I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 280 Dance
"Hmm..." Boo floated up, tapping his chin like a judge. "Not enough sparkle... but Boo will allow it since you’re handsome."
Lucien blinked. "What?"
"Go in, handsome boy, you passed!" Boo said proudly.
Felix nearly fell over laughing. "Boo, you’re unbelievable!"
Lucien just sighed and walked inside, muttering something under his breath.
Just then, Drake and Luna appeared in the hallway.
"Hey, why’s there a line at our door?" Drake asked, licking a lollipop he got from the dining hall.
"Boo’s making everyone dance," Felix said dryly.
Drake’s eyes lit up. "DANCE???"
Before anyone could stop him, Drake jumped, spun in midair, and let out a puff of fire shaped like a heart. "Ta-da! Best dancer in the kindergarten!"
Boo squealed with joy. "Waaaah! FIRE HEART!! YOU WIN!!"
Luna facepalmed. "You two are unbelievable."
But before she could enter, Boo pointed at her too. "Your turn, wolf-girl!"
"Fine..." Luna growled softly and shifted into her form, but her tail betrayed her by wagging.
The little wolf did a slow little spin and a proud wolf howl.
Boo clapped excitedly. "Ten out of ten! You may enter, Miss Furry Twirl!"
Luna’s ears twitched. "If you call me that again, I’ll bite your door down."
"Noted!" Boo chirped.
And that’s when Vlad Jr. walked toward them elegantly.
"What’s happening here?" he asked, wiping his brow with a tiny, perfect handkerchief flourish. His voice was as cool as moonlight.
Boo puffed up proudly. "Boo is guarding! Everyone must dance to enter!" he announced, floating a little higher for emphasis.
Vlad Jr. blinked, then gave a tiny, unreadable smile. "Dance?" he repeated, as if the idea both amused and offended him.
"Yesss!" Drake cheered, bouncing on his toes. "Show us your royal moves, Vlad Jr.!"
Luna’s wolf ears twitched. She sat down, tail thumping once against the floor. "If he does anything embarrassing, I will eat his pride," she muttered, though her tail betrayed her by wagging a little faster.
Vlad Jr. rolled his eyes dramatically, the most aristocratic roll in kindergarten history, then stepped forward with slow, practiced grace. He lifted one foot, then the other, and performed the tiniest, most elegant spin you could imagine. It was less a dance and more a perfectly timed flourish, like a prince testing a ballroom. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Boo’s mouth dropped open. "Oooh! So fancy! Ten and a half out of ten!!" he squealed, floating in a delighted circle.
Drake clapped so hard he almost knocked his own wings. "Wow! Vlad Jr. did that like he is in music! How to learn that? Teach me, teach me!"
Vlad Jr. inclined his head. "It is called ’composure,’" he said coolly. "And perhaps you should practice not tripping over your own tail."
Drake stuck out his tongue and puffed his cheeks. "I have dignity too!" he protested, then immediately tried a very un-elegant twirl that ended in a small, noisy tumble. Boo cheered anyway.
Felix, lounging nearby with a sleepy smile, clapped politely. "Very refined," he said in appreciation.
Rocky and Kelpie appeared at the end of the hallway, blinking in confusion when they saw everyone gathered near the classroom door.
"What’s happening here?" Kelpie asked, tilting his head curiously, and in the process, he accidentally flicked his watery sleeve, splashing tiny droplets right onto Drake and Luna.
Drake hissed, jumping back as a puff of smoke rose from his head. "Kelpie!! Hot dragon! No splash zone!" he yelped, patting himself dramatically.
Luna shook out her fur, glaring with narrowed golden-brown eyes. "Do that again, and I’ll turn you into a puddle decoration," she growled, tail flicking behind her.
Kelpie gasped, trembling. "I didn’t mean it! Water just gets too happy sometimes!"
Boo floated between them with an exaggerated sigh. "No fighting at the door of Boo! You want to enter? Then dance!"
Kelpie blinked. "Dance?"
"Dance!" Boo said again, spinning in the air. "Everyone who wants to enter must do a dance! It’s law now!"
Rocky rubbed the back of his stone head. "Rocks don’t dance..." he mumbled, frowning.
Drake pointed at him. "Then roll! Rolling is dancing for rocks!"
Rocky looked at him blankly, then shifted into rock and slowly began to roll across the floor with a deep thunk-thunk-thunk. The floor trembled a little, and Boo gasped. "Rocky! Ten out of ten! That’s the best rock dance ever!"
Meanwhile, Kelpie looked determined. "Fine! I will show you dance of river!" he announced proudly, then proceeded to splash in elegant swirls, creating floating water rings that shimmered in the light. Boo clapped his ghostly hands. "Beautiful! The river spirit approves!"
Drake puffed his chest. "Okay, okay! But now my dance is better!" and he tried spinning again, only to trip over his tail.
Vlad Jr. covered his face with one hand. "It’s like watching civilization collapse."
Luna, still in her wolf form, howled softly. "If anyone splashes me again, I’ll bite Boo’s dance floor."
Boo gasped. "Nooo! Boo’s dance floor sacred!"
Sable appeared at the end of the hallway, happily nibbling on a piece of chocolate. He was humming softly to himself, completely content until he noticed everyone crowded near the classroom door. He stopped mid-bite, blinking in confusion.
"What’s... going on?" Sable asked, his soft voice carrying that innocent tone that made everyone pause.
"Ah, Sable Able! You’re just in time!" Boo spun around in midair, pointing dramatically like a game show host. "To enter this sacred classroom, you must dance!"
Sable froze, clutching his half-eaten chocolate. "D-dance?" he asked, eyes wide.
"Yes!" Boo said proudly. "Everyone danced! Even Rocky showed his Rock Roll Dance!"
Rocky, who was still rolling gently on the floor, spoke from inside. "Rocky roll again if you want!" he said proudly, bumping into the wall with a bonk.
Drake burst out laughing. "Haha! Rock Roll best dance ever! But you," he pointed at Sable, "you have to show your soft shadow moves!"
Sable’s cheeks turned red. "Everyone really danced?" he whispered in disbelief.
"Yes, yes!" Boo said, spinning happily in circles. "Even wolf Luna did spinny howl, and vampire prince did royal twirl! Now Sable Able must show something!"
Kelpie leaned close, eyes sparkling. "Maybe water dance with shadow ripple?" he suggested cheerfully, already splashing a few droplets on the floor to set the mood.
Luna sighed, tail flicking. "Oh great. Now the floor’s slippery again."
Sable giggled nervously, his little hands fidgeting. "O-okay... I’ll try..."
He took a tiny step forward, the chocolate still in one hand, and began doing the smallest, shyest sway anyone had ever seen. His shadow followed his movement, forming soft ripples like ink waves around his feet. It looked both adorable and magical.
Boo gasped dramatically. "OHHHH! Shadow dance!!! Ten million out of ten!" he declared, spinning so fast his ghost tail blurred.
Drake clapped wildly. "Wooo! Shadow boy can groove!"
Luna looked away, pretending not to smile. "Not bad," she muttered.
Even Vlad Jr. nodded approvingly. "Elegant. Understated. A fine performance," he said with royal seriousness.
Sable blushed even harder, hiding behind his chocolate. "T-thank you..."
"Okay!" Boo shouted triumphantly. "Everyone passed Boo’s dance challenge! You all may enter Boo’s kingdom of education!"
The babies cheered and ran inside, laughing and chattering.

Alina sat by the edge of the hospital bed, gently adjusting the blanket around her aunt. The woman’s skin looked pale but calm, her breathing softer now that the medicine had started to work.
"Dear, why don’t you rest? You’ve been running here and there the whole time," Aunt Lyla said with a tired smile. Her voice was weak but filled with affection.
Alina shook her head, brushing a few strands of hair from her face. "It’s okay, Aunt. You always take care of others—today I want to take care of you," she said, smiling brightly despite the exhaustion beneath her eyes.
Her aunt chuckled softly. "You’ve grown into such a strong, kind girl... your mother would be proud. She used to tell me, ’My Lina will be the light for everyone.’"
Alina smiled faintly, her heart warming at the memory. "She still is my light, Aunt. Everything I do—it’s for her and for you."
Aunt Lyla reached out, gently patting Alina’s hand. "You have her heart, dear. Always giving, never resting. But even the sun needs to set for a while. Promise me you’ll rest when you go home?"
"I’ll try," Alina said with a playful smile. "But knowing me, I’ll probably end up cooking dinner for Ethan instead."
Aunt Lyla laughed softly. "Ah, that boy is lucky to have you. You’re like a second mother to him."
Alina’s expression softened. "He’s such a good kid... I just wish I could make things easier for all of you."
Her aunt’s eyes grew glassy. "You already do, dear. You bring calm wherever you go. Even when everything feels broken, you somehow make it look like hope still lives here."
Alina squeezed her aunt’s hand gently, blinking back tears. "Then I’ll keep doing that... until you’re smiling again every day."
The older woman smiled, eyes shining as she whispered, "You really are your mother’s daughter."
Alina nodded, her heart aching yet peaceful. "And you’re my strength, Aunt. So you’re not allowed to give up on getting better—understand?"
Aunt Lyla chuckled, "Yes, ma’am," before closing her eyes to rest.
Alina stayed there for a long while, watching her breathe, feeling the hum of machines and the faint scent of antiseptic fill the room.
