I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 146: End of the Desert Cavern Dungeon
"A week. It will take us a week to arrive here finally."
I said while looking at the massive iron door in front of us.
It takes us seven days of constant fighting to arrive on the last floor of the dungeon and arrive in front of the boss’ room. We all have grown from the fight, but my companion has grown the most.
They are calmer in case a surprise attack appears, or a new type of monster comes at us. The archers also know how to take care of themselves when a group of monsters manage to slip off my attention or when I’m busy.
They can use their sword and dagger to kill them together before they focus on the monsters far away from them.
Jul-Tan and Quentyn are also getting more fluid while fighting together with us. They did not need me constantly ordering them around and already knew what to do in case something happened or when it was time for healing.
All in all, we have become a perfect party now. We fight and move as one and help each other when we are overwhelmed.
"Let’s end this mission and go back to the city."
I can see the others nod their heads, and I can see their eyes full of determination. I smile a little and open the door. Jullian and Jul-Tan take the lead while we follow them from behind. I created ten balls of lights to let us see what was inside the room.
I frown a little as we get deeper into the room. The more we walk, the more this place looks like a throne room.
And as we get deeper into the room, my thinking comes true. I can see a massive throne at the end of the room and a massive bipedal goat monster sitting in the throne room waiting for us.
"Shit"
I look at Quentyn, who curses at the sight of the monster in front of us and says.
"What is it, Quentyn? What kind of monster is that?"
"That is [Baphomet], a demonic goat. That thing is a magic-type monster that can summon demonic creatures by creating a portal. Not only that, but that thing also uses a fire-based spell. It is a hard monster to fight not because of its durability or anything but because of how it constantly summons monsters to fight alongside it."
Summoner-type monster, huh? In Second Life, summoner-type monsters only appear as boss monsters like this one. They usually can summon a certain number of monsters to fight alongside them and can re-summon the monsters the players kill after a certain amount of time.
"Here it comes!"
I snap from my thoughts when Quentyn suddenly shouts. I can see [Baphomet] raise the dark-purple orb in its hand, and suddenly, twelve portals appear around him and twelve creatures coming out of the portal.
"The first wave! Minotaurs! Their weak point is their necks! Aim at it, and you will deal good damage as their neck is not as thick as the rest of their body!"
"Good information, Quentyn! Aim for the neck if you can! Aim at the body if you can’t! I will make sure to hinder their movement! [Iron Thorn]! [Curse of the Forest]! [Comet Blessing]! [Uranus]!"
I quickly cast many spells at once to buff my allies and debuff the enemies. [Curse of the Forest] is a debuff spell that reduces the enemies’ movement speed and attack. [Comet Blessing] is a buff spell that increases my allies’ movement speed and attack speed. [Uranus] is a debuff and buff spell that decreases the enemy’s physical attack the more my allies attack the debuffed enemies and also boosts their physical stats the more they attack.
"Take care of the monster! I will be the one taking care of the boss! Quentyn! Tell me more about this [Baphomet]. What is its weakness? What is its power?"
Quentyn looks at me for a second, hesitating to say something, and I know the reason why. I’m a healer, after all. A healer fighting a boss monster is not something you see every day.
"Trust young master Gwyndolin. He is stronger than he let you know."
Quentyn looks at Jullian and nods.
"[Baphomet] is immune to all fire attacks and has high resistance to lightning. It has a huge weakness to any ice attack, and water comes second. If you can destroy the crystal in its hand, you will stop its summoning, but it also boosts its overall health, defense, and magical attack."
So, like a second stage that many boss monsters have, huh? However, it is triggered not by HP but by destroying the orb, huh?
"So, kill the monster without destroying the orb, huh?"
"No! If the monster reaches a certain damage point, it will use all the power of the orbs to summon the rest of the monster it can summon. Usually, there are three stages of monster waves. The first is Minotaurs, the second is Chimeras, and the last is a Dragon."
"Got it."
I nod and take out my best weapon. I take my best Starglobe and throw seven cards at the goat monster. I cast the [Fly] spell and fly to the goat monster. I keep throwing the seven cards at the goat monster, and when I arrive in front of it, I cast another spell, aiming at the orb in its hand.
"[Starlight]!"
I focus all the laser beams on the orb in the goat-man’s hand.
"Tch"
I click my tongue when I see a barrier blocking my spell. It looks like I cannot use the low-level attacking spells. I nod and prepare another attack, but before I can do that, [Baphomet] creates twenty magic circles and releases a fireball stream toward me.
"[Rainbow Bridge]! [Lance of Light]!"
A colorful rainbow appears in front of me and blocks all the fireballs flying toward me, and I create a two-meter-long lance made of light before throwing it at the orb in [Baphomet]’s hand. I smile a little when the barrier around the orbs starts to crack, and I decide to continue to attack.
"[Hellish Root]! [Starlight]!"
Seven black tree roots appear from the ground and snare the goat-man. The roots pull the goat-man to the ground, and I fire more light beams at the orbs. I frown a little when the goat-man can still cast spells to block my attack.
"[Achernar]!"
A small ball of light appears above me. The ball of light releases a bright light before suddenly shooting out a thin beam of light that flies at the orbs, and when it hits the target, it explodes. I shield my eyes, but I can see the Minotaurs that are fighting behind me disappear, which means the orbs are gone.
When the dust disappears, I can see the goat-man glowing in red, and a massive magic circle appears above it. I can feel a massive amount of chaotic energy build up inside the magic circle.
"Oh, no! You don’t!"
I let my starglobe float into the air and take out my highest [Druid]’s staff out of my pocket dimension. I twirl it and cast a spell.
"[Nature Sanctuary]!"
A small forest appears around us, and just in time to block a massive explosion that happens a few seconds after I cast my spell. The entire forest shakes at the massive explosion, and when the dust disappears, the forest disappears after blocking the attack, and I can see the goat-man floating into the air with a new feature appearing on its body.
The first one is that it gets another pair of arms and horns. I can feel that things absorb chaotic energy at a very high rate. It looks like I need to end this fight before it releases another massive attack.
"[Blessing of Stars]! [Gaia’s Warrior]! [Demeter’s Chosen]! [Solar Flare]!"
I cast three buff spells and a high-level attacking spell at the same time. [Blessing of Stars] is a buff that doubles one attacking spell damage I cast for the next five seconds. [Gaia’s Warrior] increases my physical and magical attack stats, a straightforward buff. [Demeter’s Chosen] is another buff that increases my magical attack and defense.
Lastly, [Solar Flare] is a high-ranking AOE attacking spell that targets a large number of monsters.
I can see my Starglobe spin above me, become a mini sun, and release a pulse of energy. The energy travels through the throne room and hits the [Baphomet]. Once that energy hit the goat-man, the monster set ablaze, and after a few seconds of struggling, it turned into ashes.
I keep on high alert for a few seconds, and when there is nothing, I nod and slowly land on the ground.
When I land, Quentyn starts to roar, and the others follow his example. I smile a little and let them be. After a few seconds, I decided to interrupt them.
"Alright, people! The mission is not done yet! We need to destroy the core! Come on!"
The others nod and start searching the room. After a few seconds, we find the core. The black orb’s core is releasing a foul stench floating behind the throne.
"How do we destroy this?"
Quentyn looks at me and says.
"A powerful strike will do."
I nod and look at Jullian.
"Do you want to do the honor?"
"With pleasure, young master!"
Jullian takes out his sword and swings it at the orb. His sword cleanly cuts the orb into two, and the entire dungeon starts to shake.
"We need to get out of here. The entire dungeon will collapse!"
I did not waste more time and took out a [Mass Fly] scroll. I tear it apart, and all of us start to fly. At first, Quentyn and Jul-Tan did not know what to do, but after a few seconds, they managed to do it and follow us.
After five minutes of flying, we managed to get out of the dungeon and land in front of the cavern. I look at the cavern and see a crack in reality before it turns back into a normal cavern. The only difference is that I can see the end of the cavern instead of an endless darkness.
I release a sigh and say.
"We did it. Let’s get back home."
