When Arlon finished reading the forum, it was time for others to log in.

Since there were fun posts in the forum, he decided to check it more frequently.

He exited his room as if he just logged in, but he had the dragon, Nyx, with him.

Normally, he wanted to hide it, but it was impossible since Nyx couldn’t be put into the inventory and since it was a baby, he couldn’t leave it anywhere.

So, the moment he left his room and encountered the others, there was a shock and chaos.

The players immediately surrounded the baby dragon and she started to be passed from hand to hand.

The girls especially found it cute, so Arlon couldn’t get his pet back.

Well, he was okay with it since they would be taking care of her for him.

He said that when he logged in, the dragon egg was about to hatch, so she had just been born.

The others seemed to be relieved since otherwise it would mean that the egg hatched but had to wait for Arlon to log back in during the weekend.

The players also wanted to name her, but Arlon immediately said that he had already named her and that she was imprinted to him, so the owner couldn’t be changed.

Seeing Arlon lay claims to the dragon, the players started sneering. Read exclusive content at novelbuddy

Of course, Arlon had already gotten used to the creature, but there was an additional reason.

He didn’t believe a player apart from him would be a good owner for this dragon since they had to log out daily and weekly.

So, the dragon would need to stay alone during this time.

Of course, since everyone knew this wasn’t a game, they thought the same and even tried to convince Arlon to give her to a Trionian.

But Arlon, using the same excuse of imprint, claimed that it would be okay and he would handle her by trusting the creature to an NPC whenever he logged out until it was an adult.

Talking about the majestic dragon, they arrived in front of the inn for the last time.

Ben, the number one aide of Zephyrion, was there to meet them.

Ben’s standing was over everyone else not just because he was the number one aide, but also because he was the closest friend of Zephyrion.

He wasn’t a high-level Trionian, but he was almost as clever as Zephyrion, so Zephyrion liked to have him around.

He was sent for another mission as soon as he got back, so Nora was tasked with the job of taking care of the players.

But now that he was back, the rest of the process would be handled by him.

He greeted everyone, "Hello, everyone. Long time no see. I was getting bored out there alone while Miss Nora was having fun with you," he said with a sulking face.

Everyone showed a confused face since they didn’t think that they would receive such words.

"Ah! Anyway. Today, you will be moving to your rooms in Citadel and start your training. Lord Zephyrion should have already informed you about your schedule unless he was flirt- never mind."

We know what you were going to say! Thought everyone, but didn’t put it into words.

"Let’s move to the citadel first."

With these words, they headed for the citadel.

On their way, Ben once again explained the process:

"First of all, you will receive training in our special training grounds in Citadel. During this week, you won’t need to leave the Citadel, so please look around before you shut yourselves in."

They felt like they were under serious pressure since they spent almost three weeks doing nothing and it seemed like Ben was in the know of this information and jealous of it.

"During this time, you will receive training, but the real reason is to let you know how to train. We know that you are from a peaceful world and saviors don’t need to train. But we will show you things that you can train on. This way, you will get to be stronger without leveling up or gaining ’skills’."

Everyone nodded since this was something they knew. Even though they were mostly free, they had spent the last week meeting with important people they would spend time with.

Of course, Arlon wasn’t here for most of it since he was on a quest.

It also seemed like the information was widely known now since wherever they passed, everyone looked at Arlon with admiration.

He was the first savior to kill a Demon, a never-before-seen achievement.

But Arlon didn’t mind them since he needed to train for the future.

In the end, they arrived at the Citadel, learned their room, and left immediately. Since they didn’t have luggage, there wasn’t a need to spend time in the rooms.

Ben also checked the dragon while everyone was checking their rooms. He was interested in the creature, but he was obviously previously informed about it, probably by Zephyrion.

After they were done, they moved to the seventh floor of the Citadel.

This was, again, a half-floor room. But this time, it was filled with training equipment.

The room they were in was empty, though, since it wasn’t a training ground for everyone and those who could train here were working.

There were only a few Trionians on this floor who were going to be their trainers.

Since they had already met them, the greetings were short.

After that, they all moved to a corner of the room, Ben left them in the hand of one of the training coaches.

The coach was a gorilla Beastman, whose muscles seemed like they would tear out of any outfit he wore.

Still, he was wearing a white sports shirt which was too small for him.

"Welcome!" he roared. No, his voice was just high. "I already met all of you except this one," he said looking at Arlon.

"Ah, I am Arlon and this is Nyx," Arlon said, including Nyx in the introduction.

"Nice to meet you, I am Nova." The trainer didn’t mind the dragon. "As you know, we will spend the week together. But, I will not be training your muscles during the week, unfortunately."

For some reason, everyone gave a sight. They thought that it could be dangerous to train under him.

They didn’t know this, but Nova was Nora’s brother.

"Instead, I will be training your brains. So, let’s talk about abilities first." After saying that, he brought a blackboard from who knows where and started writing with unexpectedly neat penmanship.

"Now, some of you might know, but I will start from the beginning since I learned all about your skills.

In Trion, people are born with innate abilities. For example, each kind of Beastman has its own abilities.

An example is a tiger Beastman’s Claw Attack or a dog Beastman’s Bite Attack. They might seem easy, but they are innate abilities, which means they have been using them since they were born.

So, they can use these attacks as easily as you move your arm. So, don’t think of them as weak abilities.

Secondly, we have gained abilities depending on our chosen class. Of course, not everyone is fit for every class.

For example, while every Magus could be a mage thanks to their innate magic vessels, no Fhrem could ever receive a magic vessel in history."

He stopped for a second and scanned the groups to see if everyone had understood everything by then, and continued.

"I know that this is the same, or even worse, for the saviors. You can’t change your classes once chosen. Of course, it seems like everyone chose their respective class correctly.

Otherwise, you wouldn’t be brought here.

So, the class abilities are literally what it sounds like. If you are a warrior, you can learn class abilities, if you are a priest, you can learn priest abilities, and so on.

Now, let’s talk about your skills. Even though I am not a specialist in skills, I learned my fill to teach you.

Your skills are... useless!"

Everyone except Arlon, and Nyx who seemed like she didn’t care about anything in the world, showed a shocked face.

"Yes, you heard me right. Skills are useless and I can show that. Let me demonstrate. Which one of you have a Tackle skill here?"

Tackle was a common skill among warriors and Pierre had it. So, he raised his hand.

"Okay, come here and use it on me," said Nova.

Pierre didn’t hesitate and approached Nova. When he used his skill, Pierre’s hands moved toward Nova’s waist and neck.

But, after a few seconds of Pierre trying to move his hands, nothing happened to Nova.

"Let me tell you the things that were wrong with this. The issue isn’t that he couldn’t tackle me. It was obvious since the power difference between us.

The biggest issue was he tried for at least three seconds even though he couldn’t tackle me.

So, tell me, why did you try for three seconds?" Nova asked Pierre.
