Chapter 93: I will make sure to deliver them to your feet

Raymond was silent. So that was how she saw it. Of course, she would never imagine that he would fall so madly in love with her. But for him to come this far in saving her, she had to at least have a little clue about it, right?

And if she didn’t have a single clue then he would say she was more clueless than he ever imagined.

"No, it’s not." Raymond answered. "How about we sign a new contract when we get back? Are you up for it?"

"As long as I can be of use to you, I will sign whatever contract you give me to sign. I’d love to be by your side for a far longer period so please, do take care of me."

Her words took Raymond’s breath away. Why were they sounding very gullible when he knew clearly that she wasn’t gullible?

It sounded so much like she would sign any contract given to her by anyone, except, she wouldn’t. She would only sign the ones he gave. And she was willing to do whatever he wanted, no matter what it was.

His grip on her tightened as he remembered how she got into this situation in the first place. This time, he wasn’t going to act completely selfish and he was going to make sure her safety was the priority.

"Do you not hate me?" He asked and Ariel looked up at him, shocked at his words. "Do you not hate me for all you went through?"

"Why would I? You didn’t do that to me."

"You were kidnapped, Ariel. And then you were raped on countless occasions that just thinking about it makes me mad and feel like shit." His veins popped out, expressing how depressed and angry he felt about it all. "They hit you, Ariel. And did so much to you and that’s all because you were following me around and helping me get a stupid revenge that never concerned you to begin with. Don’t you blame me? Even for a little bit?"

Ariel was silent. She stared at his face but he refused to show his eyes. She had to bend her head down a bit to be able to look him in the eye.

His eyes showed a mixture of countless emotions. There was fear, agony, anger, guilt and helplessness. He had all this building up in his heart that he didn’t know exactly how to express them or how to deal with them.

All this was new to Raymond. He had never felt this way because of another human being and having this happen to someone whom his heart was yearning for. A person his body positively reacted to... He couldn’t handle it.

"Raymond." Ariel called informally and his eyes widened before raising his head. "Whether this happened because of your negligence, your improper plot or your lack of emotions, it’s not going to change anything."

She placed her hand on his face and lightly grazed it on the surface of his skin.

"Let’s say I do end up hating you for what happened to me, would that make you feel better?" She asked but he did not respond. "Wouldn’t that make you feel even more awful? If I were to live the rest of my life hating you and each time our eyes meet, I throw mine away in disgust, would your heart feel at ease? The answer is no. So instead of hating you, cussing at you or blaming you for something that has already happened, I would rather focus on regaining my strength in order to pay back those bastards for what they did to me. Ten folds." Her eyes turned dark. "I’ll make sure to hit them harder than they hit me."

Raymond looked at her serious and dangerous expression with a blank expression before suddenly smiling. He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it.

"I will make sure to deliver them to your feet."

"That’s more like it." Ariel said and smiled. "Now, let’s keep moving. I think we’ve rested enough."

They made their way to the top of the mountain and Raymond called Steve.

"Is there any problem?" He asked Steve.

"Yeah, we got a situation."

"What happened?"

"There are a lot of guards at the foot of the mountain. And it’s not our guards. They belong to the twins."

"Does that mean they’re headed our way?" Raymond asked with a straight face.

"That may appear so and that’s why we’re still here. We’re trying to take out as many as we can without alerting the twins."

"That’s a good idea but how long do we have till they catch up to us?"

"I’d say about twenty minutes... at most." Steve said and Raymond’s eyebrows furrowed.

"What? And why did you wait for me to call you before you informed me? We’re going to get caught at this rate." His clenched fist trembled.

"Not to fear. I already called for help. She should be where you are in a moment." Steve said.

Raymond couldn’t understand his words but the moment he started hearing the sound of helicopter rotor blades heading their way, he understood what Steve meant when he called for help.

So the she in the helicopter was probably Paige. But really? An helicopter? They were just giving their location away to the enemy.

This helicopter had already started drawing the attention of the guards and the twins who were searching the mountains for them.

They immediately headed for the mountain top in a rush. They were so desperate to get Ariel back because of so many nonsensical reasons. One was because they wanted to keep pissing Raymond off. Another was because Ariel was really fun to play with, like she was some toy.

Having her as a sex toy for over two months worked up their sexual desire and they felt they would never find someone as exciting and adorable as her to play with. Though she struggled each time, her struggles were very fun to watch.

The last nonsensical reason was because they had not succeeded in breaking her mind. Though they were able to break her body and bend her in all positions a human could ever bend in, her mind was very thick and she kept sane. She never gave in and that sorta pissed them off.

Now that Raymond was already taking the company from them, they felt it was even more reasonable that they keep Ariel with them.

Thanks to the trees and greenery, there was no place to land the helicopter so Paige threw down a ladder for them. She looked down, only to see the both of them, hand in hand, trying hard to look up at her.

"Phew." She exclaimed in relief. "He found her."

"You go first." Raymond said to Ariel and she nodded but the moment she placed her hand on the ladder, a gun was fired in their direction.

Raymond immediately held her to himself and used his body to shield her in case of another gun fire.

"Stop right there." Leo screamed and his voice was heard through the rotors’ heavy wind sound. "Give Ariel back to us and nobody dies."
