Chapter 446: Chapter 446: Promise

Felix Orwell drove around the commercial district with Evan Quinn.

Seeing that the latter had already calmed down, he slightly smiled, "Now that you’re feeling better, why don’t we go home and have dinner with Mom? But don’t forget the promise we made to each other before."

"Don’t worry, Uncle Felix, I will definitely keep my promise to you." Evan Quinn’s lips formed a faint smile, his pretty little face filled with determination.

No matter if it was for Mommy or Daddy, he wouldn’t say a word. He believed in Landon Lawson and trusted that he would handle this matter well, and eventually bring him and his mom back together.

Felix Orwell’s lips slowly curved up, forming a nice arc, as he gently ruffled Evan Quinn’s hair.

"We must be men who keep our promises."

"Of course."

Evan Quinn playfully shook his little fist.

Felix Orwell took out his phone and dialed Sienna Quinn’s number.

"I’ve picked up Evan Quinn. Where are you now? The two of us will come find you."

"I’m at the hospital now."

After leaving the police station, Sienna Quinn went to the hospital. Although Officer Leighton had rescued her earlier, she still had multiple scrapes on her body.

She only went to the hospital for some simple bandaging.

"Why are you at the hospital?"

Felix Orwell’s nerves immediately tensed up, and his charming face filled with concern.

Sienna Quinn gently pressed her lips together and briefly recounted the events that had just happened to Felix Orwell.

"Stay at the hospital and wait for me, don’t wander around."

Before Sienna could finish speaking, Felix Orwell hung up the phone and drove toward the hospital with Evan Quinn...

Sienna Quinn had already finished her bandaging and was sitting in the hospital lobby waiting for Felix Orwell. From afar, she saw the figures of a man and a child anxiously searching for her, and she smiled faintly, waving her small hand towards them.

Felix Orwell brought Evan Quinn over, frowning as he looked Sienna up and down.

"Why did you go to the police station alone? Why didn’t you tell me before?"

"What would it have changed if I told you? Could it have altered the outcome?"

Sienna Quinn shrugged nonchalantly, feeling no need to involve Felix Orwell even further, as the man had already helped her so much.

Sienna Quinn had handled these minor matters herself, not wanting to owe Felix Orwell too much...

Felix Orwell gently pressed his lips together, looking at Sienna’s distant demeanor, he sighed and sat down beside her: "Why do you always act like this? Aren’t we friends? Helping each other is only natural, and if anything happens to me in the future, won’t you help me?"

"Phooey! Don’t say such unlucky things, nothing will happen to you, you’re too good a person." Sienna quipped at Felix Orwell with a playful reproach.

Felix Orwell’s lips curved into a faint smile. "Since you know we’re friends, don’t be so polite in the future."

"Got it, I definitely won’t do it again."

Sienna shrugged with a cheerful smile, her beautiful little face showing a hint of a gentle smile.

Meanwhile, Evan Quinn looked sorrowful, gazing at Sienna’s wounds with a distressed look.

With a touch of heartache, he placed her hand in his palm, gently rubbing it.

"Mommy, how could you be so careless? Seeing you injured makes my heart ache."

"I understand, I will take better care of myself in the future."

Sienna gently smiled, her beautiful little face filled with joy, as she softly embraced Evan Quinn, though he squirmed away.

Pointing to the wound on her arm, he said.

"I want to teach you a lesson, I won’t let you hold me until you’re all better."

Even though his words were caring, they came with such stubbornness that Sienna tenderly rubbed his hair with a heartache.

"Your lesson really breaks my heart, don’t you know I can’t do without you?"

Seeing Sienna’s slightly aggrieved face, Evan suddenly cupped her face and gave her a firm kiss.

"So, Mommy, you must take good care to heal."

"I will make sure of it."

Felix Orwell watched the affectionate bond between mother and son, and warmth flickered in his eyes. Even though when he first learned about Sienna’s pregnancy, he had felt a bit of loneliness, over time, he found that he had completely fallen for Evan Quinn.

As long as he could be with Sienna, even becoming Evan’s stepfather wouldn’t matter to him.

However, Sienna wouldn’t even agree to such a small request...

Felix knew that feelings couldn’t be forced; otherwise, he wouldn’t have spent so many years pouring all his emotions into Sienna.

Even the family arranged blind dates for him, but back then, all he saw was Sienna.

How could he possibly accept anyone else?

"The hospital’s disinfectant smell is really overwhelming; I’ll take you both home now."

"Thank you so much."

Sienna happily said to Felix Orwell.

The three of them rode in Felix’s car back to the villa.

Finally home, Sienna leaned tiredly on the sofa, watching Evan who continued to fret over her. Curious, she asked, "Where did you go today?"

"I went to the IT company."

"What were you doing there?"

Sienna asked curiously, looking at Evan.

Felix Orwell, who was making coffee, suddenly trembled, not even noticing when the hot coffee spilled on the back of his hand.

Worried, he shifted his gaze to Evan, only to see the latter cheerfully say: "I’ve always liked computers, right? Since we’re about to return to France, of course, I want to learn as much as I can."

"You really don’t seem like a five-year-old at all."

Sienna chuckled lightly, her little treasure was truly precocious, so outstanding just like Landon Lawson in every way.

In Evan Quinn, she saw the shadow of Landon Lawson.

One thing Sienna never regretted in this life was choosing to give birth to Evan Quinn, who would accompany her for the rest of her life.

All the excellent traits from her and Landon Lawson had been passed on to Evan Quinn...

"I’ve made coffee for both of you, come and try it."

Felix Orwell, fearing that any more conversation would cause Evan to slip up, quickly interrupted them.

"Yay! Coffee time."
