Roxanna’s eyes widened as several recipes began glowing. They were simple, realistic, and efficient. Exactly what she needed:

- Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Egg

- Crispy Roasted Potatoes.

"Roxanna?" Azul called her name. He had probably called her more than once, but Roxanna had been too lost in her silent conversation with the system to notice. "What should we cook?" he asked.

He and Cyrus knew that when the voice in her head gave her a mission, Roxanna had to follow it. She might not receive any punishment if she failed to complete the mission, but she would certainly be upset if she couldn’t finish it.

Therefore, they had to be careful not to mess up the cooking, or their wife would be angry at them—no, scratch that. Most likely, Roxanna wouldn’t blame others for her failure. She would blame herself instead.

Based on Roxanna’s thoughts, it seemed that the invisible voice would give her a reward that could help Calen, and she clearly wanted to obtain it.

"A knife and a cutting board," Roxanna said quickly. "We can use them to cut the vegetables and peel them."

She then handed a knife to Cyrus and Azul. "I’ll show you how to peel the vegetables and cut them. After that, you have to help me with it. Okay?"

Cyrus and Azul were taken aback for a moment. Roxanna had never taught someone to cook in such a hurried way. Cyrus already had basic cooking skills, but Azul had none at all.

"You need to be careful when peeling and cutting the vegetables. Don’t hurt your fingers," she explained while slicing a carrot on the cutting board. "Cut them into small pieces, but not too thin. Like this."

Cyrus leaned forward, watching closely. Azul stared as if witnessing something magical. "Cooking is terrifying," Azul muttered.

Roxanna didn’t even look up. "Only if you’re bad at it."

Azul swallowed. "That wasn’t comforting at all."

She slid the carrots aside and reached for the mustard greens.

"Azul, you can start with these."

Azul stiffened. "M-Me?"

"Yes, you."

He hesitated before stepping closer, gripping the knife like it might attack him. Roxanna noticed immediately. "Why are you holding it like that?"

"Like what?"

"Like you’re about to duel the vegetables."

Cyrus coughed to mask his laughter. Even so, Azul could tell that the bird was mocking him in his mind.

"Don’t laugh!" Azul said. "Can you even do it?"

"It’s easy." Cyrus nudged him aside and began cutting the vegetables on the cutting board. He even chopped the carrot quickly, copying Roxanna’s cuts. "You just need to follow our wife’s instructions... though it might be difficult if you have the memory of a fish."

Azul’s eyes twitched, but before he could fire back, Roxanna spoke again.

"Don’t fight, don’t fight. This is Azul’s first time cooking, so it’s fine if his cuts aren’t very good."

Azul didn’t want to lose to Cyrus. But after trying to cut the vegetables, his slices looked strange. Some were too large, while others were uneven and crushed.

"The knife is too thin," Azul muttered. "I’m not used to using it."
