I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 288 Stepmom teacher
Everyone laughed except Lucien, who still looked serious. "I’ll tell Father," he repeated calmly. "He deserves to know if Teacher is being—"
"Romantic?!" Boo interrupted excitedly. "Ooooh, tell him that part!"
Felix leaned closer, whispering, "Maybe the teacher will be your new stepmom."
Boo gasped, covering his mouth. "Oh my ghost!"
Drake choked on his juice. "Stepmom teacher?!"
Luna slammed her paw on the table. "Stop it! Teacher belongs to us!"
"Yes, yes, Lucien!" Drake said, bouncing in his seat, his tail wagging like a happy puppy. "You’re going to tell your dad so Teacher can belong to you alone! Ah—nooo!" He laughed so hard he almost fell off his chair, his tongue sticking out playfully.
Lucien gave him a flat look, his calm expression completely unamused. "Drake, that’s not what I said." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Sure, sure," Felix teased, grinning. "But that’s exactly what it sounded like."
Lucien sighed. "You all have way too much free time."
Before anyone could respond, Luna slammed her paw on the table again. "Can we think about this later and eat?" she growled, her tail fur bristling as her stomach growled louder. "Some of us are hungry, not heartbroken."
Everyone blinked, then nodded immediately. "Right!" Drake said with his mouth full again. "Food first, gossip later!"
"Agreed," Felix said, returning to poking his lunch.
Boo, still hovering above the table, puffed his cheeks dramatically. "Fine! No more gossiping during lunch... maybe." Then, as if remembering something, he floated closer to Sable and placed a small pudding cup in front of him. "Here! Boo’s peace offering!"
Sable’s eyes lit up instantly. "Really? For me?"
Boo nodded proudly. "Yes! Boo spreads love, not war!"
The shy little boy smiled so brightly that even Luna’s tail stopped twitching. "Thank you, Boo."
For a moment, the lunchroom finally felt calm again—Drake happily chewing, Luna quietly eating at last, Sable enjoying his pudding, and Boo humming softly while twirling above them like a glowing ribbon.

After lunch
"Let’s go and play!" Drake shouted suddenly, jumping up from his chair with both arms in the air. His cheeks were still stuffed with food, and crumbs flew everywhere like tiny confetti.
"Let’s go, let’s go!" the others cheered, their voices blending into one wild chorus.
In a flash, the entire table exploded into motion. Chairs toppled, tails wagged, and wings flapped. Boo zoomed in circles yelling, "Playtime! Playtime! Operation Fun Mode—activate!" while Felix tried to finish his last bite before being dragged along.
Luna grabbed her lunchbox with a growl. "Wait for me, you maniacs!" she barked, chasing after Drake, who was already halfway out the door.
Kelpie splashed a bit of water from his cup in excitement before hopping off his seat, his little feet pattering across the floor. "I’m coming too!" he squeaked.
Rocky rolled after them—literally—because in his excitement, he turned into a small boulder that thudded across the floor toward the door.
Lucien stood slowly, brushing off his clothes. "They didn’t even clean up," he muttered, but there was a faint smile on his lips as he followed them out.
Sable reluctantly set his cup on the table. Boo flew beside him, spinning happily. "Come on, Sable! You can be my assistant in tag! You’ll help me chase Luna!"
Sable giggled softly. "Okay... but don’t scare her too much this time."
"Boo never scares! Boo surprises!" he corrected proudly.
A few moments later, the playground was filled with laughter. Drake ran in circles breathing tiny puffs of smoke, Luna howled at the sky just to show off, Felix tried to act mature but ended up joining the game, and Boo floated above them like a referee who couldn’t stop shouting.

Dante stood near the end of the corridor, his hands loosely tucked in his pockets as Alina adjusted the strap of her bag. The hallway was quiet now, filled only with the faint laughter of children echoing from the playground.
He didn’t say anything at first. His crimson eyes watched her with a calm expression, but there was a heaviness in his silence, something almost reluctant, as if he didn’t want the moment to end.
Alina looked up at him with a soft smile. "Sir, I should get going now," she said gently. "It’s playtime, and the babies are probably already turning the playground upside down."
Dante’s lips curved slightly. "I don’t doubt that," he said, his voice quiet but touched with fond amusement.
There was a small pause before he added, "I have a meeting anyway." His tone was calm, but it didn’t quite hide the faint hesitation beneath it. "You should go before they come looking for you."
Alina laughed softly. "You’re right. If I’m late, Boo will probably start another protest."
Dante chuckled under his breath, the sound low and warm. "That wouldn’t surprise me."
For a moment, neither of them moved. The sunlight streaming through the window caught in her hair, and he found himself watching her a little too long. Then, realizing it, he looked away with a faint sigh. "Take care, Miss Alina."
She smiled and gave a small nod. "You too, Sir. Don’t skip lunch next time."
He met her eyes again, his expression unreadable but softer than usual. "Only if you remind me," he said.
Alina blinked, slightly caught off guard by the quiet tone in his voice, but before she could respond, he stepped back politely and gave a slight bow. "Until next time."
And with that, he turned and walked down the hall, his long coat brushing lightly behind him.
Alina watched him go for a moment before heading toward the playground, where laughter was already waiting for her.
Behind her, Dante’s footsteps slowed briefly at the corner. A small smile ghosted across his lips. That little human has no idea what she does to me, he thought before disappearing around the bend.
Alina walked out into the bright sunlight, the cool breeze brushing softly against her hair. She paused for a moment near the steps, her eyes warming as she looked across the playground.
A cheerful laugh escaped her lips. The children were everywhere—running, tumbling, and shouting in pure joy. It was chaos, but the beautiful kind.
Drake was dashing in circles, his wings flapping wildly as he tried to catch Luna, who darted between the trees with a smug grin. "You can’t catch me, fire-breath!" she howled, her tail wagging furiously.
"Yes, I can! Watch me!" Drake yelled back, nearly tripping over Rocky, who had accidentally turned into a pebble mid-sprint and was now rolling helplessly.
