Chapter 359: Chapter 359: Hidden Arts

"What are you doing, Satterblade?! Stop this heretics right at this moment!" Joul shouted at the top of his lungs.

Siderius unsheathed Blazing Soul in a flash. The blade was shining with the color of silver. The edges were sharpened to its utmost quality.

The blade stopped right at Joul’s neck, "Are you a witch, Joul?"

"What..." Joul raised his hands tremblingly, "You know for sure that I am not a witch."

Siderius smirked, "So am I, Burticker. So am I."

Henry led the knights flooded into the Farm. Immediately, guardians sprouted up from the ground. These were rock guardians being brought to life by witches’ curses. It was similar to the Gargoyle that Siderius made but with a different mechanism inside.

The Knights of Santa Roberto were all suited up in Dull Steel armor. Dull Steel might not be great as sharp weapons. But as armor, no weapons in Eldoria could penetrate it.

The Knights were trained ruthlessly by Siderius, Henry, and Damien. They had all the skills in their hands. What they needed was only experience. Experiences such as this.

The Golem Guardians had circular heads with blue spheres rotating constantly inside.

As a Knight approached it, a Golem raised its slow arms and slammed at him. The Knight pulled the leash and took a sharp cut. He jumped onto the Golem and drove the sword inside the blue sphere.

The Golem lost all of its power and fell down to the ground. Another Knight rushed over with his horse just in time for that Knight to jump onto the back of his horse.

"How are they..." Joul widened his eyes. The last time Joul visited Snowfell, the soldiers there were still at their baby steps. But now, they were all fearless.

Siderius smiled, "Surprised, huh?"

Joul couldn’t help but nod.

That was the power of willpower. It could heighten the amount of time they acquired their skill. The more they believed in their path, the quicker and stronger they would become.

Siderius gave them one that they couldn’t deny. The Knight Code. To be better than you actually were. To be the image of the perfect knight that people could only see in stories. That faith fueled their will and made them train relentlessly.

Siderius saw first hand the amount of blood and tears each Knight had paid to reach this level.

Henry took out his curved Strong Steel Sword. Siderius made this one for him also. It was named the Raging Viper by Siderius.

Henry had also learned a Spirit Art that Siderius designed. An art that was made specifically for him.

Henry tapped the sword. Fire emerged around the curved sword.

He jumped onto a Golem and spun. The curved sword created a fire sphere around him. He slammed on the Golem and quickly shredded its away pieces by pieces.

Roland led a few knights and approached a Golem. He rolled his left sleeves up to reveal a few tattoos glowing on his forearms. Those were the Alchemical Sigils that he engraved on his hand.

"Celera!" Roland shouted. A certain glow wrapped around him as he disappeared from the place. When he showed up again, he jumped behind the head of the Golem.

"Rivuso!" Roland quickly drew a new sigil in the air. A fast moving, high-pressurized water stream shot out from the sigil and at the blue sphere inside its head.

It lodged the sphere outside of the Golem. Another Knight took the opportunity and sliced the sphere in two when it fell near him.

The Golem fell to the ground.

Ashe took a deep breath. She grabbed the Shrieking Swallow.

"Hidden Art! Swallow Tailwind!"

She pulled the sword in the blink of an eye. The Shrieking Swallow screamed as an invisible forceful gust of wind struck the golem.

The wind went past the Golem without any effect. But as it took its first step. The Golem’s body was split in two. It collapsed on the ground.

A Knight rushed over and smacked the blue sphere into pieces.

Rea and a few knights gathered the human slaves.

"It’s alright, everyone. We’re here to help!" Rea said.

The slaves were dazed. Their faces didn’t have any expression as they were led away. Suddenly, a Golem rushed at them.

Rea turned back and grabbed her sword, the Obelisk.

Her sword was the only one that was made with Dull Steel.

Siderius didn’t try to play favourite. He also wanted to forge a Strong Steel sword for her. But Rea declined. She wanted a Dull Steel sword. Because she felt like her Spirit Art would go well with it.

Each apprentice had their own Spirit Art that Siderius created.

Ashe had the Throne of Ruler.

Roland had the Power of Words.

Henry had the Spirit of Drifter.

And Rea had the Core of Self.

The Core of Self reinforced Rea’s original resilience and made it stronger ten fold. Now, whenever she accumulated enough experience to gain a skill or advance in her path, it would greatly boost her power.

The Core of Self was also tied to her sword, the Obelisk. It was the only Spirit Art that established a connection to a weapon.

Rea pulled out her Dull Steel Obelisk. The sword lit up in silver lines. It’s as if there was something hiding beneath the rough form of Dull Steel. When Rea became whole, it would also transform.

Rea squinted her eyes, "Hidden Art! Diamond Cut."

Rea’s hidden art skill was very simple. A simple vertical strike from the top down.

It hit the Golem and immediately stopped it in its path. A shock wave swept over the battlefield. The Golem flew back as cracks started to form from the point of collision.

Rea rolled her left sleeves up and revealed Sigils similar to Roland.

"Acuto!" Rea said.

A silver glow wrapped around the Obelisk. It was both the power of the Alchemist and the power of the Spirit Swordsman.

Rea jumped onto the Golem and drove the Obelisk down at its chest. Its entire body was split in two. Along with its blue sphere.

Joul gulped. He couldn’t believe it but each of these apprentices of Siderius was at least at the level of a Lesser Witch.

There weren’t even that many Lesser Witch in Eldoria. A few dozens maybe. Each was a count of their own territory.

"What are you trying to do, Baron of Snowfell?" Joul said.

"What I’m doing is not of concern to you, Tax Collector. At least, it isn’t what is important TO you. Because right now you need to make a choice.

Do you side with the human? Or do you want to side with the witch, Joul Burticker?"
