I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!-Chapter 69: The Arrogant Golden Bastard
"Haa?!" Raiden turned around to see which bastard was speaking so rudely to him, only to be almost blinded by him.
Glittering and Shining Golden Fatty. That’s the only way he could describe it.
In front of him stood not a person, but a walking exhibition of jewellery.
From head to toe, he was wearing golden earrings, a tiara, a nose ring, multiple gold chains, bracelets, rings with all kinds of stones, and even more dazzling golden pants. And when he said golden pants, it was not gold coloured pants. The pants looked like they were made of real gold. Finished off with golden shoes. With his round body and golden hair, the man looked like a fat golden dwarf.
Raiden felt like if he kidnapped this person and sold him off, he could literally pay off all his debts. Just looking at him, Raiden lost all his anger in a second. Instead, he started to feel pity for this mentally challenged guy.
"Who is this golden snowflake?" He asked Morgana, who had a look of disgust on her face.
"Who are you calling snowflake, you worthless, poor bastard?! Also, who gave you permission to be in the divine presence of my beautiful Morgana?? I will kill you and scatter your ashes in a gutter somewhere." The man screamed like a horse pig, disgusting Raiden even further.
But before Raiden could say anything, Morgana burst into action, disappearing from her place and appearing in front of that fatty as she grabbed his hair and picked him up from it.
"How many times must I tell you, I am not your disgusting fatty. And if you ever bother me again—" She directly grabbed him by the balls and twisted hard with her other hand, inducing a horror-worthy scream that almost burst the eardrums of anyone standing near them.
"I will cut off your family jewels, and make you sure never be able to walk again. Un. Der. Stood?" The fatty whimpered and nodded his head frantically in pain while crying, as he felt too afraid to say anything further.
"Good. Now get out of my sight!!" She threw him to the side like trash as she started walking back towards Raiden.
Before she could walk very far, though, she found her way blocked by another person who looked at her coldly.
With golden locks and a chiselled face that would make fans scream, the man wore a Brocade Suit with detailed golden work on it, creating an image of a vivid three-eyed lion. Standing at 6 feet and 5 inches, the man looked even taller than Isadora, the tallest person Raiden had ever seen.
"You think you can just walk away after insulting my little brother like that? Aren’t you thinking too low of my Goldwyn Clan?" The man narrowed his eyes as pressure started to roll off his body in waves.
"Heh, and you think just insult the dignity of someone of my Solaris Clan, and I will let them go scot-free? Do you think we are easy to provoke?" Morgana countered with the pressure of her own as she glared back at the golden bastard without fear.
"Then, let’s settle it here once and for all." The man said.
"I couldn’t have put it better myself!"
"Cinder!!"
"Rex!!"
Both of them commanded simultaneously as they lunged at each other.
On the other side, Cinder, who was resting, flew straight at her partner, only to get intercepted by a massive being.
A three-eyed golden lion lunged into Cinder’s path, its muscular frame standing a head taller than the phoenix. Though still a young beast, the lion possessed a heavy, solid grace; its fur shimmering like metallic gold that seemed to catch and amplify the sun’s rays.
A thick, downy mane began to sprout around its neck, glowing with a soft, internal radiance that pulsed in time with its breathing. But its most striking feature was the vertical slit centred on its forehead. As it blocked Cinder, the third eye snapped open, producing a brilliant, pupilless orb of liquid light.
Waves of warm, blinding energy rolled off its pelt, making the air around it vibrate. Unlike Cinder’s volatile heat, Rex’s power felt dense and inescapable, like being caught in the focused glare of a magnifying glass. With a low, resonant growl that vibrated through the floor, the cub planted its heavy paws, its golden body casting a long, intimidating shadow that dared the phoenix to try and pass.
"Chirrp!~" Cinder wasn’t the one to back down though, as her whole body covered itself in intense flames, diving straight at the golden lion, who met the attack head-on with deadly paws.
On the other side, both Morgana and that arrogant golden bastard started to exchange blows, attacking each other with ferocity.
Morgana, who thought she would have an upper hand in the fight after her training, found herself losing ground rapidly.
She went from actively attacking to defending passively as she blocked his attacks that seemed to be increasing in power.
In her concentration, she failed to see a straight punch coming, which broke past her guard, drawing closer and closer to her face.
Just as she closed her eyes and braced for pain, nothing happened at all.
She opened her eyes only to find herself facing a broad back, shielding her and giving her a strange sense of safety.
"Didn’t your mother ever teach you not to hit girls?~ Pick on someone of your own size, you golden-haired bastard. Right Woolie?" Raiden called out as he easily caught this man’s wrist in his hand.
"Woolie!" You dare to bully Emperor Woolie’s little sister while I am here. Have you asked me for permission first?
At some point in time, Woolie had appeared between Cinder and the golden lion, his body flashing with violet lightning as he stopped the lion’s attacks in their tracks and radiated so much pressure that the three-eyed lion backed away in fear instinctively.
"Who do you think you are, interfering in the duel between us?" The man narrowed his eyes as he tried to pull his hand back from Raiden’s grip, only to find it stuck.
Feeling this, a grim expression appeared on his face as he glared at him openly.
"Me? I am your real father, you golden-haired bastard. Didn’t your mom ever tell you about me?" Raiden smirked as he countered, as both of them started radiating some kind of aura.
"My dear guests!! Please stop your fight at once!! This is not the venue for your fights. If you do want to continue, please do so tomorrow in the arena. If you insist on continuing to fight, I will have no choice but to disqualify you all from the tournament."
An old butler wearing the hotel staff uniform spoke as he appeared to the side.
Hearing this, Raiden simply let that man’s hand go, raising both hands in the sky to show his harmlessness.
"I am sorry, man, it’s just that this worthless young master was lacking in manners and I was educating him a little."
"You!!" Hearing the repeated insults, the young man started heaving in anger as he glared at Raiden with malice.
"Do you dare to tell me your name?!"
"Why wouldn’t I dare?? Listen carefully. My name is—"
"Leon!! From Verdant Hollow. I dare you to take revenge on me if you dare. My dad has the biggest fist in the city." Raiden spoke with righteousness. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Ignoring the weird look on Morgana’s face, the man glared at Raiden as if committing his name and face to his memory.
"Good. Very good, Leon from Verdant Hollow. My name is Kael Goldwyn. Commit this name to your memory, as it’s the name of the person who will destroy you and your family that you are so proud of." With a final glare, the man walked off with his Terra Beast, who kept glaring at Woolie and felt embarrassed due to being scared of a small sheep.
As soon as that man disappeared on the corner, an old man in a classic butler outfit approached his side while bowing.
"Young Master. What are your instructions?"
"Leon from Verdant Hollow. Find out everything about him and his family. You know what, scratch that. I want to destroy the whole family and all their business in Verdant Hollow. He dared to insult my family, so I want him to feel the despair of seeing his own family in shambles when he goes back home after losing to me in the tournament." Kael narrowed his eyes as he spoke, giving off a cold feeling.
"As you wish, young master, it’ll be done. They won’t survive more than two days." The butler bowed as he vanished from his side.
"Hehe. Leon...I wonder if you’ll like the gift I left for you."
Back on the other side, Morgana looked at Raiden’s face like he grew flowers on top of it.
"What is it? Never seen such a handsome person before?" Raiden asked shamelessly.
"No, I have just never seen such a shameless person before, ’Leon from Verdant Hollow.’"
Raiden brushed off her comment and continued to talk.
"I just saved you just now. Is this how you repay me?"
"Who told you I needed saving? I was doing just fine. But seeing how you stood up for me, I’ll reward you. Speak, what do you want?"
"How about giving yourself to me?" Raiden joked.
"Sure."
"Hahaha, I thought so, just give me—wait WHAT?!!"
"I said, sure, I will give myself to you, my dear ’Leon’."
Raiden found himself sweating bullets as he looked at Morgana, who had a sweet smile on her face.
