I Transmigrated as a Villainess to Raise Babies, and My Beast Husbands Are Fighting Madly Over Me!-Chapter 121: He Was Licking You Just Now
The Mutant Beasts didn’t enter the water. Instead, they chased them along the riverbank.
In the water, Qiao Xixi held her three cubs tightly, terrified they’d be swept away by the raging current.
"Hold on to Mother tightly."
Seeing they couldn’t catch them in the water, the Mutant Beasts on both banks began to frantically rush ahead, knocking down trees to block their path.
Huge trees crashed down one after another, instantly blocking more than half of the already narrow river.
Some Mutant Beasts had already leaped onto the fallen tree trunks, lying in wait to snatch Qiao Xixi and her children as they passed.
Of her three cubs, Qiao Lie was the best swimmer. He could stay submerged for long periods.
"Qiao Lie, listen to me. Take the Crystal Stones I gave you earlier. I want you to dive underwater and swim toward the bank. But whatever you do, don’t rush to get out. Do you understand?"
Upon hearing her words, Qiao Lie’s small, tense face instantly turned pale.
"No, I don’t want to leave you!"
Qiao Xixi held him tight, her heart in turmoil, but the situation forced her to make a choice.
"The Mutant Beasts will keep chasing me, so they’ll have a hard time spotting you. Hide yourself well and don’t come out too soon. Now go!"
Steeling herself, Qiao Xixi pulled Qiao Lie away from her, then grabbed a handful of Crystal Stones from her dimensional space and stuffed them into his hand.
When Qiao Lie didn’t move, Qiao Xixi grew frantic.
"Qiao Lie, do as I say!"
Qiao Lie clenched his fists, the rims of his eyes suddenly turning red. Under Qiao Xixi’s gaze, he slipped beneath the water’s surface.
The water would mask his scent, and the Mutant Beasts chasing along the bank would never notice the little snake hidden below.
As the barrier of fallen logs drew closer, Qiao Xixi took a deep breath and dove underwater as well, hoping to swim beneath it.
When the Mutant Beasts realized Qiao Xixi and the others had vanished, they roared in fury, frantically knocking down more massive trees further downriver.
A tree came crashing down toward the river, striking Qiao Xixi just as she surfaced for a breath.
Enduring the searing pain, Qiao Xixi gasped, "Qiao Ang, Qiaoqiao, hold on to Mother!"
"Mother!"
As they neared the mouth of the river, the Mutant Beasts finally lost their patience and leaped into the water in pursuit.
Qiao Xixi glanced back at the pursuing beasts and quickened her pace, but she failed to notice the waterfall just ahead.
Feiyan, who had been tracking their scent, finally caught up. Seeing Qiao Xixi and the cubs about to plunge over the edge, he let out a roar.
"Qiao Xixi, look out!"
Qiao Xixi turned to look, and in the next instant, she and her cubs were sent tumbling over the edge, plummeting downward.
’Shit! Yao, get me out of here!’
With the violent impact of the water, Qiao Xixi lost consciousness completely.
"Qiao Xixi... Qiao Xixi, wake up... Qiao Xixi."
Qiao Xixi’s entire body ached as if every bone had been shattered. She tried to open her eyes, but her eyelids felt impossibly heavy; no matter how hard she tried, they wouldn’t budge.
Feiyan moved the unconscious cubs to the side of the cave. Once he confirmed they were mostly unharmed, he turned and walked over to Qiao Xixi.
Her snow-white hide tunic was stained red with blood. The eyes that always seemed to shimmer with light whenever they looked at him were now squeezed shut.
"Qiao Xixi? Qiao Xixi?"
Feiyan called her name several times, but Qiao Xixi showed no sign of waking.
He looked at her hide tunic. There had to be a wound underneath. After a moment of hesitation, Feiyan carefully untied her tunic and gently pulled it off.
Crystal water droplets rolled across her lustrous skin. He must have accidentally brushed against her wound, because Qiao Xixi let out a muffled groan of pain.
Startled, Feiyan immediately froze. ’I was being as gentle as I could,’ he muttered to himself. ’Little females are so fragile.’
Feiyan frowned, muttering to himself, but his movements became even gentler.
With the tunic off, Feiyan saw a long gash on Qiao Xixi’s back, stretching from her shoulder blade all the way to her waist. It must have been caused by a sharp branch.
Feiyan’s brow furrowed. ’Such delicate skin... a wound this large must be incredibly painful.’
He suddenly felt his earlier actions had been far too rough.
The wound was still oozing blood, but he couldn’t go out to find medicinal herbs; he didn’t feel safe leaving them here alone.
Frowning, Feiyan hesitated for only a moment before deciding to treat Qiao Xixi’s wound himself.
He slowly leaned closer to the wound. The thought of what he was about to do made his entire body tremble uncontrollably.
But he quickly composed himself.
’I’m doing this to heal her,’ he told himself. ’There are absolutely no other intentions.’
Having steeled his resolve, Feiyan extended his tongue and began to lap at the wound, little by little.
The instant the tip of his tongue touched her skin, the cool yet soft sensation sent his heart pounding like a war drum.
The feeling on her wound was so painful that Qiao Xixi let out a soft whimper, her body trembling involuntarily.
Sensing her reaction, Feiyan’s heart beat even faster, and the tips of his ears flushed red.
"J-just bear with it," he stammered. "It’ll be over soon."
Feiyan took a deep breath and continued to clean the wound for her, little by little.
As his warm lips gently pressed against her shoulder, Feiyan’s throat bobbed, and his breathing grew ragged. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
He squeezed his eyes shut. ’I’m treating a wound! A wound! Just treating a wound!’
His lips moved down the length of the injury, sucking out all the clotted blood and spitting it aside.
’Just one last bit.’
Feiyan suddenly felt a wave of reluctance. ’Is the wound really clean already?’
’Maybe... I should go over it one more time?’
"Can’t we find any food here?"
"I think so?"
"Then let’s hurry and stop Father, or he’s going to eat Mother!"
Feiyan’s brow twitched. He looked up to see the two cubs staring at him with wide, pleading eyes.
No, not pleading. They were staring at him accusingly.
Qiaoqiao puffed out her cheeks, disgruntled. "Father, how could you eat Mother! You’re worse than a beast! You’re horrible!"
Feiyan froze.
Qiao Ang scrambled to his feet, planting his hands on his hips. "If-if you’re really that hungry, th-then eat me! You can’t eat Mother!"
Feiyan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
"I wasn’t trying to eat—"
"You’re lying to us cubs! We just saw you licking Mother all over, just like how big brother licks a roasted beast leg!"
"Yeah! You lick and lick the tasty parts, and then you eat it!"
Feiyan was speechless.
"Your mother is injured. I was just treating her wound. If you don’t believe me, take a look."
The two cubs walked over to Qiao Xixi. When they saw the wound on her back, they were heartbroken.
"That’s horrible! You sucked all of Mother’s blood out! WAAAH..."
Feiyan: "..."
’My son isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, is he...’ he thought.
"I’ll heal Mother."
Qiaoqiao anxiously grabbed Qiao Xixi’s hand. A halo of light gradually enveloped Qiao Xixi’s body, and as it faded, Qiao Xixi suddenly felt her eyelids grow much lighter.
Her long, feathery lashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes.
"Qiaoqiao..."
"Mother, are you okay?"
"Mother’s fine."
Qiao Xixi realized she was lying facedown. Just as she tried to sit up, she heard Qiao Ang say indignantly,
"Mother, Father was licking you just now! I thought he was going to eat you! It scared me to death."
