Chapter 425: Chapter 424: The Girl from Six Years Ago (28)

These days, Kris Cooper hasn’t been letting her work at all, and she hasn’t written a word of her project plan!

Just as she opened her computer, she heard someone knocking on the door.

"Come in!"

Vera Wave looked up to see Mary carrying a box as she walked in and closed the door. She smiled ingratiatingly and placed the box on the table.

"I heard you were injured, and since it was inconvenient to visit, here’s a little something from me. You must accept it!"

"What’s this?" Vera asked.

"Oh, nothing much," Mary smiled, "Just some fruit, all washed and ready."

With a smile, she opened the lid, revealing the washed fruit inside.

Seeing that it wasn’t anything too valuable, Vera didn’t refuse.

"Thank you." She lowered her face and prepared to continue working, but Mary seemed to have no intention of leaving. Vera looked up, puzzled, "Is there anything else?"

"Of course, I have another gift!"

Mary walked over, locked the door, and mysteriously approached her, taking a USB drive from her pocket. She handed it to her with a flattering smile, "Just open it and you’ll see."

Vera took the USB drive from her hand, plugged it into the computer, and opened the files inside with her left hand. On the screen, a line of large words appeared—Project Plan.

She scrolled down with the mouse and there was indeed a detailed project plan.

"This..." She looked up at Mary, "Did you write this?"

"Of course, I didn’t write it," Mary winked at her. "It’s Archie Perkin’s plan. Now, you can know your enemy and win every battle!"

Archie Perkin’s project plan?

Vera looked up in astonishment, "Did you... you secretly stole her plan?"

"How would you call it stealing? That’s such a harsh word. She accidentally left it on my desk, and I picked it up to give you some reference, that’s all." Mary nudged her arm ambiguously, "When you sit in the manager’s seat, don’t forget about me! Alright, I’ll leave you to it, I’m going now!"

"Wait a second!"

Watching Mary head toward the door, Vera quickly called out to her.

"Don’t worry." Mary turned her face with a hand on the doorknob and winked at her, "Only heaven, earth, you, and I know about this—no third person does. I won’t betray you."

With that, she opened the door and left.

Vera looked at the USB drive in her hand, her face a mix of emotions.

This Mary, clearly a member of Archie Perkin’s team, yet she stole the other party’s plan for her. How on earth should she handle this?

Looking at the USB drive in her hand, Vera thought for a moment, then plugged it back into the computer and began to earnestly read the files.

The more she read, the more she admired what she saw.

Archie Perkin was indeed a talented woman; this project plan was really well-written.

Vera was quite familiar with this project, and though Archie Perkin’s plan differed slightly from her ideas, the overall direction was similar. The analysis of the project and the comparison with similar projects were spot-on.

Objectively speaking, it truly was an excellent plan.

In this project plan, Vera noticed some shortcomings and also some areas where Archie Perkin’s thoughts exceeded her own.

After reading through the entire project plan, she pondered for a moment and finally made a decision.

She unplugged the USB drive, stood up, and walked out of her office, heading straight to Kate Palmer’s office.

"Vera!" Kate Palmer looked up with a smile when she saw her, "How’s your arm healing?"
