I Shall Cuck Everyone-Chapter 480: Finally Relocated
Three days after returning to Earth, I finally decided it was time to start moving our things back to the vampire planet.
Honestly, the delay wasn’t because the move was difficult. I just had a lot of random things to wrap up first. Once that was done, there was no reason to keep dragging it out.
So that morning, everyone gathered around the house and began packing their important stuff.
The warper stood open in the living room, humming quietly as usual. It made moving things ridiculously easy. All we had to do was toss whatever we packed into the transport crates and send them through.
Misty was busy stuffing clothes into a suitcase while Aurora carefully packed some of her books.
Jill and Lilith handled most of the kitchen stuff, arguing occasionally about what we should bring and what we should just leave behind.
"Elza, stop throwing things!" Jill suddenly snapped.
"I’m not throwing them," Elza replied casually, tossing another box toward the crate. "I’m relocating them."
The box landed with a thud.
Jill pinched the bridge of her nose.
Sigh...
Across the room, Zamira and Zella were sorting through decorations and random items we had collected over time.
"You really want to bring this?" Zella asked, holding up some weird crystal statue.
Zamira shrugged. "Jake bought it, didn’t he?"
I looked over. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"I honestly don’t remember buying that."
"Well, now it’s coming with us," Zamira said, dropping it into a box.
Meanwhile, Zagrath had just joined us and was helping move the heavier crates. She worked fast, lifting two heavy crates at once and carried them straight to the warper.
The whole house gradually started looking emptier as things disappeared into crates and got sent through the warper one after another.
Meanwhile, Vera was already on the vampire planet.
She stayed behind in our new residence to supervise things there. More importantly, she was attending to Rona while also chatting with Hayes and Anne.
Both of them were heavily pregnant at this point, so they weren’t exactly in the best shape to help with moving boxes.
From what Vera told me earlier, they mostly spent their time resting and gossiping.
Back in the house, the packing continued.
Aurora suddenly walked up to me with a small box.
"Jake, where should this go?"
I opened it and saw a bunch of old devices and random gadgets inside.
"Honestly, just send it through."
She nodded and carried it off.
A few hours passed like that.
Before I even realized it, the house was almost empty.
Misty wiped her hands and looked around.
"Well... that was faster than I expected."
"Yeah," I said, glancing around the bare living room.
Most of the furniture was already gone.
The only things left were a few chairs and some miscellaneous stuff we planned to deal with later.
Zagrath dropped the last crate into the warper.
"That should be everything."
I checked the list quickly.
"Looks like it."
Not bad. Only a few hours and the job was basically done.
The others went through the warper shortly afterward to start settling things on the other side.
I stayed behind for a bit.
There were still some matters I needed to handle on Earth before leaving for good.
First, I gathered all the workers who had been helping manage the estate.
They lined up in the courtyard while I stood in front of them.
"These past months, you’ve all done good work," I told them. "Since I’m leaving this place behind, I’ll be settling everything today."
They exchanged curious looks. I handed each of them a payment slip that when scanned, the money would hit their accounts.
Their eyes widened as they checked the balances.
"H-Holy—"
"Is this real?"
One of them looked like he might faint.
I shrugged.
"Consider it a gift from me."
The amount was huge. Honestly, it was more money than most of them would earn in several years.
Naturally, none of them complained. They thanked me repeatedly before leaving.
Soon the courtyard became quiet again.
Only one person remained.
Liam stood nearby with his usual calm expression.
He was my loyal butler, the only worker I trusted because he literally has a blood pact with me.
"Looks like it’s just you now," I said.
Liam bowed slightly.
"I will continue to serve you wherever you go, Master."
That was pretty much what I expected him to say.
After that, I contacted a realtor.
The guy arrived surprisingly fast.
He stepped inside the empty house and immediately started looking around with sparkling eyes.
"This property is incredible," he said.
"I’m planning to sell it," I told him.
He practically lit up.
"Sell it? Sir, this place could easily go for fifty million universal credits!"
I raised an eyebrow.
"Really?"
"Absolutely! The location alone is extremely valuable. I can find a buyer in no time."
He sounded almost too excited.
"Well," I said, "then I’ll leave it to you."
We finalized some preliminary paperwork before he left.
Another thing crossed off the list.
Not long after that, Liam and I stepped through the warper.
The familiar shift in space passed for a moment before we arrived on the vampire planet.
Our new residence stood even larger than the Earth mansion because I had it renovated to be much bigger than before.
There were new sets of vampire maids and butlers everywhere, ones that aren’t corrupted by the human environment like the ones back on Earth.
Seriously, there were tons of them.
They moved around efficiently, carrying boxes and arranging furniture.
Even though we had already moved most of our things, everyone still tried to arrange one or two things here and there.
Misty adjusted a painting. Aurora reorganized a bookshelf. Lilith inspected the kitchen like a general surveying her troops.
But the pressure was gone.
The maids handled most of the work.
I walked through the hall with Liam beside me.
"So," I said, glancing at him. "You’ll continue as the chief butler here."
Liam immediately bowed.
"It would be my honor, Master."
Several vampire servants nearby also bowed slightly when they heard that.
Looks like the chain of command was already forming.
Good.
One less thing for me to worry about.
I wandered through the residence for a while, checking how things were progressing.
Everything looked fine. Eventually I stepped outside into the garden area. That’s when I noticed a familiar figure.
Old man Duke sat at a small outdoor table with a bottle of beer in his hand.
Across from him sat my daughter, Xander.
She was laughing while Duke made some ridiculous faces at her.
Honestly... it was a strange sight.
A former tyrant king stubborn old man now entertaining a kid.
I leaned against the railing for a moment and watched them.
Even though Duke made plenty of mistakes in his prime, the old man had definitely changed with age.
Life had a funny way of doing that.
Xander clapped her hands while Duke pretended to lose a thumb in some cheap magic trick.
She giggled like it was the greatest thing ever.
Duke suddenly noticed me standing there.
"Oi, Jake!"
He raised the beer bottle and waved.
"Get over here!"
I walked closer.
"You’re drinking already?" I asked.
"Of course," he said shamelessly. "Moving day deserves a drink."
You didn’t even do anything, old geezer. I cursed inwardly.
He grabbed another bottle from the table and set it down in front of the empty chair.
"Sit. Have a beer."
I chuckled.
Some things never change.
My grandfather would probably never give up beer even if the universe collapsed around him. I should also tell him not to drink beer in front of Xander.
I pulled the chair out slowly.
Well...
Might as well see what nonsense the old man wanted to talk about this time.
