I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 94
Chapter 94: Chapter 94
Meanwhile, deep within the Shadow Society Headquarters, nestled in the underground of Aridana—a country far to the east of the main continents—the tension was palpable.
"Ugh!"
The sharp sound of a slap echoed through the dimly lit chamber, followed by a low groan as the man’s head snapped to the side from the force of the blow.
"You did what?"
A figure loomed in the shadows, his presence radiating an aura of controlled menace. His eyes, narrowed with fury, bored into the man kneeling before him.
"The Pomellus’ Pendant... it was stolen by someone else," the kneeling man stammered, his voice quivering under the weight of his superior’s anger. He dared not meet the man’s gaze, knowing full well the consequences of his failure.
For a moment, there was only silence—a heavy, suffocating silence that made the kneeling man’s heart pound in his chest. The figure in the shadows remained still, his expression unreadable, but the tension in the room grew unbearable.
When he finally spoke, his voice was cold, almost dispassionate, yet it cut through the air like a blade. "Do you have any idea how valuable that pendant is? You let it slip through your fingers, and now it’s in the hands of someone else. I just can’t understand how one measly girl stole the pendant from the two of you." The leader’s voice was cold, each word dripping with disbelief and contempt. As he stepped further into the dim light, his features became more visible—sharp, unforgiving, and etched with the weight of authority.
The kneeling man flinched, his body trembling with fear. "Y-you see, our commander, Val... he didn’t wait for me and rushed head on, I didn’t know he got killed and by the time I could reach him, all I saw was Val’s ash, a torn piece of a women’s gown and a hint of light attribute left in the scene."
The leader’s silence was more terrifying than any outburst. His eyes darkened, and his lips pressed into a thin line as he absorbed the Rogue’s words. Val—he had been a skilled and ruthless pawn, even myself had respected for his abilities. But now, it was clear that Val’s arrogance had not only cost him the pendant but also his life.
"He underestimated her," the leader finally muttered, more to himself than anyone else in the room. "His arrogance blinded him to the threat she posed."
The Rogue, sensing a slight shift in the leader’s tone, dared to speak up again. "I-I will not fail you again, I-I promise to find her and-
"Enough," the shadowy figure interrupted, his tone icy. "Excuses won’t bring the pendant back. You’ve failed, and failures are not tolerated in the Shadow Society."
The kneeling man’s breath hitched, his fear escalating. He knew what was coming, and there was nothing he could do to stop it.
"Please... give me another chance," he pleaded, desperation lacing his voice. "I’ll find her, I’ll get the pendant back, I swear!"
The shadowy figure remained silent for a moment, considering the man’s plea. Then, with a slow, deliberate movement, he stepped forward, finally revealing himself—a tall, imposing man with a face as cold and hard as stone. His eyes gleamed with a predatory intensity, the kind that sent shivers down one’s spine.
"You won’t get the chance," he said quietly, almost softly. But the words were a death sentence.
Before the kneeling man could react, a sharp blade emerged from the shadows, cutting through the air with lethal precision. The man barely had time to register what was happening before the blade found its mark, silencing him forever.
The tall man looked down at the lifeless body with a mixture of disdain and indifference. "Clean this up," he ordered, his voice devoid of emotion, before turning and disappearing back into the shadows.
The room was once again engulfed in silence, but it was the silence of the dead—a silence that echoed through the cold, dark corridors of the Shadow Society, where failure was never an option and mercy was a foreign concept.

Sunday morning, the sunlight streamed through the windows as Remillia sat up in bed, she quickly composed a message in their group chat, her fingers moving deftly over the screen:
Remillia: Good morning, everyone! Let’s meet up at our usual spot. I’ve bought pastries from our trip at Élirville, Aurélien.
She hit send and then got ready, anticipation building as she thought about what happened yesterday night.
She grabbed the box of pastries and headed out, making her way to the club room. The campus was quiet, with only a few students milling about, enjoying the peaceful morning.
By the time she reached the club room, it was quiet, save for the soft hum of the air conditioning. She set the box down on the large table in the center of the room and took a seat, waiting for her friends to arrive.
It wasn’t long before the door swung open, Cypher and Christian strolled in, followed closely by Angela, Edge, and Rex. Whitney was the last to arrive since she brought coffee for us to accompany the pastries I’ve bought.
The atmosphere was noisy and cheerful. While they were enjoying the pastries, I decided to broach the topic that had been on her mind since the night before. "So, what happened yesterday at the ball?" I finally asked.
Christian and Rex exchanged confused glances, clearly out of the loop. "What ball?" Christian asked, his brow furrowed.
Remillia smiled slightly, as if she were teasing them. "You know the Wandering Club right? We went to Élirville Aurélien to enjoy the day and the four of them attended a masquerade ball yesterday. I didn’t got the chance to join them because I gad something to do so I want to know how much fun they had."
Rex looked even more bewildered. "You were all there except the both of us?" He pointed to himself and Christian, then turned his gaze to Edge. "Hey, boss, you were there too?"
Edge nodded, his expression as calm as ever. "I got bored and joined their club.... It seemed fun."
Rex threw his hands up in mock protest. "Not fair!"
The group laughed, enjoying the camaraderie. Whitney chimed in with a smirk, "Well, you two missed... and even Angela quite the spectacle. But don’t worry, we’ll fill you in."
"Wait, what happened to Angela?" Rex curiously asked.
Angela hesitated for a moment before offering a sheepish smile. "I, uh, wasn’t there when the fight started. I got a bit lost trying to find my way back from the comfort room." She paused, then added, "By the time I got there, it was already over."
Edge teased her lightly, "Really, Angela? You missed all the action because you got lost?"
Angela pouted, trying to defend herself. "It was a big place, okay? And those hallways were confusing!"
The group chuckled as Whitney began to tell the story on how they arrived at the ball. Christian and Rex leaned in, eager to hear the details. The group began to recount the events of the previous night, sharing their perspectives and experiences. Remillia listened intently, piecing together the parts she hadn’t witnessed firsthand.
Cypher, who had been listening quietly, spoke up next. "It wasn’t exactly what you’d call a normal ball," he began, his voice low as if recalling the events. "Things got out of hand quickly. There was a fight... and it wasn’t just any fight."
Whitney nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it was intense. A couple was fighting to death and we were caught up in it, trying to stop the situation from escalating further since none of the guards seemed to step up."
Cypher added, "Not only that, a Rogue showed up too. Luckily, no civilian got hurt because a woman wearing a fox mask managed to annoy the Rogue enough to lure it outside."
Edge, who usually kept to himself, unexpectedly joined in. "Now that I think about it, wasn’t that the same person who bumped into me?"
Whitney paused, considering Edge’s words. "You’re right. But why did she do that? Was she also sent by another guild or organization?"
Remillia felt a chill run down her spine and quickly tried to divert the conversation. "What happened after the Rogue chased the stranger?"
Whitney didn’t seem to notice Remillia’s unease and continued. "The authorities showed up and wrapped up the ball, trying to track down the Rogue. We were questioned about what we saw, but it wasn’t much. I did hear that the couple fighting were Annabelle Finley and her ex, Alessio."
Remillia’s ear perked up, "Oh? Why is the vice president of Sovereign Legion there?"
"She was assigned to retrieve the Pomellus’ Pendant where the Masquerade Ball was held," Whitney explained. "Apparently, she insisted that her ex, Alessio, had stolen it before the Rogue took it from him. But there wasn’t enough evidence, so they released him."
She took a sip of her coffee, shaking her head slightly. "The authorities searched the entire place, but the Pomellus’ Pendant was nowhere to be found. And just when they thought they had things under control, another Rogue appeared. He was incredibly fast, and despite their efforts, he managed to slip away before anyone could catch him."
