Chapter 360: Chapter 360: Another Civil War

"What do you mean, Siderius?" Joul said.

"Have you ever thought that it was unfair? That those monsters rule this kingdom instead of us?" Siderius said.

"What... I..."

"You are human, Joul. Just like me. They aren’t. They’re witches. And they feast upon us to keep themselves alive. It is disgusting. They need to be cleansed. And the gods sent me here to do that."

The four apprentices and the Knights killed off all the golem. Then they started to put the people in the gray trees out of their misery.

They had died long ago and were only kept as a tree to produce more tears for the Mother Trees and the witches.

The knights ended their lives swiftly by breaking their hearts. Then they burned the trees down.

Each and every one got their Karma raised just by this simple act. And Siderius, the culprit of them all got the most out of it. Silver strands flooded into him like waves of ocean. His Karma rocketed into a huge level.

The world favored him and so were the gods of this world.

The Fate Gods, of course, those that played by the rules of the world. Not the Chaos Gods, which would be associated with the witches.

"You! Are you declaring war with the entire kingdom?" Joul said.

"Not war, Joul. A cleanse. I’ve travelled through many areas of this kingdom. Their armies are a joke. The true power lies in the witches. And they’re very few."

Joul gulped before continuing, "What’s in it for me?"

Siderius smiled, "Finally. You asked the right question. You will be spared. And you shall be guaranteed a spot in the new world order. You can’t ever become a baron, a count, or any nobility title. Why? Because you’re not a witch. I will change that."

Joul gasped then nodded, "You swear on your life?"

"I swear on the soul of my late mother, River of Rivertown. If you join me, you shall be rewarded accordingly."

Joul smiled, "You need me to gather the forces of the human, right?"

"Yes. But also no. My friends already did that."

House Arist. A noble family that he rescued a while ago. They joined Snowfell after their Count tried to get rid of them. That was the first wave in the Royal Court. The other noble family realized that they were nothing in front of the ’High Nobles’. They were simply pawns in those witches’ games.

Siderius had ordered them to secretly make connections with many noble houses. They had agreed to follow him. All the nobles of the North had joined.

Everia currently had a Civil War. Siderius intended to do the exact same thing in Eldoria.

"This is the time for the four Kingdoms, Joul. And I shall be one of them."

"What do you need me to do, Siderius?" Joul said.

"I need you to help me to get into the Groves in the North and pluck them out of my kingdom." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"It shall be done!"

After the cleansing of the farm, every Knight felt that their power was increased. They had a feeling that they could strive for the second rank of Spirit Art very quickly.

Each night practiced Spirit Art but also walked the Light-Bearing Path. The path that made use of Light Aether. It’s the quickest way for them to gain power.

The Knight Code was also designed specifically to adhere to that.

Currently, the will of this world was one Siderius’ side. So he wanted to make use of that entirely.

Each knight was also fed with Development Tonic. Each had the physical prowess that a normal human could never have. The 30 knights were all super soldiers in their own sense.

Siderius led his small platoon back to Santa Roberto. He let Joul Burticker go because he was useful and Siderius knew that Joul would go along with his plan.

Joul had ambition. Ambition that was blocked by his bloodline. His own greed made sure he would take Siderius’ side.

They returned to Santa Roberto a few days later.

In Siderius’ office, all the apprentices and notable personnels were there.

"We have liberated a farm. Joul is helping us concealing this from the Royal Court. But soon, they would find out about this. When they do, it will already be too late.

Their Mother Trees would starve from not having its food source. That is when we will strike the Groves.

Without Mother Trees, the power of witches in the North would be weakened greatly. They would soon return to the cowardly rats I knew them from."

Everyone grinned widely. Each person here had a grudge with witches. They were all happy to see their reality slowly come into fruition.

The head of house Arist was also there. Ruben stepped up and bowed.

"The Noble Houses responded. They’re ready to rise up and follow your banner, my lord."

Siderius nodded, "How many are there?"

"36 noble houses. With a total of 9,800 foot soldiers, my lord."

Siderius rubbed his chin in deep thoughts. The soldiers were much less than what he thought. The entire half of Eldoria couldn’t muster even 10,000 soldiers.

The witches intentionally kept the number of human soldiers low to avoid any uprising. But that also made their force very few. Siderius estimated they would have no more than 30,000 soldiers.

Generations and generations of feeding on humans had made the population of this kingdom incredibly low.

The only issue was the witches. But Siderius would deal with them himself. He had confidence because he had seen the light of his third rank of Spirit Art. When he completed it, his power would be comparable to the Major Witches. Those that ruled the lands of Eldoria.

’I need to up my mutations quickly as well. It is still at rank 1 at the moment. While both my Soul and Spirit are at rank 2.’

"What about the creatures that I need?" Siderius said.

Nadia walked up and bowed, "The first legion has acquired quite a few specimens ready for you, my lord."

"Perfect. And our Knights?"

Henry and Damien walked up.

"There are twenty more brilliant soldiers that are suited to be knighted. They had the talent and the faith to follow the Knight Code. Some of the Knights are also very talented and we can pick a few of them to be witch hunters, my lord!" Henry said.

"Very good, Lord Instructor."

Siderius turned to Damien. The previous prince of House Argentius scratched his head.

Damien got away from Everia to escape the war. And now he was standing in the middle of one.

He sighed and said, "I’ll train them as best as I can."

Siderius nodded, "Everyone is dismissed."

They all bowed and left.

"Now... It’s time to up the rank of my mutation." Siderius was still stuck in Odora I. It’s time for him to complete this mutation level.
