I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!-Chapter 121: Riding Horses (2)
Roxanna felt warm and safe in his arms. Before she could reply, Cyrus, who was riding beside them, shot Luan a sharp look.
He knew exactly what Luan was doing. That sneaky man had clearly said that on purpose, just so Roxanna could stay in his embrace longer than two hours.
Luan noticed the look and smiled slightly. On the other hand, Cyrus held himself back because he also wanted Roxanna to rest. So in the end, he said nothing.
"Alright," Roxanna said softly. "But we can stop and rest if you get tired."
Luan shrugged casually. "We could even stay awake for three days if we really wanted to."
Roxanna wanted to scold them because something like that wasn’t healthy. But then she remembered that they weren’t humans. They had their own healing abilities, so being sleep-deprived wouldn’t damage their bodies in a short time.
She herself could also stay awake for days, but since she was used to sleeping every night, sleeping had become part of her routine.
In the end, Roxanna didn’t say anything and shifted into her fox form.
Luan tossed her clothes to Cyrus, asking him to take care of them, while he carefully hugged the small pink fox and let her rest near his lap.
Luan ran his fingers through her fur, making Roxanna feel even more comfortable until she finally fell asleep.

"Roxanna, we’ve arrived," Luan said softly as he gently nudged her cheek while holding her.
Her fox ears twitched slightly, and her fluffy tail couldn’t stop swaying once she was fully awake.
At that moment, Luan and Cyrus had already gotten off the horses. In fact, Roxanna couldn’t see the horses anymore, which meant they had left earlier.
Still in her fox form, Roxanna stretched lazily in Luan’s arms.
But then she suddenly froze and widened her eyes when she saw a dazzling golden glow shining from above.
Oh, wait—no. It wasn’t coming from the sky. It was coming from the peak of the Golden Mountain!
Unlike the green mountain, the Golden Mountain wasn’t covered with thick plants. It was mostly made of rocks.
Because of that, anyone living on this mountain would probably have to go down frequently to look for food.
Roxanna jumped down from Luan’s arms and slowly changed back into her human form.
The cold mountain air immediately wrapped around her. Before she could even shiver, Cyrus quickly picked up her clothes and helped her put them on.
"The path going up is very steep," Roxanna said while fixing her clothes. "But there must be a place that isn’t too hard to climb."
The cliff in front of them looked almost vertical. Instead of climbing a mountain, it felt more like they were about to climb a steep wall.
However, every mountain usually had both gentle and steep sides. They just had to find the gentler area.
"Yes," Cyrus added. "Earlier, I flew around the mountain from above. Not too high, though. The clouds up there are strange." He pointed to the right. "If we walk that way for about twenty minutes, there’s a gentler path."
Roxanna nodded. "I see. Then let’s go there now."
But before moving, they decided to prepare. They ate their high-energy rations and put on thick jackets.
Luan looked curiously at the food package and sniffed it. "This is my first time seeing food like this," he said honestly.
Cyrus, on the other hand, was more interested in the jacket. He held the black jacket up and examined it carefully. "What is this?" he asked.
He pressed the soft padding inside and frowned. "I’ve never seen animal skin like this before."
Roxanna laughed softly. She took the jacket from him. "This is called a jacket," she explained.
She opened the zipper and gently helped him put it on. "It keeps you warm all the time."
She was about to zip it up, but her impulsive thoughts took over her body. Without thinking too much, she slipped her hands through his jacket and hugged him.
"We can stay even warmer if we hug inside the same jacket," Roxanna said softly, holding him a little tighter. "But we’ll only do this when it’s really cold and when we truly need skin-to-skin warmth."
"I wouldn’t mind doing this even if it wasn’t that cold," Cyrus replied honestly. He wrapped his arms around her and hugged her as tightly as he could, as if he didn’t want to let go.
Roxanna laughed softly. "We still have to climb the mountain," she said gently. "So there’s no way we can stay like this."
She lifted her head and looked at him. "Lower your head," she whispered.
Cyrus followed her words without hesitation, and Roxanna kissed him on the lips. With her face completely red, she said, "That’s your compensation because I didn’t ride with you all night."
Cyrus was silent for a moment, then suddenly said, "If this is the compensation, then I should get more than one kiss. You have to kiss me at least three times."
Before Roxanna could say anything, Luan suddenly burst out,
"For heaven’s sake, Cyrus! Calen is dying, and you’re still using this chance to flirt with our wife? Cyrus, I’m very disappointed in you!" He spoke in such a dramatic tone that it sounded like he was acting in a play.
Roxanna blinked, and for a moment, she almost believed that Azul had somehow possessed Luan.
Cyrus coughed lightly, trying to hide his smile. "Hey, I was just asking for fair compensation," he defended himself. "It’s not like I forgot about Calen."
Luan crossed his arms and turned his head away. "Excuses."
Roxanna couldn’t hold it in anymore, so she laughed. "You two are unbelievable," she said, shaking her head.
But at least their small argument made Roxanna feel more relaxed. Because of that, she decided to kiss Cyrus three times, and then add a few more on his cheeks. "There. I’ve paid your compensation."
Before Luan could protest, Roxanna grabbed his wrist and gave him a kiss as well. "There, I didn’t forget about you."
Cyrus and Luan turned their faces away at the same time, but Roxanna could still see that their faces had turned red.
Cyrus cleared his throat and then said, "L-Let’s not forget the main reason we’re here."
