Irene Spencer grabbed her. "Never mind that, start the car!"

The driver immediately started the car, chasing after Kris Cooper’s vehicle. π—³πš›πšŽπšŽπ˜„π•–π•“π•Ÿπ• πšŸπšŽπ•.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Anabel Wilton glanced at Irene Spencer and smirked. This woman really knows how to act, putting on such a show. She must be wishing Vera Wave dead deep down!

The car sped into the hospital. Before it even came to a complete stop, Kris Cooper threw open the car door, jumped out carrying Vera Wave, and ran towards the emergency room.

"Doctor, nurse... save her... please!"

Hearing his voice, doctors and nurses immediately rushed over. Someone pushed a gurney toward them while a doctor asked Kris Cooper about the situation.

"She was on set filming when an explosion happened. She was thrown into the air. When I found her, she had already fainted. She doesn’t have any visible injuries..." Kris Cooper hurriedly explained. "She still has a pulse! She’s not dead! You must save her!"

"We will do our best. Place her on the gurney!" the doctor instructed. He immediately turned and ordered the nurses, "Prepare for emergency treatment!"

The nurses carefully helped Kris Cooper place Vera Wave on the gurney and pushed her toward the emergency room. Kris Cooper followed close behind.

"Sir, you can’t go in!"

A nurse grabbed his arm.

"She’s my wife!" Kris Cooper shouted, shaking off her grasp. "I must be with her!"

The nurse blocked him. "I’m sorry, sir, but you won’t be able to help in there, and you might interrupt our efforts!"

Tommy Taylor also rushed over and grabbed him. "Mr. Cooper!" he exclaimed. "Stay calm. Nurse, sorry for the trouble. Please continue with your work."

The nurse nodded, went into the emergency room, and closed the door.

Kris Cooper, restrained by Tommy Taylor, stood outside the door. Watching the door close and Vera Wave’s figure disappear from sight, he felt a desperate urge to charge in again.

"Mr. Cooper, calm down!" Tommy Taylor said, restraining him firmly. "You’ll only make things harder for the doctors!"

Kris Cooper gritted his teeth and stopped. He shook off Tommy Taylor’s arm, turned angrily, and punched the wall.

"If anything happens to her, I swear I’ll kill those bastards when I get back!"

Tommy looked at his anguished face in silence. He knew words wouldn’t be any consolation at this moment. All he could do was hope Vera Wave was fine.

"Kris!" Irene Spencer cried, rushing into the emergency area. Seeing Kris Cooper, she hurried over to him. "Is Vera okay? How is she? Don’t worry too much, Vera will definitely be fine..."

"Shut up!" Kris Cooper cut her off in frustration. "If you don’t want me to throw you out, then keep your mouth shut right now!"

His mind was already a tangled mess; he was in no mood to listen to her attempts at comfort.

Irene Spencer took the hint and immediately fell silent, retreating to one side.

Seeing this, Anabel Wilton wisely kept her mouth shut.

The hallway fell silent once more.

Kris Cooper turned to face the emergency room door, his brow furrowed in anxious anticipation.

A short while later, Rowan Nichols rushed in, followed by several members of the film crew.

Tommy Taylor went over and quietly explained the situation to him. Rowan Nichols nodded and then stood to one side, waiting with the others.

After a little longer, Director Zhang also arrived, with Logan Miles, the male lead, and a few others trailing behind him.

This time, they had been relatively lucky. Apart from Vera Wave, no one else was seriously injured. A few extras had sustained minor injuries, and Logan Miles had a scratch on his arm. Fortunately, there was no damage to muscle or bone, and his face was unharmed.
