I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 80: Corrupted Cockroach? (edited)
Why was it next to them? And how long was it standing there?
Lillian quickly glanced up towards Marionette and saw she was also expressing a similar expression, except hers wasn’t mixed in with fear.
It seemed that Marionette was also shocked at its presence.
The Catacomb Dweller stared down at them with an ominous aura around it.
Its hands and legs that were once erratic paused, becoming calm like a still ocean.
Marionette then suddenly knocked Lillian away from her.
Lillian watched as her body tilted back, and an arm coated in blood passed by her face in a split second.
Its fingers were straightened, uniformed, and shaped like a blade.
The Corrupted Cockroach launched its first attack.
Its arm then snapped towards Marionette, speeding towards her.
Marionette backed away with a serious expression, watching as the Catacomb Dweller’s hand quickly approached her abdomen.
Marionette gritted her teeth, tilting her body to the side and staring at the blade-shaped hand enter through her side.
Lillian’s hopeful expectations that Marionette’s body would phase through the attack were shattered.

Marionette’s blood splattered through the air as the Corrupted monster stabbed through her stab.
Marionette’s face didn’t twitch a bit at the throbbing pain from her bleeding side and instead summoned dark spikes from the ground, piercing through its body.
She then quickly backed off away from it and returned back to Lillian’s side.
Lillian stared concerningly at Marionette’s other serious wound, which Marionette had wrapped in darkness to prevent any more needless bleeding.
"Aren’t you going to drink a Health Potion?"
"... I... only carry the High-grade ones on me."
"Huh!?" Lillian widened her eyes. Instead of questioning it, she hurriedly opened her system store. T-then, do you want to have one of mine?"
"No need." Marionette immediately turned it down. She then glanced towards the timer.
[02:57]
"We don’t have long anyway. No need to waste such things when we’ll be fully healed on the outside."
Marionette then turned towards Lillian with wide eyes, "You are aware that all of our injuries would be gone once we exit the Trial, correct?"
Lillian’s eyes twitched, "I very much do! I am most knowledgeable about these things!" she said with a prideful smirk.
’I think...’
But she wasn’t entirely sure despite having most of the knowledge about the game still floating through her mind.
They then turned back their attention to the Corrupted Catacomb Dweller to find that it had already escaped the spikes that had pierced through its body.
Its body that was... undamaged... still the same as when it first arrived.
"Corrupted monster from True Darkness..."
Lillian turned her head towards Marionette and saw her putting on a different expression that wasn’t her usual indifferent one.
"Monsters belonging in this category are more empowered by the darkness around them while making any attacks or use of it useless against them... especially my way of phasing through its attacks..."
Lillian nodded grimly.
"Great... to think your counter would show up..."
They then watched as it turned its gaze towards the ruined body of the Violet Tree.
The Parasitic Evergrow was completely sucked dry of all manner of nutrients or moisture its body store.
Its once vibrant leaves had greyed out and died—slowly detaching and gliding towards the ground.
Its eye still remained shrivelled, but the difference was that the javelin was no longer in it.
The only evidence that it was there was the fallen scarlet petals of the metallic rose that bloomed from it.
With a bent of its knees, the Corrupted Cockroach shot towards the dead tree, reaching and stabbing its claws into its dry surface.
It climbed, and it climbed.
Sinking its claws and the several hooks on its appendages into the bark and pulling itself up with ease.
Lillian stared grimly at this before glancing at the timer.
[02:00]
’Only 57 seconds have passed...’
She then felt Marionette’s arms wrap around her neck and her warm breath brushing against her right ear.
She then heard Marionette whisper in a serious tone:
"Shoot it down before it could reach the eye. It is already at the Dire Rank, so we mustn’t let it grow any stronger by forming another shell by devouring that eye..."
Without any other delay, Lillian immediately got to work.
As the Corrupted Cockroach made steady progress up the tree, it was suddenly interrupted by rapid projectiles that caused the tree to shake.
It planted its claws, carefully making sure it was stuck before twisting its head back curiously.
It watched as Lillian waved her hand dramatically in the air, summoning droplets of water that morphed into simple spears.
Its body then tensed up once it saw Lillian launching a volley of a dozen of these spears.
It hurriedly turned its head back around and unlatched its claws from the tree before starting back up its ascent.
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!
With its only eye, it watched as the spear crashed into the dry body of the tree, tearing small holes into it.
Using it to its advantage, it leapt towards one of the made holes and continued up.
However, this idea it had made had caused its chest to be skewered by one of Lillian’s spears.
Lillian stared with a sadistic glint in her eyes as she chugged a Mana potion.
Marionette stared at her from the sides with an odd look on her face, "I think you may be sadisti—"
"N-no interrupting!" Lillian stammered, focusing back on sending another volley.
Marionette rolled her eyes before reaching down and grabbing a palm-size stone. And with a twist of her body, she shot it at neck-breaking speed.
The Corrupted Cockroach pulled its right arm from the tree before wrapping its fingers around the spear in its chest, which had begun to mix in with its blood before crushing it.
The upper half of the spear returned back to its liquid-flowing state, dripping over its fingers.
The rest of the spear continued to remain intact before eventually collapsing as well once running out of mana.
It then stared down at the aching hole in its chest that poured a dramatic amount of blood before ignoring it and the growing crack in its carapace.
Just as it was about to continue climbing, its mind then went into a daze as something slammed into the back of its head.
The rock has caused its body to lose its strength.
Its body was dangled by its hands, which were still lodged into the tree before regaining its strength.
Despite the serious wounds in its chest and the large dent in its head that would be fatal to a normal human, it continued its climb with sheer tenacity.
And eventually leveraging itself over the wooden ledge and into the concave eye socket of the dead tree.
Its body shook weakly as its blood dyed the dark wooden ground. It started at the saggy eyeball with a greedy glint in its eye.
Walking towards it, it raised its arm and immediately had it blown off by another volley of spears.
It snapped its mandibles in frustration and leapt towards the eye, biting down and tearing it off.
Marionette tapped her chin as she narrowed her eyes, watching as the Corrupted Cockroach devoured the eye before turning towards Lillian.
"You didn’t kill it."
"It’s like...! Really hard to aim these things, you know! And shouldn’t I have gone for the eye instead?!"
"That would cause it to go after us once that happens. And in addition, you may have gotten a Shard if you killed it." Marionette listed her reason.
Lillian sighed, figuring that these reasons were quite logical. She then glanced towards the timer.
[00:30]
"Well, I doubt it’s going to reach us in ti—"
Lillian then watched as a shadow loomed over her before being knocked to the side.
CLANG!
Lillian fell to the ground, staring up as Marionette clashed against what seemed to be a bulkier version of the Corrupted Cockroach.
Its head still remained the same, but its carapace became much thicker and had an even deeper black tint to it.
It also had two extra pairs of smaller arms growing out of its sides.
’Shit! This thing became a damn Brawler!’
Lillian then stared towards Marionette, who brandished a beautiful silver longsword with intricate patterns etched into its blade.
Marionette stared at her blade as the smaller pair of arms were pushing it back.
Her face contorted, struggling under its strength and being forced back into a stone pillar.
She gazed down at her black arm and saw it swirling uncontrollably a bit as it seemed to move towards the Corrupted Cockroach.
The dark smoke rising from the Cockroach’s empty eye socket grew deeper. It was absorbing Marionette’s darkness.
It then raised one of its thicker arms and cocked it back before throwing it was an extreme force that shattered the pillar behind, missing Marionette as she pushed herself out of the way.
