I Became My Healer Elf Character-Chapter 89: Divine Lineage
Hikari placed her hand against the princess's hand. "Now then, if you channel your mana, the contract will be complete."
Princess Miliana nodded. As she channeled her magic, there was a small glow of white light. "What is this prickly sensation?"
Hikari shrugged and looked towards Mizuko and Kurayami. "Did you both experience a prickly sensation?"
Mizuko nodded. "It's essentially that her body is accepting your authority, Mistress. Then person making the contract will not feel the sensation."
"Makes sense, I can only feel the presence of my contracts if I focus on them in my mind."
"Master, for the contract, it depends on what kind of contract you engage with the other person. I can always sense where you are because we have an equal contract. Most of your contracted cannot locate where you are."
"I see...Is that why Mizuko couldn't find me when we transferred over here?"
The vampire in question assented. "Kurayami isn't the only one with an equal contract to you, but all of the maids do not have it, including myself. Lady Senjo has an equal contract, something that I never really understood."
Hikari frowned. "Did I never say the reason that she has one?"
Kurayami shrugged. "While that fairy may not be the strongest in terms of might. She's always been very faithful to Master, and she's most resourceful. You never told me the reasons for why certain contracts are equal either, Master. But I always imagined it was dependent on their abilities."
Hikari sighed and focused on her new contract. She could feel the presence of Miliana in her mind. "With this, the contract is sealed. Yet, there is another thing I would offer you before I go."
"You've already given us so much, My Lady. Any more and it would seem as if we are taking advantage of you."
"As you should. What is a goddess that you can't take advantage of? If you ever need help, you should just call upon me, and I will arrive. Now then…"
Hikari took out a large piece of Amelium from her inventory. The elf's newest contract looked in confusion at the strange pink rock. However, Hikari quickly got to work. She channeled her pure, radiant light magic into it. The thing started to glow vibrantly, yet she wasn't done.
Her magic snaked its way into every corner of the metal, until it began molding it. The object elongated into a staff at first, a handle forming at one end. On the other end, Hikari began forming it into three sharp prongs.
Miliana watched as the strange rock became a sharp, pink trident. Even though she said she didn't want anything, she couldn't help grinning in anticipation. Her face betrayed her emotions.
Hikari took out a small piece of the blood rite pearl the tribe had given her. She inserted it into the little slot at the meeting of the three prongs. Then she plucked one of her white feathers, disintegrating it until the ashes mended with the pearl. As the last act, she channeled her divinity into the item until the ritual completed.
When the glow subsided, the elven goddess performed her inspection.
[Divine Blood Rite Trident] – Formed by an ancient and powerful deity, this weapon serves as the protector of the mermaid royal family. Only those who hold the Blood Rite are allowed to wield it.
[Set Bonus 2/2] – This item requires either the Blood Rite Crown or the Blood Rite Tiara to be able to use it. Once both items are equipped, the user of the trident gets a 100% bonus to [Strength] and [Light Magic].
[Feather Touch] – The deity blessed this item with her own feather, increasing both the handling and durability of this item. Anyone who uses this item is granted a 200% bonus to maximum swimming speed. Additionally, the user is immune to all diseases and poisons.
[Divine Craft: Light] – This trident was crafted by the Light of Hope and forged using Amelium as its base. Anyone using this trident is 99% resistant to [Light Magic]. Should the user be wounded, this trident will heal them—with the exception of [Death].
Hikari finally handed the trident to the awaiting princess. "Use it well. This should serve your tribe for a long time."
The princess could not hide her surprise and anticipation. She dropped her old blue trident on the ground in her eagerness and gripped the handle of the new trident. "It feels very light in my hands, yet it's huge."

"Indeed, should you ever get hurt, this will heal you, but know that if you are holding this, you'll probably be immune to healing magic of the [Light] affinity."
"A small price to pay for such an amazing weapon," the princess said. "I shall cherish it for years to come. Thank you for everything you've done for us, Lady Hikari. Know that we will never forget this."
Hikari didn't stick around to see if that promise would come true or not. She gave her goodbyes to the princess and the elders. While the elf liked the mermaids, she didn't want to watch them build a statue of her. Moreover, if she stuck around they'd definitely worship her every move. She hopped on top of her dragon mount with the other two girls and made way towards the exit of the trench.
"Master, why did you give that girl such a valuable weapon?"
"They helped me experience the taste of a food I'd long been missing. It would be rude not to do this much at least."
Ayase chuckled and wrapped her hands around the elf. "You have such a big heart. Always going somewhere. Always helping other people. Though you may seem like you are aloof, your actions show your true beauty."
Hikari's ears were painted a light tint of red. "Next time I will simply leave you in whatever town we visit."
Ayase kissed the elf's blushing ear. "You wouldn't dare to do that. Your heart is as squishy is as this ear."
Hikari's ear twitched and she looked for help in her other comrades, yet their words shattered her Hope.
"Master is Master after all."
"The mistress is so cute, it makes you want to devour her."
The elf crossed her arms as her face heated up. "There will be no devouring right now! You all should be focusing on the task of meeting back up with our crew. Imagine how the kids must feel right now in a strange and unfamiliar land!"

Nona looked at the strange food in her hands with bewilderment. She'd never seen an orange tropical fruit like the one her small hands carried. Moreover, it was coated with a sweet smelling sauce. Her mouth watered as she thought of devouring it.
"Go ahead," the angel said. "I've determined that this one is safe to eat."
The little girl smiled, immediately taking a bite of the unfamiliar fruit. A sweet taste filled her mouth. The sauce melted on her tongue, and the texture was reminiscent of the apples she'd tried before. Although, this orange fruit was warm since it had been cooked in some kind of pot. Nona's taste buds were assaulted by strange yet delicious flavors.
Amelia smiled at the vibrant little girl. "They told me this is called a tropical merigold fruit. They cook it inside of this sweet sauce. Luckily we arrived while they are in season. Apparently it can be difficult to get them during the other seasons. Is it tasty?"
Nona nodded and took another bite. "A warm, sweet flavor fills my mouth on every bite."
Amelia giggled and wiped Nona's cheeks. "You shouldn't talk while you are eating. It's very unladylike."
Nona pouted as she finished another bite. "You're the one who asked me a question."
Amelia patted the girl's head. "You can always answer once you're finished. How are you liking this place?"
"This city is way better than where we came from. The people are much nicer. Even that guard at the docks was nice to me. Look, he gave me a little flower."
"Hmm, you are right about that. Maybe it's because you changed how you dressed?"
"True," Kai said, "my sister always looked pretty, but this outfit makes her look like a pretty little fairy. I'm worried she'll become spoiled."
"That's unavoidable. Both of you should be spoiled. You've already worked hard enough as an older brother. Why not let yourself be spoiled by a couple of goddesses?"
Kai shook his head at Amelia's offer. "If we keep letting everyone spoil us, we'll become completely useless. I saw enough nobles in that harbor to see what spoiling does to people."
"Brother, you don't need to work so hard anymore. Just let Amelia be our mommy."
Warmth flooded into Amelia's chest and her cheeks reddened. "Y-your mommy? Don't you want Hikari to be your mommy?"
"No, she's like the auntie who lets us get away with everything. You're like the mommy who makes sure we're going to bed on time." The little girl looked up at Amelia with devilish puppy dog eyes and hugged the goddess. "Unless you don't want to be our mommy."
The pink-haired goddess was utterly defeated by that look. She sighed in resignation and hugged the little girl. "O-okay, I will be your mommy."
