Ruben Campbell introduced the two make-up artists he had invited to Vera Wave and her friends with a smile. After a brief chat, Ruben went downstairs to check on the preparations with the ushers, while the two make-up artists opened the toolboxes they had brought with them.
"Which lovely lady would like to go first!"
"Do them first, I’m not in a hurry!" Vera pushed Merlin Bradley and Ashton to the chairs, then opened her backpack and took out two jewelry boxes, handing them to her friends, "One set each for you. I picked them out specifically to match your dresses!"
The two girls accepted the jewelry boxes and, upon opening them, exclaimed simultaneously.
"They’re so beautiful!"
When it comes to jewelry, Vera certainly isn’t lacking. Even during the toughest times, she had sold quite a few to meet living expenses.
Both sets were gifts from her father, and they were her favorites. She didn’t part with them, hoping they’d serve as a memento, and today she brought them to complement her friends’ outfits.
After all, without good matching jewelry, even a high-end dress can appear cheap.
One set features black gemstones, and the other set has pink gemstones and pink diamonds, perfectly matching the girls’ outfits.
"Vera, are these diamonds... I can’t wear them!"
Ashton gently stroked the necklace in the box with her plump fingers and immediately returned the box.
"What are you talking about, these are just crystal rhinestones!" Vera came over, took the necklace out, and placed it around her neck. "These are just rented decorations, not real, just don’t lose them."

The young make-up artist began to work on her hair, while the older one picked up her tools and started working on Vera’s makeup.
Despite calling it a natural look, it’s not easy to achieve.

Ruben Campbell rushed in, "Ladies, are you not finished yet? The event is about to start!"
His reminder made everyone realize the time.
"Then I won’t finish it." Vera said as she tried to get up.
"No worries, we have another half-hour!" Merlin Bradley glanced at her phone, "How about this, we’ll go out and cover for you first, finish up and then join us!"
Looking at her reflection in the mirror, Vera nodded reluctantly. With her makeup half done, she couldn’t go out like that.
So, Ruben Campbell took Ashton and Merlin Bradley out to handle the guests, while the make-up artists continued with her makeup.
Ashton, being a leader in the real estate industry, had organized an event that was also a key government project, naturally attracting many industry big bosses to attend. As the event time approached, the parking lot downstairs was filled with luxury cars, resembling a luxury car show.
