I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 59
I spent a lot of money to buy thirty horses for all my guards who came with me to the capital. I am willing to spend a lot of gold because of the news of the Gokuya kingdom invading us. I need to go back home and join the defense against the South.
We have been riding the horse for a few hours now, and the only reason why the horse is still fine is because of my spell that I constantly cast to restore their stamina and heal any injury they have.
I hope we have enough time before the war starts. A massive army needs a week or two to go across the danger zone, and it takes eight days to travel from the capital city to Cunningham County.
I hope that we can make it.

Everything is not making any sense! The Gokuya Kingdom should not be invading before the third arc! Does my existence in this world change the world so much? Shit! 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
I cannot do anything with Jonathan being called back to his home, and I’m returning home.
What can I do? We cannot let the South fall and let the next wave come.
The invasion of the Gokuya Kingdom is the first urgent mission in the third arc. It lasts up to ten years, depending on the RNG and difficulty the player picks at the beginning of the game. I have a hard time in this game stage because how many enemies are coming depends on the RNG.
The larger the enemy, the harder you can defeat the main city before the Gokuya Kingdom sue for peace. This stage of the arc has two outcomes. Defend until ten in-game years, or take the target city.
To all newbies, defending may seem the easiest because, as a defender, you have an advantage. However, this is a trap made by the Dev. The longer you take on winning this stage, the bigger and more powerful the next stage enemy will be.
I’m lucky that the South is not rebelling because, in the third arc, the enemy will focus on destroying Shadowfall City. In the game, this city becomes a key city that is very valuable in this stage.
Every soldier stationed in this city will get a buff of 50% DEF and an ATK increase. Also, any soldier hired from this place will get an armor bonus.
This is the reason why I know that Gwyn and his people will hold their ground against the enemy. However, I also know that the North will not help them like in the game. In the game, the third arc will have the entire army of the Gipan Kingdom defend against the invader.
Now? They are on their own.
They can hold, but I don’t think they can win. Not without help from the North. Jonathan said that the chances of the North helping are low, at least not all of them. They will mobilize their army not to the South but to defend their border.
I look out of my carriage and wonder how to help the South. I blink for a few seconds as an idea gets inside my head. I quickly take out a paper and start writing. I have some mercenaries to hire.
Mercenary is a system in the game to help the player in a hard fight. Twelve mercenary groups are in the game, but only three are reliable. The rest of the group is unreliable, as they often retreat when facing a bigger army.
The first one is called the Silver Wolf. They are a group of people from the Western continent, and they are the most aggressive mercenary in the game. Once you deploy them, they will always go forward and attack the enemy. They will never retreat. They are a bit unreliable, but their prowess compensates for that.
The second one is the Paladin Without Banner. A group of exiled paladins from the Northern continent. They are the most defensive unit in the game. Their main power is their equipment. They have high-tier equipment for all their members, and they have spells that heal their allies. They will retreat, but most of the time, they retreat when most of their members are dead.
The third one is the Sword Brotherhood. This is the largest army you can hire. They have three units instead of one like the other two. Not only are they large in number, but they also have a balance between ATK and DEF. Lastly, they also have high morale, which means they are not easily retreating from battle.
I only know one mercenary group that should still be available early in the game timeline. The Silver Wolf. What makes it great is that their headquarters are located near my home. It will cost me quite a lot of money, but it was Jon’s money, so I don’t mind.

|3rd POV|
Alexander Gerrion Cunnigham looks at the plains in front of him with a frown. He did not like war, but war always came to him one way or another. In his lifetime, he has been to war three times. All three of them were against the Gokuya kingdom.
It was not an official war, but a fight between a thousand people was a war to him.
People think he likes war because of his talent, but they are wrong. He prefers a slow life with his family but knows he will not get that life. He already gives up thinking of slow life and makes sure that his free time is spent with his family.
He snaps from his thoughts when he hears the sound of a bell coming from the tallest tower in this fortress. The Dragon’s Tooth Fortress is the biggest fortress between the Gokuya and Gipan Kingdom.
It stands on the edge of the Nitra Plain, the only safe zone between the two kingdoms. It is a long plain that connects the two kingdoms.
"My lord! They are coming!"
The soldier offers the telescope and lets Alexander look into the distance. He cannot see the army just yet, but he can see the dust cloud in the distance. That only means one thing: the enemy has arrived.
Alexander takes a deep breath, returns the telescope, and puts on his helmet.
"Prepare for battle! Archer! Get ready! Mage, prepare!"
