Chapter 262: Vulture Organization

Qiu Tong retrieved her USB drive and used the excuse that Qiu Xingyu needed to go to the hospital to leave the Liqing Corporation earlier.

In the corner of the parking lot, countless cigarette butts were piled on the ground. When Jin Yang saw Qiu Tong, he instantly rushed over and hugged her tightly. Qiu Tong smelled the strong tobacco smell on his body. She patted his broad back gently. “Loosen up a little. I can’t breathe!”

Jin Yang slowly tightened his grip, as if he wanted to melt into her. “It’s good that you’re fine.”

Shao An held Qiu Xingyu’s hand and stood nearby. He had the courage to tease Jin Yang.

“Miss Qiu, you have no idea. The President kept asking me for the time and whether there is a signal every two minutes. If you were just a little later, he would have barged in with the armed forces!”

Qiu Tong’s eyes widened in surprise as she got into the vehicle with Jin Yang and drove towards the villa. “You’re not the ones who caused the commotion to help us escape?”

Shao An, who was in the front passenger seat, waved his hand. He pointed at the walkie-talkie and informed all the guards to leave the designated location and move deeper into the forest.

“All the squads are lying in ambush at the designated locations. There were no guards who acted on their own.”

Jin Yang held her hand tightly and asked about what had happened at the Liqing Corporation.

As Qiu Tong described what happened, silence fell in the vehicle. Shao An couldn’t help holding his breath in worry.

If it were him, he wouldn’t have been able to complete the mission as calmly as Qiu Tong had. Jin Yang stared at her with a dark expression. “Don’t go to the Liqing Corporation again!”

Jin Yang couldn’t take such a major risk.

Qiu Tong’s lips curled into a comforting smile. She leaned her head gently against Jin Yang’s shoulder and gradually fell asleep.

At the villa, Qiu Tong and Jin Yang crowded in front of the computer as they seriously analyzed the information on the Liqing Corporation’s network.

Ke Le and the mercenaries looked over curiously. When they saw the special pattern on the screen, they said in surprise, “This is the totem symbol of the terrorist organization, Vulture. When we were doing missions on the Dark Web, we once ran into the ex-Vulture soldiers. They’re all vicious guys!”

“I heard that every of the Vulture soldiers will have this totem tattooed on them. It’s used to determine their identity.”

Ke Le’s words made Qiu Tong very anxious. She asked, “Do you know who the founder or boss of Vulture is?”

The mercenaries shook their heads in confusion. Ke Le scratched his head foolishly and said in an apologetic voice, “Boss, Vulture soldiers are people in desperate situations. We have little interaction with them. We only heard that Vulture was founded ten years ago and has a huge influence. Their boss is very mysterious. Only a few of Vulture’s higher-ups are in contact with him. The low-level soldiers don’t know anything about him…”

It seemed like Vulture was a very mysterious group. Qiu Tong could vaguely sense that there was definitely a hidden conspiracy.

Qiu Xingyu helped to sort out the information from the network. Jin Yang looked at the information regarding the human modification plan and couldn’t help frowning. He looked at Shao An solemnly. “The information here is even more detailed than what we have!”

Shao An looked embarrassed. The information they had obtained behind Jin Tao’s back was lacking.

Qiu Tong narrowed her eyes. She felt as if a huge net was approaching them, looming over their heads.

She stared at Jin Yang for a long time before finally choosing to trust the man in front of her. She asked, “What do you want to use the drug for?”

“To transform the army and start more wars? To create super strong human weapons?”

Faced with her questions, Jin Yang’s gaze did not waver at all. The contour of his face was firm and serious as he answered, “I yearn for peace. The original intention of the human modification plan was to optimize and improve humans, so that currently incurable diseases could be cured or prevented.”

“I’ve never thought of starting a war or violating the laws of nature.”

“Qiu Tong, I know you’re hiding something from me. If you’re unwilling to tell me, I won’t force you. But please believe me. We’re on the same side. We’re both working hard for the same goal.” ƒ𝑟𝙚e𝔀𝗲𝒃n𝒐𝘷𝗲Ɩ.c𝗼𝚖

Jin Yang looked at her lovingly and gently. Her clenched fists gradually relaxed, and her lips curled into a smile.

“The modification plan is probably related to my father. I want to get him out…”

“Perhaps he can help us answer our questions.”

Jin Yang had already guessed a little. He looked at Shao An, indicating for him to settle the matter, but Qiu Tong stopped them. “The Vulture Organization and those people who want to kidnap the children are all watching us from the shadows. Your actions will probably attract a lot of trouble. Leave this to me.”

“I’ll ask Yu Ge for the rest of my salary tomorrow and retrieve my father’s notebook.”

Jin Yang rejected her idea. He frowned and said coldly, “I can’t let you go to Liqing Corporation again.. Terrence is suspicious of you, he definitely won’t let you off so easily…”
