Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!-Chapter 39 - 36: Horror Hospital 4 (Bonus)
Rob dared to ask: [So who are we listening to now?]
Yuze: [Of course, it’s our wise and mighty Little Tactician, my lord.]
Josh hadn’t interacted much with the group, but he had a basic understanding of their personalities.
Rob and Jiang Can were relatively easygoing, one was a cute drama queen, and the other was a little insensitive.
Although Yuze seemed to be either sleeping or playing mischievous pranks all day, and appeared to act at random, it’s precisely this type of person who is hard to see through.
Yushi was still quite unfamiliar; he hardly ever made an appearance to speak or do anything; his presence was like that of an invisible man, making him hard to figure out.
Josh thought for a moment, [Let’s split up to gather clues first. Report your locations, and tonight we’ll divide the areas and search by parts to avoid overlap.]
Rob: [0.0 Your deployment is just like the captain’s.]
Josh: [?]
Yuze: [The Little Tactician must have secretly peeked at my messages.]
Josh: [...]
Jiang Can: [But this deployment was just rejected. We’re locked in the greenhouse warehouse; we can’t get out.]
Josh thought for a moment: [Don’t you have free movement time?]
Rob: [No, wuwuwuwu... treating us like pets, each in his own cage.]
Josh’s eyes flickered; that was truly the case.
Yuze: [At night, I’ll go with the Little Tactician to search for clues and help you find the keys. You stay in the greenhouse warehouse for now.]
Josh thought for a bit; this was indeed feasible.
[Okay.]
Jiang Can: [Alright.]
Rob: [No problem.]
Yushi: [... but I’m already out.]
Jiang Can: [??]
Rob: [??]
Josh: [How did you get out?]
With a slightly baffled honest look on his face, Yushi said: [They locked me in, and when they were going out and locking the door, I followed them out.]
Josh: [...]
Is that even possible?
The attribute of an invisible transparent person can even trick NPCs?
Yuze was evidently used to it and showed no major expression.
Instead, he tagged Josh: [Quick, go to sleep; little kittens really need sleep. If you can’t hold on at night, I’ll act alone.]
Josh was already too sleepy to open her eyes. Hearing this, she didn’t insist and sent an "ok" before falling deep asleep.
A kitten’s body indeed needs a lot of sleep. She had just been awake for a little while and was already very tired and sleepy.
Before falling asleep, she couldn’t help but open the system panel and messaged Yuze: [Wake me before the action; don’t act alone.]
Yuze: [I’m a coward, don’t dare to go alone, don’t worry (*^▽^*).]
Josh: [...]
This person’s personality is really irritating; even chatting through a screen feels sneaky.
Josh quickly sank into a deep sleep.
When she woke again, it was a bumpy awakening.
She instinctively licked her cat paws, washed her face with her paws, and just as she was about to sit steady, she felt her bottom shift, getting tossed out, her body plunging rapidly downward.
Josh snapped awake, opening her eyes.
She finally noticed that she had fallen from a tree.
Before she had time to scream, she was suddenly grabbed by the nape, and she was steadily taken back to the tree.
The feeling of being held by the nape instinctively made her behave, tucking away her paws, her limbs hanging as if drained of strength.
Yuze released his grip and placed her in the palm of his hand.
Only then did Josh see the person behind her.
Yuze had beastified, with two furry ears and sharp fangs on his head.
Behind them followed a group of already beastified monsters, wearing nurses’ and doctors’ white coats.
Josh felt the overwhelming spiritual power pressing against her, quickly hiding in Yuze’s clothing pocket.
Yuze took the time to pat her little head: "Don’t worry; these attacks won’t reach you when you’re by my side."
You can’t go out after 6 p.m.
Going out will get you attacked.
Josh frowned at the situation.
Although Yuze’s Spiritual Body was a cat, giving him a natural speed advantage, in this dungeon, most monsters were also cats, sharing the speed advantage.
Yuze’s speed couldn’t play a major role in this place; avoiding capture was all about his odd angle dodges.
Josh didn’t know, but Yuze’s strength was the strongest among this group of players, and his attribute panel had been heavily nerfed, almost below the B-level dungeon adaptation line.
Yuze kept zigzagging, dodging in sharp angles between the hospital corridors and the trees outside, barely gaining some distance at a corner.
Josh frowned; playing a tug-of-war like this wasn’t a solution.
Perpetual chasing made their outing pointless.
She was about to speak but remembered Yuze couldn’t understand her cat language, so she opened the attribute panel and tagged Yuze in the group: [Stop at a tree branch.]
Yuze glanced at her.
The little kitten in his pocket patted him gently.
Yuze could only sprint forward, stopping while the monsters searched for their landing spot.
Josh jumped out of his pocket, biting three leaves from a nearby branch and throwing them down.
Yuze: "... What are you doing?"
Behind them, the monsters were closing in again.
The ferocious humanoid cat-headed monsters twisted their necks at odd angles, making "kuku" sounds from their throats, their eerie green eyes fixed on the tree the duo sat on.
Josh finally saw how fast these monsters were.
They were like shadows launched at high speed, their movements almost impossible to track.
Yet, amidst the fast movements, there was a sound of air swishing past.
Josh twitched her cat ears, indicating a direction.
Yuze had no time to think deeply, quickly moving toward the direction she pointed and dodging several more waves of monsters.
Josh climbed out of his pocket, claws hooked on his hospital gown, standing on his shoulder, watching the three leaves slowly land on the ground nearby.
Yuze hurriedly restrained her: "Don’t move around; if you fall, I won’t save you."
Josh had seen the direction the leaves fell and their front and back.
She reached out a paw to tug on Yuze, pointing to a direction nearby.
Yuze took a look that way, a path with monster pinching.
He frowned and continued forward: "That way is dangerous."
Seeing this, Josh immediately jumped out of his pocket, fiercely flapping her little paws towards that direction.
Yuze looked at the approaching distant monsters, then at the little kitten running on the ground. He clicked his tongue, applied more spiritual power, and rushed forward.
Josh was running in that direction when she was suddenly lifted off the ground, stuffed back into the pocket.
This pause allowed the monsters to catch up, slashing three deep wounds into Yuze’s back.
He grunted, pressing his hand against his chest in retaliation.
"Ow!" The little kitten voiced her protest from the pocket.
He had no choice but to manifest his claw blades, shredding the surrounding monsters.
But the attacks left only shallow marks on the monsters, not slowing them down at all.
It’s just a scraping wound.
Yuze furrowed his brow and stopped tangling with them, carrying the cat as he leaped out the window, rushing towards the direction Josh indicated.
Monsters grew in numbers along the way.
Yuze was gradually struggling, his level being heavily suppressed, not daring to make significant movements with the cat in the pocket.
If not for his deft angle dodging, he’d be in worse shape.
Yuze panted, dodging a flurry of attacks, fleeing while asking, "Do we keep going forward?"
The little kitten let out a "Meow," signaling him to continue forward.
