While the people from the Gipan Kingdom stay inside the fortress Gwyndolin made, the people in the Gokuya Kingdom are busy thinking. Thinking of how to win this war, the war that they start.

They have sent a peace treaty to the Gipan Kingdom when they get the news of them marching to their kingdom. However, instead of agreeing to their request for a peace treaty, the king of the Gipan Kingdom rejected their request.

They already know that the king of the Gipan Kingdom will reject them, but seeing the letter of rejection, the king of Gokuya Kingdom cannot help but be angry as this is the first time he gets rejected outright.

His people never once outright reject him, and even the ones rejecting him use a sweet word to make him feel better. This is the first time someone has decided to reject him and even insult him in a letter.

"How dare they?!"

So here he is throwing temper tantrums at the advisor, who can only look at the table so they do not get hit by the king’s temper tantrum.

"I’m the king of a kingdom twice the size of them, and they decide to treat me like this?!"

The king slammed his fist on the table in front of him and took a deep breath. After a couple of seconds, he had a grin on his face.

"Very well! If they want war, then they will get war! Sacrifice ten thousand people to the Monster-Summoning device! We will summon the biggest monster and destroy them!"

"Your Majesty! This is madness! We cannot sacrifice a thousand people to make this plan happen! We should sue for peace! We can promise them to give back the land that they lose and focus on the South. We can fight them at a later date when we are done with the South."

"Silence!"

The king shouted, his eyes were full of madness. He has already lost his mind. His mind is filled with only death and destruction. He did not care about the word of his house. He did not care about the founder of his kingdom and house but about protecting the people from any kind of threat but especially the monster.

However, here he decides to ally himself and his kingdom with the monster instead of killing them.

"I have been ignoring them enough! Not only did they dare to kill my soldiers and insult me! But they also decided to attack us! Take all the prisoners we have and sacrifice them to the Monster Summoning device! Wait! I have a better idea."

The king gives a sinister smirk, and the other advisor starts to get uneasy at the sight in front of them.

"What is the city name between the fortress we take from that blasted kingdom?"

One of the advisors hesitated for a second before saying.

"Barukan, Your Majesty."

"Barukan... Good. Bury the biggest Monster Summoning device in the middle of that city! Let the crystal feed on their poor souls! A month should be enough, and they are ready to attack the incoming army."

The army can already imagine how his plan will unfold. He can imagine the Gipan Kingdom’s army will see an empty city filled with nothing but corpses, but when they get inside, a massive Void Crack appears, and a rush of monsters attacks them.

"Thousands of people will die, Your Majesty! We cannot do that! Not only that, but we will also lose a valuable lord who can defend us from the North!"

"Hah! So what? The monster will be our defense against the north."

The other advisor looks at the king in fear and surprise. One of the brave ones decides it is enough and stands up.

"I have enough. You never listen to us. You are the reason why this war started. I agree to conquer the Gipan Kingdom. However, we need to prepare and finish the war in the South but no. You decide you want to attack the North and ignore our advice. Now you want to sacrifice our own people to summon the creatures we should be killing. Are you out of your mind!?"

The king only looked at the man in front of him with a bored expression. After a few seconds, he makes a hand gesture, and suddenly the guard inside the room stabs the man right in the chest while the other hand swings his sword to cut the advisor’s head.

The king looks at the shocked advisor with the same bored expression and says.

"Anyone else wants to say something?"

The king looks around for a few seconds, and when he sees there is no one who wants to say more, he nods.

"No? Good. Take four hundred new soldiers to the North and one of the mages to put that device together and bury it deep into the ground. Make sure the people coming to that city do not know what happened. The more they feel pain, the more powerful the Summoning Device will be."

His smile gets bigger, and now people can see his yellow teeth.

"I got an even better idea! Send a notice to any lord who has yet to move their soldiers! Tell them to send some of their soldiers to the Barukan city. Tell them to send at least two hundred soldiers so they can help defend against the Northern Army as long as they can."

And the king starts to chuckle at his idea.

"We will even give them the money for that. Yes. Tell them we will reward them if they send the people to that city. Tell them the more they send, the more reward I will give. Tell the Lord of Barukan City we will support them in supply."

Now he is fully laughing at his idea.

"Let them gather in one place and be the fuel for the greatest monster outbreak ever! Let the monster do the job that those incompetent people cannot do! The monster will kill those bastards, and I will rule over half of the continent!"

The king continued to laugh for a full minute before suddenly stopping and only looking around the room for a few seconds. The longer the silence stretches, the more uncomfortable the people in this room become.

After a full minute of silence, the king says something in a low voice.

"If... If one of you decides to betray me and talk to others about this plan... I will personally torture you and feed your body to the wolves. I will take your family and torture them before your eyes, and I will let one of the dogs to r*pe your wives and daughter; I know all of you have at least one daughter."

The king smiles slightly and continues.

"If you did not have any intention to betray me, you did not need to worry. However..."

The king leans forward and lowers his voice.

"If you have an intention to betray me... Expect your scream to be heard through the palace."

After he says that, the king gets up from his seat and walks away from the meeting room. Other than the king and his personal guards, no one else left the room as the shock was still not leaving their bodies.

The bright sky turns into darkness, and people start returning to their homes to rest after a long workday.

However, one person decides to go to the darkest part of the capital city of the Gokuya Kingdom. It was one of the four guards that always followed the king of the Gokuya Kingdom in the early meeting.

He gets inside one of the alleys that did not get a touch of moonlight and arrives at a dead end. However, instead of turning around, he looks at his surroundings for a few seconds and touches the ground. He sent his mana into one of the stones at the corner of the wall, and suddenly hidden stairs to the underground appeared next to him.

He takes the stairs to the hidden underground and touches the wall to his left, closing the hidden door behind him and lighting up the magical lanterns on the wall. He gets deeper into the underground before he finally reaches a massive steel door.

He touches the steel door and pushes his mana into it. A second later, the door opens on its own and reveals a room with many kinds of things inside; there are even human corpses inside the room.

The man ignores all of them and reaches for the table in the middle of the room with an orb on the table. He sits next to the table and touches the orb. He waits for a minute before suddenly; an image appears on the orb.

It was an image of a young man with golden hair and red eyes. He is wearing a robe that fits a high noble and combines it with his face; many women will swoon in his presence.

"Ah, Andreas. How is the plan?"

"We have a problem, my lord."

The man inside the orb frowns, and Andreas, the Knight, shudders when he sees those red eyes looking at him intensely.

"Explain."

Andreas can only swallow his fear and start to explain.
