Gerrard listened carefully to everything Ethan said. He left the large tent at the center of the camp to summon the twelve commanders of the first invasion force.
One by one, they gathered as ordered by Gerrard. That night, Ethan decided that eight units would move out with him, consisting of two LionArk units and six allied units.
The total number of soldiers reached 22,000. They reported their readiness, and Ethan was pleased to hear it.
For the second squad, Ethan appointed Nathan as its commander. They would only move and provide support if Ethan gave the order.
If Ethan’s squad judged the tropical region to be dangerous, there was no way he would send the second squad in.
Everyone understood the flow of Ethan’s plan. The man ordered the eight unit commanders under his direct command to prepare.
Yuna stayed close to Ethan, trying to help however she could, even though Ethan had not yet told her what her role was.
So far, Ethan had not allowed Yuna to interfere in his invasion plans.
Time continued to pass, and the night grew deeper. While the unit commanders and soldiers slept, the soldiers of the first squad had already awakened.
They all gathered at the northern gate of the camp, standing in neat formation according to their respective cities.
From within the camp, Ethan arrived on horseback, with Yuna riding beside him. Ethan’s arrival drew the attention of many.
"The first squad is the most important squad in this invasion. We will decide whether our first invasion can proceed or not."
"Listen to my orders at all times. Never argue!"
"Understood, Sir Ethan!" they shouted loudly in unison.
Once everything was ready, Ethan ordered the combined forces to begin advancing into the canyon.
They moved forward with firm steps, Ethan and Yuna riding at the front, leading the first squad.
The distance from the camp to the canyon was not far. It did not take long for Ethan and the first squad to arrive.
Several team members from other guilds noticed Ethan’s arrival. They raised their hands and saluted him.
Ethan nodded, greeting them while waving his hand. Ethan and Yuna successfully arrived at the northern outer area of the canyon, officially setting foot once again in tropical territory.
Unlike the dry desert, the tropical region felt humid and damp. The sound of insects filled their ears, and lush trees grew densely, providing shade.
The march entered the tropical region not as inhabitants, but as invaders. Ethan and Yuna continued riding forward, remaining constantly on guard.
"This place is too quiet for a region like this."
Ethan agreed with Yuna. It felt strange that Arthur would abandon his cities to launch an invasion elsewhere.
However, Ethan had no idea what Arthur was planning. It could be an act of desperation, or there could be a cunning scheme hidden behind the empty cities.
Ethan stopped his horse. Yuna did the same, followed by the other troops behind them.
Ahead stood a city flying a banner with a red and black background, the symbol of an allied city under the Redemption Sword.
Through Ethan’s eyes, he could clearly see several city soldiers guarding the walls, seemingly unaware of the presence of Ethan’s invasion force.
"What should we do?" Yuna asked.
Ethan fell silent, then immediately extended his hand forward, summoning the Bloodblade Ashura. Yuna stared in shock as Ethan’s crimson red sword emitted a terrifying power.

His appearance changed, and a surge of power erupted, causing the other commanders to grow excited and ready their weapons.
Yuna, however, felt differently. The man beside her looked completely different. Ethan was far more frightening when wielding that red sword.

"Wait here!" Ethan ordered firmly.

The gates opened, and hundreds of city soldiers rushed out in armor, swords aimed at Ethan. However, defeating them was easy for him.

The explosion was massive, killing many of the city’s soldiers in horrific condition. Realizing this, the remaining soldiers began keeping their distance from Ethan.
Ethan gripped his sword tightly and launched a second Crimson Slash. The attack split through the soldiers, slammed into the city’s western gate, and instantly reduced it to rubble.
The sight left many unit commanders in awe of Ethan’s abilities. Quite a few of them cheered in excitement, seeing how easily Ethan’s forces could invade the enemy city.
Yuna narrowed her eyes, sensing that something was wrong with the city.
Just as Ethan advanced on horseback, a massive red rune appeared above the city, shocking everyone.
"That is fire defense magic!" Yuna exclaimed.
The Sacred Hall was filled with priests and mages. They clearly knew what that rune was and what kind of effect it carried.
From the red rune, a beam of fire shot out, targeting Ethan. Ethan drove his sword into the ground, activating a sword barrier.
They are protecting their city with absolute fire defense magic. If I attack with the full force, that laser could wipe them out in an instant.

"It is fine. Distract that laser," Ethan said calmly. Lyodra nodded obediently.
Ethan turned to look at Yuna. "Move back a bit. I will destroy this magic first."
Yuna agreed. "Its weakness lies at the four cardinal points. Disable the magic rune by destroying all four points."
"I understand!"
