This morning I went to the Deceit Dynasty and brought some goodies for Xia Chan. Xia Chan said she wants to follow me wherever I go.

I’ve thought about bringing Xia Chan to the present, but after discussing with Mom, we decided not to for now.

With what’s happening in Xujiawan Village, plus Mom telling Xu Shufen about the story relay group, there’s a good chance we’re under special attention from certain departments.

An extra person at home would be hard to explain.

I told Kou Yushan that I’m planning to go to Wangshan City later. Kou Yushan seemed a bit tempted. He’s currently staying with Skinny and Liu Tianyou at his uncle’s Funeral Shop.

He Baosheng’s family has some wealth and rented a small courtyard. Kou Yushan said he would take Xia Chan to He Shouhui’s place for a few days. He needs to secure everyone’s household registration first and has to deal with the county government.

Before going home at noon, I strolled around the busiest street in Dongyang County to record the prices of various items.

Interestingly, I saw glass and soap there. They’re a bit expensive for ordinary people, but not unaffordable.

Didn’t go to the Deceit Dynasty today.

Yesterday, I saw an old Chinese doctor. As Mom guessed, I have blood deficiency. I was prescribed blood-nourishing Chinese medicine. The old doctor also advised me to eat more pig liver and other foods that can nourish blood.

But pig liver tastes awful. I don’t like the taste of animal organs.

The old doctor also said my health isn’t as good as Mom’s, saying I shouldn’t be so frail at my young age and should exercise more, not mess around with dieting.

Got a bit of a scolding, but it’s good to know Mom’s health isn’t a big issue.

Yesterday afternoon I also visited Grandma Shufen. Most of Xujiawan Village has been demolished, with no water or electricity, yet she’s still living there.

I made a copy of Yan Daozi’s book on various talismans as a thank you gift for her. Grandma Xu was very happy, immediately wearing her reading glasses to start flipping through it. Despite her age, she still diligently learns.

I felt quite ashamed, but it was only a fleeting moment of shame.

I asked Grandma Xu why she suddenly called Mom that night. Grandma Xu said it was an inspiration from the Mountain God.

She was in the living room scrolling through short videos when the Mountain God Statue suddenly fell from the shen kan. She got startled and dropped her phone, which accidentally dialed Mom’s number.

The number is one I saved for Grandma Xu last time, along with our address, so Grandma Xu could contact Mom if she needed a place to rent.

Grandma Xu said that once the call connected, she only heard dog barking. She felt something was wrong, so she performed a divination and then headed out.

Grandma Xu has already agreed to move to our neighborhood. Originally, she wanted to refuse, but her Mountain God Statue fell again, and after another divination, she finally agreed.

Grandma Xu also said she feels like her Mountain God is a bit special towards me, so much so that it’s fearful and very accommodating.

Didn’t go to the Deceit Dynasty today either.

After I fell asleep last night, I entered the Nine Netherworld to take a look around.

After the Ming Mansion incident, my soul fell a hundred-plus ranks in the Nine Netherworld Hell, and I’m currently at Third Layer, 349th Rank.

Meanwhile, my Heart Lamp has only reached the strength of Third Layer, 10th Rank.

Such a disparity makes me prone to impulsively resorting to violence in challenging situations, and I easily spot filthy things and hear strange sounds when I’m out.
