thank you little kitty for helping my Yu find a new clue!]
[You guys look so ridiculous sliding down to beg!]
[This little cat is amazing, how did it know this direction had a major mainline clue?]
[Same question, it’s been with Yu the whole time, at Yu’s level, no way could he miss something this cat could find, right?]
[I want to ask too.]
[Anyone who doesn’t know can check out that new streamer’s channel, Josh Augustine!]
Many people took time to find Josh’s livestream.
Josh’s livestream chat: [She’s starting again, starting again!]
[The mysterious leaves!]
[Didn’t she say it’s called divination?]
[The old Blue Star dark magic!]
[Not understanding, is this not considered cheating?! Just tossing leaves and knowing which path has critical clues?!]
[Streamer, explain! I’m dying of curiosity here!]
[This little trick is only fooling you newbie audience fools!]
