I FOUND A DOOR TO TENSURA AND BECAME BROKEN IN THE REAL WORLD TOO-Chapter 82: The Cardinal World on the Brink of Armageddon
Chapter 82 - The Cardinal World on the Brink of Armageddon
The sky over Tempest was still a swirling maelstrom of chaos, but the fighting had slowed. It wasn't because the war was over—it was because everyone, from Tempest's soldiers to Rimuru's generals, and even the angels, had stopped to watch in awe.
The battlefield had fallen into a strange, haunting silence, broken only by the savage roars of my Abyssal Beasts as they devoured Zelanus' generals. The Insectar elite, who had once seemed like unstoppable calamities, were now nothing more than meat for my creatures to feast upon.
The ground quaked with every movement of the beasts as they ripped through the generals, their jaws drenched in corrosive ichor. The sky turned dark and heavy with their malevolent presence, and rivers of blackened blood flooded the land beneath them. Each of the Insectar generals' screams echoed with horrifying despair as they were consumed alive, their power being absorbed into my beasts, making them even stronger.
Above us, Velzard and Luminous, who had witnessed countless battles, stiffened slightly. Even with their immense strength, they couldn't help but feel a trace of fear watching my beasts' overwhelming savagery.
The sheer visceral carnage they displayed was on a level that even True Dragons and Demon Lords rarely witnessed.
Velzard's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched the monstrosities rip apart the Insectar. She turned toward me, her glacial blue eyes wide with a mixture of shock and curiosity.
"Yuuya... those things... what in the Abyss did you create?" she asked, her voice carrying an edge of nervous awe.
I gave her a wicked grin, my eyes gleaming with dark amusement.
"Heh... just a little something I've been keeping for special occasions."
Beside her, Luminous clutched my arm briefly, her eyes flickering with concern as she stared at the feral chaos below.
"Even I'm a little unsettled by your beasts, my love. It's like... they were born from pure nightmare," she whispered, her usually stoic voice tinged with unease.
I glanced at her, my eyes twinkling with mischief, and leaned in slightly.
"Don't worry, my sweet Luminous. They only devour my enemies. You, on the other hand..." I gently caressed her cheek, my lips hovering near hers, "...will always be safe in my arms."
She let out a soft breath, her eyes softening, and for a brief moment, she forgot the battlefield around us.
Far away, in the Eastern Empire, Rudra sat upon his ornate throne in his castle, his hands resting on the armrests, his fingers clenching slightly as he listened to the reports brought in by his spies.
The generals knelt before him, delivering the devastating news.
"My Emperor," one of the commanders began, his voice trembling slightly, "the angels are failing. Tempest has... monsters. They're destroying the angels like they are nothing more than insects."
Another general, barely concealing his dread, added:
"And... and it appears that the one they call Yuuya... he is unlike anything we've ever seen. Our spies say he commands beings that defy all logic—beasts capable of erasing Demon Lords. Even the True Dragons in Tempest appear cautious of him."
The chamber fell into a tense silence.
Rudra's golden eyes narrowed sharply, his face twisting into a snarl of fury. His hand slammed down on the armrest, the sheer force cracking the marble beneath his fingers.
"Damn that monster... so he really exists..." Rudra muttered, his eyes glinting with rage.
At his side, Velgrynd, her arms crossed, her expression cold and calculating, stared at the spies with indifference.
"So what? It doesn't matter how strong he is. Numbers will crush him," she said, her voice laced with arrogant confidence.
She turned toward Rudra, her eyes glowing fiercely.
"Use the angels as a diversion and send in our entire army. We'll overwhelm them with sheer force."
Rudra's fury melted into a twisted grin, the corrupted glimmer of Michael's influence flashing in his eyes.
"Yes... Yes! I'll use the angels to weaken their defenses. Then my soldiers will crush them beneath our boots!"
He stood up, his voice carrying unwavering authority, and raised his hand.
"Begin the march. Send in the full force of the Empire. Five million soldiers... send them all to Tempest!"
The generals bowed and immediately left the chamber to carry out the order.
Back in Tempest, as the last of Zelanus' generals were devoured by my beasts, I suddenly sensed a shift in the flow of energy across the world. I narrowed my eyes slightly and smiled.
"Heh... so the bastard finally made his move."
Velzard, noticing the change in my expression, turned toward me.
"What is it, Yuuya?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with concern.
I turned to Rimuru, who was floating nearby, watching the destruction of the last remnants of the Insectar generals. I descended beside him, the sound of crackling embers from the charred battlefield filling the air.
I placed a hand on his shoulder and said with a dark smile:
"The Eastern Empire is marching."
Rimuru's eyes widened slightly, but instead of panic, they glimmered with calm determination.
"So it's starting, huh? About damn time."
I chuckled softly.
"Oh, it's far from over, my friend. This battle is about to engulf the entire Cardinal World. The Empire isn't sending just their generals this time... they're bringing everything. Soldiers, warships, and machines. Armored vehicles, artillery, and tanks."
Rimuru's eyes narrowed slightly, and he glanced at Ciel in his mind.
("Ciel, prepare the entire Labyrinth for a full-scale war. Activate the highest-level defenses. And... alert my generals. This is going to be bigger than anything we've faced before.")
Ciel's voice echoed in his mind, calm and calculating.
<"Understood, Master. All systems are prepared for full deployment. War protocols activated.">
Before the full-scale war began, Luminous, her ruby eyes narrowing in concern, gently touched my arm.
"Yuuya... I have to return to Ruberios. My people could be in danger if the Empire strikes from another direction."
I gazed into her scarlet eyes and smiled softly, brushing her hair back from her face.
"Don't worry, my love... no one will ever touch your precious country."
Without another word, Velzard, Luminous, and I teleported to Ruberios, appearing in the heart of her kingdom. The land was still untouched by war, but I sensed the lurking danger on the horizon.
Without hesitation, I extended my hand and activated my Conqueror Sovereign, creating a colossal protective barrier that encased the entire kingdom. The barrier pulsed with abyssal and divine energy, making it impenetrable to all divine and demonic attacks.
Then, I summoned several of my Abyssal Beasts, each one towering with nightmarish power, and stationed them across Ruberios—some patrolling the skies and others guarding the borders, ready to destroy any threat.
Luminous' eyes widened as she saw the defense I had erected. She turned to me, her eyes filled with love and admiration.
"You truly are... my savior."
She wrapped her arms around me and kissed me deeply, her lips trembling slightly.
"Thank you, my love... for everything."
We returned to Tempest, where the battlefield stood still, waiting for the Empire's arrival. The real war was about to begin.
