I Can Only Cultivate In A Game-Chapter 403: Don’t Go Any Further!
Massive arms reached upward causing the water to churn violently but they were too late.
Gojo ascended rapidly, breaking through the cloud layer as shards of ice rained down behind them.
Victor glanced back once.
They had left the makeshift ocean in utter chaos with a massive abyss carved into the waters.
The titans roared in fury and confusion, watching Gojo disappearing into the distance carrying Victor and Eirene.
Victor finally let out a sigh.
"That... was too close."
Eirene looked at him silently with a look of awe while Gojo continued to climb, putting as much distance between them and those monstrous beings as possible.
Victor rested a hand against his chest, feeling his racing heart and depleted qi.
They had barely survived.
But Victor wondered about one thing... if that wasn’t the ocean, then... what was it?
One thing for sure is, wherever he was displaced to... was no ordinary place. Victor was sure he would have died hundred times over if he didn’t possess the Void Emperor Bloodline.
...
...
Long after Victor, Gojo, and Eirene had vanished into the skies, the shallow body of water—so deceptively ocean-like—continued to writhe and tremble. Waves clashed against one another without wind, spiraling unnaturally as if the sea itself were confused, wounded, and enraged.
The abysmal chasm Victor had carved remained.
A vast, circular void where water endlessly poured downward, vanishing into unknowable depths. No matter how much water rushed in from the surrounding area, the hole did not fill. It drank the sea greedily, an open scar upon reality.
Around it, the gargantuan Titans still thrashed.
Massive arms slammed against the surface, creating tidal surges that could swallow cities. Their single eyes burned with confusion, pain, and a primal sense of loss. Some roared endlessly toward the sky, while others wandered aimlessly, circling the abyss as though searching for something that should still be there.
Suddenly the air rippled as three figures descended from the sky.
Their arrival was so subtle that the water itself seemed to quiet in reverence.
They were humanoid in shape, roughly the size of humans, yet unmistakably inhuman.
Their bodies were slender and elegant, with elongated limbs and sharp, graceful features. Their skin was dark—neither black nor brown—but translucent, like smoked glass infused with faint starlight. Veins of soft luminescence throbbed beneath the surface, tracing alien patterns across their flesh.
Their eyes glowed completely white, void of pupils and sclera... 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Only pure, radiant light.
From their necks extended wings— membranous and ethereal, like sheets of mana folded into form. They fluttered gently, keeping the beings aloft without disturbing the air.
The moment they appeared, the Titans stopped.
Every single gargantuan being froze mid-motion.
One of the newcomers drifted downward and gently placed a hand atop the head of the nearest Titan.
The contrast was absurd.
A creature smaller than the Titan’s eye resting its palm against the colossal being’s skull.
The Titan rumbled softly.
Then—
It cooed, letting out a deep, resonant sound filled with affection and submission. The Titan lowered its head slightly, retreating its massive into the water. One by one, the others followed as their violent movements slowed and then ceasing entirely.
The shallow sea grew unnaturally still.
The three beings hovered above the devastation with their immense magical presence weighing upon the world like an invisible sky.
One of them who was taller than the others, with sharper facial features and a faint silver sheen to their wings, stared at the destruction in silence.
Their gaze lingered on the abyss.
On the empty spaces where Titans once stood.
Their aura darkened.
"Limo," the being said softly.
Then another name.
"Eiwrok."
A pause.
"Qon... Hiwa..."
Each name carried loss.
"...gone."
The voice was strange. It was neither feminine nor masculine... instead, it was layered with an echo that made it sound as though multiple tones spoke at once.
Their glowing eyes narrowed.
"Who," they continued, "would dare do this?"
It was unmistakable... These Titans were their pets.
One of the other beings chuckled lightly, drifting closer. This one had slightly curved horns sweeping back from their temples and a faint blue hue beneath their translucent skin.
"Does it matter?" they said casually. "Whatever did this... they won’t get far."
The third remained silent with arms crossed and their wings folded tightly against their neck. Their presence was the heaviest of the three, emitting a crushing pressure that distorted the mana around them. Golden sigils faintly rotated beneath their skin, as if engraved into their very being.
The first being turned slowly.
"I Seirath," their voice was now edged with cold fury. "Will make sure they pay."
The horned one smiled faintly. "As always, dramatic."
"Kheln... be silent... I shall not be provoked. I’m sure Vaelun wishes to rip them apart just as badly as I do," Seirath stated with a heavy tone.
The silent one finally spoke,
"Ripping them apart will be mercy. The second playground will be more suiting."
Kheln face immediately displayed an excited expression upon hearing this. "Brutal."
—
Far away from that cursed sea, Gojo’s massive form cut through the sky like a living storm.
An hour had passed since their escape.
Below them stretched a far more ordinary landscape—rolling hills, winding rivers, scattered forests, and distant mountain ranges that pierced the horizon. It was almost peaceful.
Too peaceful.
Victor stood atop Gojo’s back with his white garments fluttering violently in the wind.
Eirene remained seated near his side, unusually quiet. Her eyes occasionally drifting backward as though she could still feel the gaze of something monstrous watching them from afar.
Victor’s expression was grim.
"That wasn’t an ocean," he muttered.
He still didn’t understand what they had encountered.
A shallow sea with no life...
Titans masquerading as islands..
He didn’t understand but whatever that place was... he wanted no part of it.
"I’m not slipping into Ascendant Realms yet," Victor said quietly. "Not until I know we’re safe."
He sat down, crossed his legs, and closed his eyes.
He reached deep into his inner bank and activated Astral Projection.
His consciousness immediately lifted.
Victor’s astral form swept forward, racing across the land ahead faster than sound. He scanned the terrain meticulously.
To the far far east—
The sky fractured.
Spiky clouds churned endlessly, firing bolts of multicolored lightning into the land below. Magical storms clashed with one another, twisting the air into violent spirals. Even from a distance, Victor could sense the instability.
"That’s suicide," he muttered.
To the west—
The land warped unnaturally.
Gravity bent in impossible ways, mountains floated at odd angles, and space itself seemed unwilling to remain fixed. Victor felt a faint resistance simply observing it.
"No better."
But straight ahead, all he could see were mountains, forests, streams glinting beneath sunlight.
It looked relatively safe.
Victor withdrew his astral form and opened his eyes.
"Forward," he commanded.
Gojo roared softly and adjusted course.
They flew on.
After confirming that the region ahead posed no immediate danger—at least for a day or two—Victor finally exhaled.
"That’ll do."
He sat down once more, closed his eyes and slipped into Ascendant Realms.
—
Below them—
A figure stood in a grassy clearing.
He looked human at first glance with dark hair, rugged features, worn leather clothing but faint runes glowed beneath his skin when he raised his head.
His eyes widened.
"Wait..."
He squinted at the sky.
A dragon.
No—
A massive magical bird...
And on its back—
"Humans?"
His breath caught.
"They’re humans!"
Disbelief flooded his voice as awe followed close behind.
He raised both hands, channeling mana instinctively, and amplifying his voice with magic.
"Hey! Hey! Stop!" he yelled desperately. "Stop! Don’t go any further!"
He waved frantically.
"Don’t go into the forest!"
But Gojo never slowed.
The magical frost raptor flew past overhead, blotting out the sun for a brief moment with its massive form before shrinking into the distance.
The man lowered his hands slowly.
"...Damn it."
He stared at the horizon as dread settled into his chest.
"They’re toast."
Above him, Victor’s body was fully unconscious due to crossing dimensions.
He was completely unaware of what had just happened.
Another presence suddenly appeared beside the man without the slightest disturbance to the air, mana, or sound. It was an intrusion so seamless it made his skin prickle.
The young man who stood there looked unassuming at first glance. Average height, lean build, ash-brown hair tied loosely behind his head, and clothes that blended perfectly with the terrain as if they had been dyed by the land itself. His eyes, however, were sharp and reflected the sky like polished glass.
"Ray," the newcomer said casually with hands tucked into his sleeves, "are you going to tell the commander about this?"
Ray snapped his head toward him.
"What?" he hissed. "Are you stupid?"
The words came out harsher than he intended, but fear sharpened his tongue.
"You know exactly what he’ll try to do if he finds out another human is alive in these parts," Ray continued, lowering his voice.
The young man shrugged lightly. "Maybe. But hiding it isn’t exactly—"
"Well," Ray cut in, rubbing his temples, "looks like he just found out anyway."
The other man blinked. "What?"
