I Can Claim Daily Rewards-Chapter 171 Save The Drowning Monkeys
Three days later, the mission given to Ken's group was completed.
"Is that so?" Arlan received the report about the completion of their mission. He already expected their success so he wasn't surprised by the result. He even sent Codename 07 to support them.
"Tell them to come back and report to me in person." Arlan said before he disconnected the call.
In the past three days, he sent his men to deal with the Maracas Family and their allies. He also asked for the De Guzman Family to help him put pressure on the government to prevent them from interfering. Lieutenant General Rivera also held back the military and even the police force didn't dare to intervene.
The private army of the Maracas Family was ambushed and almost half of them were killed in the attack. The remaining half were captured and were detained by the military for breaking Article 18 Section 24 which says: 'Private armies and other armed groups not recognized by duly constituted authority shall be dismantled.'
Many members of the Maracas Family were also captured and put into prison. The innocent ones were spared, but they couldn't escape the judging eyes of the people. Meanwhile, most of the allies of the Maracas Family were also captured. Some were even killed after resisting arrest.

Inside an abandoned factory in Laguna, Shara Butete had a gloomy look as she scanned the people in front of her. They were the remaining members of their faction.
"What should we do? The government, the military, and even the police are turning a blind eye on this matter. It is only a matter of time before the mysterious organization could locate us." Including Shara Butete, there were only seven people inside the room. All of them looked haggard, no longer resembling the high and mighty officials they were before.
"All of us are involved in crimes. You should know what happened to the rest of our members who were captured. Most of them were killed. We have no choice but to fight back!" Shara Butete muttered with a dark look.
"Fight back? Do you want us to get killed!? Even the Maracas Family's private army couldn't do anything to them! What do you expect us to do with the pitiful people we have now?!" One of them shouted.
Shara Butete frowned upon hearing this. The mysterious organization was too powerful. It only took them three days to destroy their faction. 'Everyone is afraid to fight. There is no longer hope for us...' She sighed in her heart.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Everyone was surprised when they heard someone's phone ringing.
Shara Butete was taken aback when she felt something vibrating in her pocket. It was her phone. She quickly grabbed it and when she saw the caller, her eyebrows jumped upwards.
After hesitating for a moment, Shara Butete answered the call. There might be a chance for them to escape after all. "Hello, Leandro. This is me, Shara."
The eyes of the people inside the room brightened when they heard her mention Leandro's name.
"How did you kno- Nevermind... You're right. The faction is now destroyed and we have barely escaped the mysterious organization's pursuit." 𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗼𝘃𝐞𝐥.𝗰𝗼𝐦
"What? You mean you know the mastermind behind this mysterious organization?!"
"Alright... I understand... We will wait for your people."
When the call ended, everyone bombarded Shara with questions.
"What did Leandro say?"
"Is he sending help for us?"
"Did he tell you who is the mastermind behind the mysterious organization?"
Shara glared at them and shouted. "Silence!"
"Leandro said that he knows the mastermind, but he didn't tell me who it was. However, he sent a group to pick us up. We should be able to leave the country with their help." Shara's words made everyone heave a sigh of relief.

"There's movement on Leandro's side?" Arlan frowned when he heard Winter's report.
"That's right." Winter nodded her head. "This is the content of their conversation." She played a recording on her laptop.
"Hello, Leandro! This is me, Shara."
"How did you..."
"Alright, I understand..."
Arlan leaned on his chair after hearing the recording. "So he wants to save those drowning monkeys." He said.
"What do you want to do?" Winter asked while looking at him.
Arlan shook his head and replied. "It doesn't matter if they escape. We have already confiscated most of their wealth. They wouldn't be able to launch a counterattack since they would be too busy to handle the zombie virus. Tell our men to pull back. We should focus on relocating our people to the island fortress." There were only a little more than two weeks left until the zombie virus spread.
"I have already informed our personnel responsible for leading the relocation. The families of our soldiers complied with the relocation, but there were some people who declined the invitation." Winter reported in a cold tone.
Hearing this, Arlan rubbed his temples. "Who rejected us?" He asked.
"The De Guzman Family, Peter Bacari, Morgan Stan, Laurence, the founding members of Mazda, and the Montefalco Family..."
Arlan frowned after she stated the names. Those people were his friends and allies. He didn't want to see them fall when the zombie virus spread, but he didn't know how he could convince them to settle down in the island fortress. "I'll take of that." He said as he stood up from his seat. There was no time for him to hesitate now.
"How do you plan to convince them?" Winter asked with an expressionless look.
Arlan stared at her and calmly replied. "I'll tell them about the virus." He then stepped out of his office after saying this. He had no choice at this moment. He had to inform them about the impending disaster to change their minds.
"Wait. I'm coming with you." Winter's voice suddenly drifted into his ears.
"Huh?" Arlan was surprised by her words. She never wanted to go out so what's the reason for the sudden change in her mind?
"This might be the last chance for me to see the peaceful world so I might as well go with you."
Arlan didn't know what was on her mind. He couldn't see through her indifferent face at all.
