She glanced back just in time to see a Mutant Beast pounce on Gu Man.
"Gu Man, look out!"
Qiao Xixi whipped out the Dull Liquid and sprayed it. The Mutant Beast’s movements suddenly slowed to a crawl.
Gu Man scrambled to her feet, her heart still pounding with fear.
"Which way should we go?"
"Do you know where to find water? We should follow a water source. That way, even if we get separated, we’ll have a chance of survival."
"I know a place. It’s that way."
Gu Man led Qiao Xixi and her children down the mountain, but more and more Mutant Beasts were closing in from behind.
