I am the Entertainment Tycoon-Chapter 956: Solving the Puzzle I
The sun, a white disc on the horizon, cast elongated shadows from the Heartwood Mountains across the Moon Blossom Village. Thirty minutes remained until its descent. The air, thin and cool, carried the faint, sweet perfume of blooming flowers from the surrounding forests. In the village's central square, villagers ran to set up the final night of the Spring Festival. Food stalls, game stalls, and others were doing the last few touchups to receive the villagers, tourists, and others to celebrate the last night of the season of blossoms.
A child, no older than seven, sat on a low stone wall at the edge of the village. Their small hands were clasped around a smooth, grey stone, its surface warmed by the receding sunlight. The child's eyes followed the trajectory of a butterfly, its wings a vibrant orange against the muted greens and browns of the landscape. The butterfly fluttered erratically, alighting momentarily on a cluster of purple blossoms before taking to the air again. The child's lips moved silently, as if forming words not meant to be heard. Beyond the village, the Heartwood Mountains loomed, their peaks catching the last golden rays. The forests at their base, a riot of color, pulsed with life. Trees laden with blossoms, ranging from soft pinks to deep violets, formed a fragrant carpet. Bees, their bodies dusted with pollen, moved with focused purpose from one bloom to another. The collective hum of their activity was a low murmur carried on the breeze. A lone hiker, midway up a less precipitous slope of the mountains, paused to adjust the strap of their worn backpack. They surveyed the vista spread before them: the village nestled in the valley, the endless expanse of blooming forest, and the approaching twilight. A sigh, a gentle exhalation, escaped their lips, a sound swallowed by the vastness. They then continued their ascent, their pace unhurried. In a small cottage on the outskirts of the village, an elderly woman sat by a window, her gnarled fingers knitting a length of coarse wool. The yarn, a deep indigo, moved rhythmically through her hands. Her thoughts drifted, not to the present moment, but to memories evoked by the changing light, memories of other sunsets, other seasons of blossoms. She did not acknowledge the dwindling light, her focus solely on the repetitive, comforting motion of her needles. The sky, a canvas of deepening blues and oranges, began to bleed into hues of rose and gold. The shadows grew longer, stretching like fingers across the valley floor, slowly engulfing the village. The air, once warm from the day's sun, held a growing coolness, a harbinger of the night. The last day of the season of blossoms, at this particular moment, was experiencing its prelude to dusk.
**Layout Room, Flower Bunny Inn.**
While the nearing sunset painted a beautiful, fiery end to the day outside, casting long, dramatic shadows across the grounds of the Flower Bunny Inn, Theo and his friends were engrossed, locked within the confines of a specific room. Their minds, however, were not on the tranquil fading light. Instead, they were entirely consumed by a complex mystery that had remained unsolved for over a century. Despite the weight of the historical puzzle, a palpable sense of joy and excitement permeated the air, a testament to their shared passion for unraveling such an ancient enigma. They relished the thrill of being on the cusp of a historical discovery.
To efficiently tackle the multifaceted mystery, the group had wisely divided itself into three distinct teams, each assigned to investigate different facets of the puzzle. After more than an hour of meticulous clue analysis, poring over documents, symbols, and the very architecture around them, each of the three teams had achieved a breakthrough. Their individual discoveries, when brought together, promised to be groundbreaking – the missing pieces that would finally unlock the secret that had eluded people for generations.
"Guys!" Theo's voice suddenly cut through the focused silence of the room, resonating with an urgent, yet cheerful, energy.
The three teams, spread out across different sections of the room, each engaged in their respective tasks, looked up at him, their faces a mixture of curiosity and anticipation.
"Nightfall is almost upon us," Theo announced, gesturing towards a window where the sky was deepening into shades of purple and orange. "How about we start exposing each team's discoveries and see how they fit together?" he suggested, his enthusiasm infectious.
A chorus of agreement rose from everyone present. Eager to share their findings and collaborate on the final solution, the three teams reconvened, gathering in a central area. Each member of the group had a distinct sparkle in their eyes and a proud, triumphant expression on their faces. The success of finding such crucial pieces of information had clearly energized them, making the arduous task feel immensely rewarding.
"Let the first team start!" a voice prompted, the request filled with eager expectation.
All eyes turned to Shizuka, Kaori, and Shoko, who comprised the first team. They were about to reveal their significant contribution to the century-old mystery.
"Okay," Kaori began, a warm smile gracing her lips as she stepped forward. "Our task was to figure out the meaning, or rather, the underlying pattern, connecting the art pieces displayed on the inn's second floor with their hidden, symbolic meanings." She paused, allowing the audience to absorb the challenge. "We initially approached this by meticulously tracing the spiral paths woven into the inn's design, trying to identify which art pieces intersected with each of these unique spirals. We were looking for a direct visual or positional correlation." Kaori explained the initial struggle. "However, after a considerable period of analysis, we couldn't discern any clear or logical pattern between the art and the spiral pathways. It was at this point," she continued, her voice tinged with admiration, "that Shizuka made a truly groundbreaking discovery, a sudden flash of insight that changed everything."
Everyone listened with rapt attention, their anticipation building with each word Kaori spoke. The promise of a "groundbreaking discovery" had them on the edge of their seats.
"She discovered," Kaori revealed, her smile widening, "that the entire second floor of the inn wasn't just a collection of rooms and corridors; it was meticulously designed to *mimic* the spring night sky!"
"That is one of the principal reasons," Kaori explained, her voice gaining conviction as she pointed to a detailed 3D model of the inn displayed on a nearby table, "why this floor is shaped like a pyramid. Imagine this pyramidal structure as the vast expanse of the spring night sky," she elaborated, her gesture encompassing the model. "The magnificent wooden mural depicting the 'Vine Constellation' is strategically positioned *here*," she indicated a specific spot on the model. "And when we overlay the blueprint of the spring night sky, the 'Vine Constellation' – exactly as it appears in the actual heavens during spring – is located in that very same position within our imagined sky!"
A collective gasp of astonishment rippled through the room as the implication of Kaori's revelation sank in. The sheer ingenuity of the inn's original architect was dawning on them.
"After meticulously checking the other art pieces, each depicting different constellations, against this celestial map," Kaori concluded with a radiant, happy smile, "we were able to confirm Shizuka's incredible theory. It was a perfect match!"
"Oh my god!"
"Woodwright is an absolute beast!" The crowd erupted in a cacophony of excited shouts and exclamations.
"How did he possibly achieve such a feat of engineering and artistry over a hundred years ago?"
"This is unbelievable!" The sheer scope of the discovery, the meticulous planning, and the historical depth of the mystery had clearly overwhelmed the assembled group. They were buzzing with questions and awe.
"But that wasn't all," Kaori interjected, skillfully bringing the excited crowd back to attention, hinting that their team had unearthed even more crucial information.
They all looked at her and waited for the rest of the explanation.
"After knowing that the pyramidal-shaped second floor should be looked at as the night sky. We used the spiral paths to discover a pattern hidden inside the pyramid that formed the second floor." She said as she showed a picture highlighting the pattern they discovered.
The picture showed that inside the pyramid-shaped inn's second floor was the pattern of a treasure chest!
"But that wasn't the most important discovery we managed to find," Kaori didn't wait for their reaction to the pattern discovery before continuing, "We followed this pattern and discovered the connection between the art pieces' hidden meanings!"
"They formed another clue poem!" She exclaimed before reciting the poem for them.
"Follow the clues the ancients spun,
Step by step, to sky's highest moon.
When paths align and shadows fade,
The keyhole wakes where truth is laid.
Ascend in turn, one by one,
And treasure gleams when all is done."
