Chapter 495: Chapter 493: Flirting Behind My Back (2)

"No way!" She pouted her cherry lips. "If you won’t drink, I’ll drink it myself!"

She brought the glass to her own lips and gulped down all the remaining wine. There was a bit too much, and since her alcohol tolerance was low, she could only swallow it little by little, her cheeks puffing up adorably.

Watching her, Kris Cooper couldn’t help but chuckle softly, leaning in close to her lips.

"Share some with me."

She snorted through her nose and turned her face away.

He didn’t say anything more, but leaned over to the side of her cheek, raised his hand to hold her chin, gently wiped the wine from her lips, and then smoothly captured her mouth in a kiss.

She was no match for him at all, and soon melted weakly into his arms under his kiss.

When she finally felt his hand slip under her dress, she came back to her senses just a little.

"The door... the door isn’t closed."

"No one will come in."

He comforted her with a low voice, then swiftly pulled off her little bra that was in the way.

...

...

After their shower, the two of them lay side by side on the big bed. Vera Wave curled herself up, leaning against his shoulder.

"Honey, did we ever do it before?"

She had been obsessing over this question for days.

Back then, she was still so young. Had they ever really been that close?

Although she’d had bits and pieces of memories surface before, she still felt a little unsure, so she had to ask him to be certain.

"Do what before?"

The man pretended not to know, asking even though he did.

She was both shy and annoyed, pouting wordlessly.

"What do you think?"

"If you don’t say it clearly, how am I supposed to know?"

"Hmph!" She turned her back to him and huffed, "Forget I asked!"

He turned to her, embraced her from behind, and wrapped his arm softly around her waist. Kris Cooper raised his hand to sweep the hair from her shoulder, then pressed his lips to her shoulder for a gentle kiss.

"Didn’t I tell you? You’re my girl. Of course, your first time was with me!"

She turned her face over, still a little uncertain.

"But I was only fifteen then, wasn’t I?"

"Sixteen!" he corrected her immediately. "That day was your sixteenth birthday."

He hadn’t wanted to at first, but this girl insisted on giving herself to him.

He was young then, too, and couldn’t hold back. Plus, being the first for both of them—and being nervous—it didn’t go very smoothly.

He had just started, and she already found it unbearably painful.

He had decided right then to stop, but she was stubborn and refused, so when they finally managed it, she bit his arm so hard she broke the skin.

She smiled at the corners of her mouth, finally reassured, though she deliberately mocked him aloud.

"I was so young, how could you go through with it?"

"I didn’t want to either, it was you who insisted."

"Impossible!"

He stretched out his arm and pointed at the spot near his left shoulder.

"See this scar? You gave it to me."

Vera Wave rolled over and, by the light, looked at his arm. Sure enough, there was an old scar on his arm close to the shoulder. It didn’t look too deep—time must have faded it—but if you looked closely, you could still make out two half-circle marks from teeth.
