I Can Extract Game Items-Chapter 200: The Titan
The group kept charging forward, non stop.
The entire maze rumbled violently.
A deep gruff growl echoed through the air.
Ezran’s face paled. "That doesn’t sound good."
In the next instant, they spotted the source of the growl.
A massive, magical-controlled beast about twenty feet tall, covered in obsidian-black armor, with four burning red eyes and a mouth lined with jagged fangs burst through a wall up ahead.
It was a TITAN.
Its roar shook the maze.
And then—it charged.
The beast smashed through walls effortlessly, crushing players underfoot as it sprinted forward.
Aleman reacted instantly.
"RUN. NOW."
The entire group sprinted forward, barely dodging the Titan’s massive claws.
Boris leapt onto a fallen pillar, using it as a springboard to launch himself ahead.
Gregarious was screaming the entire time. "WHY DOES THIS THING EXIST?! WHO DESIGNED THIS?!"
Lilo barely avoided getting smashed, rolling between the Titan’s legs and sprinting ahead.
Ezran conjured a wind spell, boosting their speed.
Aleman teleported multiple times, dodging incoming debris.
More players fell behind, crushed under the Titan’s charge.
Some tried to attack the Titan but their magic bounced off it like bubbles.
Before they could flee, a single stomp from the Titan, sent a shockwave sweeping through the surroundings.
"Ahhhhh!" Screams rang out as HP digits dwindled and more players died.
"It’s reinforced with anti magic...?" Boris cried out.
"We just need to keep running till we find the exit," Aleman stated as they twisted through the maze like paths.
However, a few more minutes into fleeing, the Titan began to give chase from behind.
They would have been clueless if it wasn’t so massive that despite the walls behind them, its figure still stuck out like a sore thumb.
It beelined forward, crashing through walls after walls.
"ARRRGHHH!"
More and more players got squashed like bugs as magical attacks rained upon the Titan to no avail.
And now... it was getting close to Aleman’s group.
"This is so unfair! It’s crashing through walls while we have to turn left, right, left right before we can head forward!" Gregarious grumbled as usual.
He noticed he was dead last amongst the group and cried out; "Guys don’t leave me behind!"
"Just keep running," Aleman responded.
A glowing rectangular exit suddenly appeared in their line of sight about a hundred feet away.
However, the Titan had already caught up to them at this point.
It’s gargantuan foot was only a few feet away from Gregarious who was dead last.
"Don’t look back! Aim for the exit!" Aleman yelled.
"Easy for you to say when you’re not the one about to get crushed! Mommyyyy!!!" Gregarious kept screaming like a little school girl.
Just when they were less than forty feet away from the exit, the Titan’s foot was coming down on Gregarious head.
"Ahhh!"
Aleman suddenly turned around at this moment and reached out with his Telekinetic Grip.
[ Telekinetic Grip Activated ]
His telekinesis wrapped around a massive sixty feet long cracked pillar on the far left.
He lifted it through the air and smashed it into the Titan’s face, causing the gargantuan being to stagger backwards slightly.
Since the Titan was immune to magic, Aleman had been smart enough to use the pillar as a medium for physical attack.
The pillar crumbled to dust after contact and didn’t do much damage but at the very least, it gave Gregarious a bit of breathing space.
The group burst through the glowing rectangular door just as the timer hit zero.
...
They made it through the gauntlet.
But only 500 players could advance.
And there were still too many players alive.
A holographic finish line appeared in the distance.
[ First 500 to cross advance. The rest will be eliminated. ]
Boris grinned. "Sprint time."
Lilo strapped her bow to her back. "Try to keep up."
Aleman smirked. "Let’s finish this."
The moment the countdown began, every surviving player exploded into a full-speed sprint.
Spells flew.
Weapons clashed.
Players shoved and tackled each other.
Aleman Phantom Blitzed ahead, dodging multiple attacks.
Ezran fired wind spells, propelling himself forward.
Gregarious nearly tripped but managed to recover.
Reiner barreled through opponents, smashing two players aside.
Lilo landed a perfect acrobatic roll, flipping over another player and sprinting forward.
The finish line was close.
Players collapsed, tackled at the last second.
One by one—
As soon as the final 500 players crossed the finish line, a loud gong echoed.
[ ROUND TWO COMPLETE! ]
[ 500 PLAYERS REMAIN ]
Aleman exhaled, shaking off the exhaustion.
Ezran dropped onto the ground. "That was ridiculous."
Boris wiped sweat off his forehead. "I need a drink."
Gregarious collapsed. "I SAW MY LIFE FLASH BEFORE MY EYES."
Lilo grinned. "Well, we survived."
Reiner scowled, but even he had to admit that this team was strong. He was initially skeptical when their leader showed up late but now he was starting to see just how competent Aleman was.
...
...
The Grand Colosseum buzzed with excitement as thousands of spectators from across the kingdoms watched the remaining 500 competitors brace themselves for the next challenge.
The tournament had already claimed over a thousand players, but now it was time for a true test of teamwork.
The massive holographic screen above the arena flickered, displaying the next trial.
---
[ ROUND THREE – THE TRIAL OF UNITY ]
[ Objective: Solve the trial together as a party. If one fails, all fail. ]
[ Each member must complete their section of the trial. Only the first 250 teams to succeed will advance. ]
---
Aleman, Lilo, Boris, Ezran, Gregarious, and Reiner stood side by side, absorbing the rules.
Ezran let out a sigh. "Well, at least we don’t have to stab each other."
Boris grinned. "Finally, a team challenge. This is where we shine."
Reiner, arms crossed, scoffed. "That just means weak links will drag us down."
Lilo narrowed her eyes at him. "So try not to be one, then."
Before Reiner could snap back, the Colosseum floor trembled as the battlefield began to shift.
Massive stone gates rose from the ground, each leading to a different trial.
Aleman’s eyes flickered to the new system notifications.
Each team would be assigned six different trials, each based on their class and abilities.
1. Path of Strength – For warriors, berserkers, and knights. A test of sheer endurance and power.
2. Path of Shadows – For rogues and assassins. A test of agility and stealth.
3. Path of Arcana – For mages and spellcasters. A test of magical knowledge and spell manipulation.
4. Path of Precision – For rangers and marksmen. A test of accuracy, patience, and timing.
5. Path of Fortitude – A mental and physical endurance challenge.
6. Path of Hardship – A puzzle-solving challenge requiring quick thinking and coordination. Any class.
---
Ezran exhaled, adjusting his mage robes. "I guess I know where I’m going."
Boris cracked his knuckles. "Strength trial. Perfect."
Lilo pulled back her bowstring, her sharp ranger eyes scanning the arena. "Looks like I’m up for Precision."
Aleman studied the assignments before stepping forward. "I’ll take Shawdows."
Reiner smirked. "Fortitude’s mine. Shouldn’t be a problem."
Gregarious blinked. "Wait... does that mean I have to do the Harship Trial."
Everyone turned to him.
Greg gulped. "Uh-oh."
---
As soon as the teams were locked in, the stone gates opened, revealing the separate challenges ahead.
A booming voice echoed across the Colosseum.
"BEGIN!"
---
Boris stepped into a massive arena filled with stone pillars and an enormous titan-like golem.
A system message appeared.
---
[ Objective: Survive for Five Minutes Without Being Knocked Down ]
---
Boris grinned. "Oh, hell yes."
The golem roared, slamming its fists into the ground.
BOOM!
The shockwave sent several competitors flying, but Boris dug his heels in and held his ground.
The next five minutes were brutal.
The golem unleashed relentless attacks, sending crumbling debris everywhere.
Boris used his shield to block attacks occasionally and countered, never once letting himself fall.
Many of the warriors here, tried to combine forces to battle the golem but it kept cleaving through their ranks, not giving them the opportunity to form a properly coordinated attack.
Boris avoided a direct confrontation since he was well aware that failure would lead to the failing of the entire team.
Player after player was eliminated in quick draws which also meant that their group was done for.
---
Ezran stood in a circular chamber with a floating book hovering before him.
A voice echoed.
"Prove your mastery of magic. Replicate the spell before you."
A system message flickered.
---
[ Objective: Observe the spell. Replicate it perfectly. Failure results in elimination. ]
---
The book flipped open, and before Ezran’s eyes, a complex series of runes ignited in the air.
A high-level fire spell.
Ezran took a deep breath, focusing.
He mimicked the hand gestures, channeling mana carefully...
At some point, his mana flow began to constrict...
"Damn it... the spell is too high leveled, my mana channels are not wide enough..."
Ezran struggled repeatedly to complete the spell but it was proving difficult.
Just when the spell creation was about to fall through, he pulled out a level up card from his inventory.
[ Use Level Up Card: ]
[ YES ] × [ NO ]
