The more Michael looked at the knight, the more annoyed he felt, but there was nothing he could do to the guy, which only made him even more irritated.

Suddenly, he realized the problem wasn't simply what the knight had guessed about his identity but what an ordinary person would think when looking at him.

It was true that dressed like he was now, in a normal environment, he wouldn't stand out. But if he walked next to Iris, no matter what, people would see him as a slave because even a noble's servant dressed more properly than him.

He wasn't like Leo, hadn't gone through real war, so his personality was still quite playful. Leo didn't mind being seen as Iris's slave, but he definitely wouldn't accept that.

His gaze kept shifting around. Michael was considering whether to wear the genie outfit or not. That outfit's style was a bit strange, but the hiking shoes he was wearing looked even stranger. If he thought about it that way, changing clothes wasn't a problem.

But he would wait until they left to change. Suddenly summoning the genie outfit in front of the knight would probably cause more trouble.

Iris took the confirmation papers and nodded. While at it, she also wanted to ask for directions to the city.

"Do you know the shortest way to the city... What's the name of this small city again?"

If Raphael didn't say it, they wouldn't know, and they didn't really care either. They only remembered that there was a beginner academy in a nearby small city.

The knight didn't seem surprised seeing that she had no sense of direction. Instead, her dismissive attitude and calling the nearby place a 'small city' only made her identity even clearer.

As if already prepared, he took out a regional map from his bag. This map was never for him to use, since he was a local. It was meant for nobles traveling from afar.

He did this just to try his luck a bit, to see if he could earn something. After all, this map wasn't worth much; pleasing a noble was far more valuable.

"Miss, this is the map to Crestwood City."

"Oh, so it's called Crestwood."

She replied casually, as if this was just some remote place not worth her attention. She opened the map and looked at it and... understood nothing.

What dragon even reads maps? How the hell would that even happen? Of course she wasn't an exception.

Back then it was simple, she just flew whichever direction she liked. As long as she didn't forget the way back to her territory, nothing else mattered to her.

"Mm, got it. Take it."

She nodded, then took out a handful of jewelry and handed it to the knight. It could be said he was quite well-trained. Even though his eyes were full of excitement, his face still tried to stay as calm as possible.

And of course she didn't understand a thing. But she still had to act like she did, because nobles had to learn a lot. If she couldn't even read a map, it wouldn't make sense at all. Later she could just toss the map to Michael and Leo and let them guide the way.

"Thank you for your grace, miss."

The knight bowed again. He was also a noble, though at a lower rank, but it wasn't like just anyone could make him bow.

Yet in just one session, he had bowed more than he usually did in an entire year. And he did it very willingly.

"Alright. You can continue your work."

Iris waved her hand, not even turning her head to look at the knight for even a bit. This sudden action left Michael and Leo stunned for a moment before they followed her.

Michael was getting more and more tempted to change clothes. Even if people noticed him, he couldn't keep putting up with this frustration forever. He was a genie after all, no one could completely kill him.

"Wish you have a… pleasant trip."

He originally intended to use the word 'smooth', but after thinking about it, 'pleasant' was better. Could a great noble's outing ever be anything but smooth? Who would dare block them? Besides, with the way she spent money on a whim, no one would make things difficult for her.

Bandits along the road weren't even worth mentioning. This wasn't the early age of humanity anymore. Most bandit groups were just hidden subordinates of noble families. They weren't brain-dead enough to rob a great noble.

Seeing that they didn't even bother to turn back and look even once, the knight wasn't too surprised. The difference in social status was too great, so he couldn't expect them to pay any attention to him.

But he didn't need empty words or promises of rising status in the future. He knew his own strength and what position he could reach. Getting things like gold and jewelry was far more reasonable.

Just today alone, he had earned more than his total income for half a year. The only loss was the map he paid for himself, everything else was free stuff received from The Great Sun Temple.

The group of three had gone quite far, only then did Michael summon the genie outfit. This outfit could barely be considered a divine artifact. Its trait was indestructibility.

Of course it had no defensive capability at all. Once worn, the person could be damaged, but it would remain intact.

"Oh, decided not to be my slave anymore?"

Iris casually said it while also wanting to test if Michael would fall for this simple 'trap'.

"Of course. Why would I want to be your slave forever."

Michael raised his face proudly and shot back, then suddenly stopped, his face quickly darkening.

"Wait, since when was I your slave?"

Only now did he realize he had 'fallen into the trap'. Even though it was just words and not anything real, the discomfort in his chest was real.

"Haha, didn't you just admit it yourself?"

She laughed seeing how easily Michael was tricked. If being optimistic, it could be because he wasn't on guard against her since she was an ally. But the most reasonable reason was that in such a short time, he hadn't had time to think.
