I Become Master of Danger Zones as Incubus With Mastery In Genetic-Chapter 658 - 78
"Ooff, I’m glad you help me Mr. Fasno." Ardent said to the innkeeper. As it turns out, his job hunt lasted a single day. In fact, less than that as the innkeeper showed his benevolence and accepted him as an employee.
Of course, with him living in the inn, plus having meals in the inn, his salary is low. But the fact he get one showed how kind the man is. He can easily not give him any many, saying the room and meals is sufficient payment, but the man did not go on such route.
"Having a new young employee is good for the business. Though, how long are you planning on staying inside the City, lad?" the man asked.
"Probably until the heat is over." Ardent replied. Fasno nodded, "Scared of the guards? You shouldn’t be. They will not do anything to you, unless if you a criminal. Discover exclusive tales at novelbuddy
Are you?" he said the last part with inquisitive tone. If Ardent showed any sign of reacting weirdly to the question, he might get caught. Instead, Ardent decided to go in with the jest.
"Yes, I’m the most heinous criminal there is. I’m going to work hard in my current job and force my boss to double my salary." the way he said with utmost seriousness earned him a blank stare from the man, before he laughed loudly.
"Good one, lad." he slapped Ardent’s back. If Ardent is any regular teen, his back might have been broken by the blow. Thankfully, he is a powerful Mage, so he can easily heal the injury with the right application of Mana.
’Too bad Healing Magic is rare.’ application of Plant, Light, and Life Magic can give result equivalent to low Grade Healing Spells, but it could never compare to the real deal.
In fact, Healing Magic is not considered as part of the regular Mage Attribute. Instead, it went to the Arcane Path, the Path few Mages took, the Path differ than conventional Mages took.
In fact, he only know the existence of Healing Magic and Arcane Path because of Merith, who grace him with his knowledge and wisdom, one he accumulated over his life and travel before returning back to his hometown.
’In the future, I should look into it.’ Ardent decided. Having Mages of Arcane Path would expend the talent pool and patch up any weakness or lacking part of him and his Nation.
He then continued doing his job as a waiter, delivering food to different rooms and tables, earning his keep and his stay in the inn for a longer period of time.

Just outside the inn, two guards holding a baton-like object plopped down on the chair outside.
"Well, it’s another bust." one of them said.
The other nodded. They are 1st Rank Aura User, the strongest after 4th Circle Mage and 3rd Rank Aura Expert, hence why they went in pair.
However, even with pairs like them moving around, no one find the Mage in question. Well, they find many Mages in 3rd Circle, but no one suspicious.
"Maybe we should take a break." the other nodded.
"But, let’s activate this just to be sure." The first one poured his Aura, activating the Magic tool and waiting for nothing to happen.
However, their expectation were broken when the Magic tool shake quickly, to their surprise.
Their eyes widened, the two carefully put away the Magic tool, before one of them enter the inn. Subtly using his Aura to detect any Mages. He quickly find his target, but not wanting to alarm the boy, he sat down, ordering a drink and a simple snack.
As the boy took his order before going his way, the guard wondered how others would react to a child being a potential cause of the mess.

After telling his partners of their findings, the two guards set up a watch, while calling more of their contemporaries.
In no time at all, ten 1st Rank Aura User gathered near the inn, subtly using their Aura to lower their presence to the point no one should be able to detect them.
Soon enough, the boy come out, now in another outfit.
’Follow him.’ one whispered, and the 10 guards began a chase, while trying to find the best place to ambush the boy.

The chase, or stalking really, soon ended as the boy went to a quite street, where there are almost no people in sight.
With potential civilian casualties lowered, 4 split up to cover the exits while the rest evacuate anyone remaining.
Before long, the rest of the civilians, along with the vendors had been moved away, some more forcefully. Yet, during the entire time, the boy did not move, and looked at the exit in boredom.
"So, how long will the 10 of you remain hidden?" he suddenly asked, his head turned in the direction of each guard. His eyes even peers into their eyes, seemingly looking straight at them.
Realizing the boy is more than he seem, the guards removed their concealment as they took out their weapon. Most of them used swords, with some going for daggers and axes.
All weapons that can be used in tight spaces, or as easy as they can use it.
"Surrender, and no one get hurt." one guard, the oldest among them said.
"..." the boy remained silent, his brows raising before letting out a chuckle. "Sure. Take me to the dungeon or whatever." he said, seemingly unbothered by the fact of him being caught.
Seeing them exchanging weird looks, the boy let out a snicker before saying, "But make sure to tell your higher-ups. They need to know they caught the person causing all the commotion."
With that, he put his hand behind his back and walked slowly to the closest guard. Exchanging another confused look between them, the guards accepted the boy surrender while one begin to run for the City Lord, planning on reporting their success.
