I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 367 - 368 Little Master will take good care of you (1)
As the elevator ascended, Kris Cooper kept hold of Vera Wave’s hand. She stood beside him, her heart tightening unconsciously with the elevator’s movement.
When the elevator reached their floor, he led her out without hesitation, striding into the CEO Office.
"You’re all dismissed!"
After instructing everyone, he strode towards his private office. Vera fervently wished she could disappear into the ground. However, he gave her no such chance, pulling her directly into his office.
Turning around, Kris Cooper raised an arm and firmly shut the door behind her.
Vera was startled and bumped into his chest. Before she could step back, his arms had already wrapped around her waist.
Listening to the forceful, rapid beat of his heart, her own pulse quickened.
He locked the door with one hand. He then cupped her small face, and without uttering an unnecessary word, leaned in, seeking her lips.
"Kris..." Vera nervously raised her hand to his face. "The window... the window!"
"Nobody can see us!" he murmured, kissing her lips once more.
The Ashton Building was the tallest, most iconic structure in the area, truly standing out. Its top floors towered over the surrounding office buildings. Unless someone flew past the window in a helicopter, it was impossible to see what was happening inside.
Kris Cooper wasn’t at all concerned about this.
He had always been audacious and unrestrained, but Vera was growing increasingly nervous.
She was worried about being seen, afraid that the staff in the CEO Office might hear something... Even if they didn’t hear anything, everyone would surely guess what they were doing... The thought made her even more tense. Her whole body was rigid, her small hands desperately clutching his shirt, her back starting to grow damp with sweat.
In contrast to her anxiety, Kris Cooper was completely focused, deeply savoring the sweetness of her lips. His hands, too, boldly explored the soft places only he was privileged to touch.
Under his passion, she gradually lost herself.
A moment later, the cool touch of bedsheets on her back made Vera realize he had laid her down on the large bed in the attached resting lounge.
The golden-orange light of dusk streamed in through the window, bathing her skin in a gentle, warm glow. The fine hairs on her shoulders shimmered in the sunlight.
"Vera!" he murmured, leaning over her. He gazed at her face, luminous in the sunlight. "You’re so beautiful!"
Breathless, she couldn’t speak. Her cheeks flushed as she managed a small smile. She reached up, intending to pull down her T-shirt where he had pushed it up.
Her fingers had barely brushed the fabric when he caught her hand, bringing it to his chest.
"Help me!"
Though her face was crimson, she nevertheless took the edge of his shirt and began to unbutton it for him.
A smile touched Kris Cooper’s lips as he pulled a necklace out from under his shirt.
"Help me with the ring."
Realizing she had misunderstood, Vera instantly wanted to find a crack in the bed to crawl into.
She reached out, unclasped the necklace from around his neck, and carefully took the ring that was on it. Kris Cooper extended his left hand towards her.
His fingers, long and elegant, seemed to glow with a golden light from the sun.
Holding his hand, she gently slid the ring onto his left ring finger, pushing it slowly down to the base.
The ring settled perfectly at the base of his finger—not too loose, not too tight. It was just right.
